It was also my first time using a reformer and I was a bit nervous about the experience since I haven't worked out in years but, the instructor Skylar S was amazing. She took her time explaining the machine, was very attentive to everyone in the class and made the class enjoyable and fun. I purchased their new members deal that included 2 classes for $40 and can't wait to go back. Classes are small with about 8 reformers for each class which makes the experience intimate and not intimidating. There are lockers for you to place your things in and a nice bathroom for anyone who may need to change clothes before class.

Out of the 8 weeks, they would tell us at last minute that our child would not have classes because instructors took the day off. The swimming pool is very large and has plenty of lifeguards however the locker room/bathroom situations is quite a big problem mainly in the showers since there is little to no hot water some of the time also there are broken movable shower heads in both family locker rooms and the floor itself looks festered with disease it left a bad taste in my mouth. Besides that issue the community center has good heating and air conditioning and very friendly staff and good wifi as well.

However, not every yoga session can or will ever be compared to Yogiando NYC's yoga sessions, lead by this wonderful healer Ms. Rosana Rodriguez. Yogiando NYC represents to me is having a great opportunity to experience the power of healing through Yin Yoga. When I first attended Rosana's class I was a bit hesitant Because I though it would be one of those classes where we would have to bend over backwards & do strenuous flips. But on the contrary, it was a beautiful and peaceful experience. I do not attend as often as I would love to because of health conditions. But when I do attend it makes me feel 99.9% much better, by just walking into the class. Rosana is such a great caring individual that she makes the environment so welcoming and easy to adapt. She not only is helping me & many more learn how to self heal through the power of yoga. She also motivates us to feeling beautiful, comfortable with ourselves, and how to gain the power we need to push our own limits, in a very peaceful and meaningful way. so let me first acknowledge how my name makes this whole review kinda shady, but as much as an…read moreinternet stranger can assure you - i am a real person, not related to or friends with the folks who run this studio. i just came from my first session with rosana and i loved every bit of it. she greeted me and my friend as we walked in and asked how we heard about her studio - in a truly internety moment, i said through a retweet from a person who is all about holistic wellness online and she responded by bouncing in place with absolute joy. she then gave us each a warm hug, as though she was welcoming back a good friend. hook, line, and sinker. the room was dimly lit with soothing music playing in the background. mats with two blocks and a blanket were well spaced throughout. she admitted that it was cold, but this was out of her control. at the beginning, she asked if there were any non-english speakers as she would provide spanish instruction too, but since there weren't any, she proceeded in english. her instructions were clear and gentle, my body felt safe with her guidance through yin yoga. at the end, we chatted with her a little bit and learned that she had her baby shower in that very space 21 years prior. and when it came time to look for a space for her studio, this happened to be one of the ones she thought about. i was so excited following the session, i asked if it would be possible to volunteer for her. this is the kind of yoga space i've been seeking for the past year and i want to do whatever i can to support rosana. i hope you do the same.

The employee was trying to convince me to buy a package or membership but I asked, "Why would I do that if new people can never get into class?" Awful business model for a mediocre place. The studio space is pretty long and narrow, but the bathrooms are spacious and clean. They even have Tower28 and Oribe available at the refresh station in the back! It's really good for people who want a lot of personal attention and for those who don't want to be in a big, crowded studio atmosphere. Marcy, the owner, has been teaching Pilates for a lot of years and the teachers she hires she researches thoroughly. I really like working out there and definitely recommend it. Plus, its in a beautiful neighborhood!
