No automated answering systems, no press 1 for this, 8 for that, and those automated menus usually don't have the option you're looking for. I get a live person every time. There was a short time when my boss decided to try another vendor (don't ask )... but it didn't take long to realize that was a huge mistake. Our copier has been in storage since Covid began and we had to sublease our office. We were happy to pay the full contract fee, amounting to about 3+ years of non-use, but wanted them to remove the copier early to avoid having to pay for our storage space. We are a small non-profit (we literally have 2 employees), and have struggled since Covid, given we are an in-person events operation. Despite knowing all this, and despite being willing to pay the contract in full, they still insist on tacking on extra fees to remove the copier early. This is not a company I would ever do business with again. I'm not one to write bad reviews, but South Coast Copy has left a very bad taste in my mouth. read more

Abusive sneaky contract and false promises. They said that they could streamline our connection to google drive to keep folks from having to scan to email or local resulting in lost files. They completely failed and refused to fix the problem, blaming google. We were clear with them that this objective was the primary goal of getting this machine and they completely failed to deliver, would not solve the problem and kept charging us for the machine until we refused: then they sent us a $25K bill for the machine and sent us to collections in the middle of this Covid nonsense...Lousy business practices. Horrible company to work for, people here are fake! They like you the first few days. Then ignore you after. No training at all. If your in sales or telemarking, they give you old leads from years ago. Then expect the sales rep to close the appointment. First, the lead is so old. The sales rep has prob been out there six times over the year. Two most of the sales reps are brand new and cant Close the appointments you set for them. The system they make you use to call these people is so old and beat up. Any telemarketer they hire. Will struggle with making good appointments, and if you make the appointment the sale rep will be brand new. He won't know how to close.. stay away and find a company who values and appreciates you. read more

The last thing I needed in 2020 was my copier going down. However, SCCS, made a crummy station better. From the time I phoned, to the service received they were so easy to work with. A previous manager entered into an agreement with South Coast Copy for our site and I took over as the manager for the site. We only have 9 employees on site with other occasionally working at our site and we have a second copier on site so we really don't need the copier but South Coast Copy is not at fault. As the contract was written we were going to have to pay for the copier throughout the term regardless so I called and asked them to send someone out to install a wireless NIC card so that we could place the copier in a more convenient location and all I got was excuses as to why they couldn't perform the work. There was some kind of change in out accounts payable department and there were some issues with getting invoices processed. I have been trying to get an invoice for all outstanding invoices and and the necessary documentation to schedule the pick up at the end of the term for over a month. I want to make sure that we pay all of the remaining balance and terminate the contract at the end of the term but out account rep will not respond to emails. There are no technical issues with the copier but I feel like we are not getting support from the company for our administrative or service needs. read more

We reached out to South Coast Copy Systems as a local representative of Canon business multi-function copiers/scanners for our construction company. They were patient through our long decision-making process and delivered our 4 new units in late 2019. So far they have been reliable machines and South Coast's sales and service has been excellent. They have followed through on their promises to create custom work-flow processes for certain tech-challenged employees and Ray has been available for any questions we have. 3 months is a short time but we have been please so far with SCCS service and sales. read more

My experience with South Coast Copy Systems started out great. Very nice salesman that seemed honest. I explained to him that I needed a copier but that we may be shutting down our business in the near term. They made all types of promises of helping me end my lease by placing my copier elsewhere. They also said they could easily negotiate an end of lease with the copy company. When the time came to actually help me, I was told too bad, I am stuck with the lease and they would not help me end my lease by placing my copier elsewhere. WATCH OUT!! These guys are very smooth salespeople and they roped me into a 3-year contract for a copier that we then were charged at least over $100-200/month for overage fees...and at the end of my contract, it has been a nightmare going back and forth to close out our account. We've gone around in circles about how to return our copier with the response initially being, "sure, no problem," to then it's completely my responsibility, I have to pay over $300 just to end the contract and cover shipping fees to send the machine back to the leasing company (which I didn't even realize was not SCCS). Not sure what this is about, but I urge you DO NOT get stuck in a leasing agreement with these guys! Save your money and headaches, and get a copier at Costco with return anytime policy! read more
