Upon walking in for my first time, the staff greeted me from behind the register. After looking at all the supplies, modules, and parts that were for sale, I felt like a kid in a candy shop! I've never seen a store quite like this and I was very excited. The shelves looked like my Amazon purchase history, although I had to restrain myself a bit to avoid upsetting the wife with my shopping spree. I was originally looking for multimeter fuse, sadly they didn't have the size I needed. The staff was extremely friendly and even gave me recommendations on where else I could go to find the fuse. The prices of everything else were extremely fair and would be comparable to being the same, or less than prices you would find online. Willy's is now my go-to for anything electric that I'm doing!

Before we could even negotiate, the employee, a tall Hispanic man in a blue shirt, became incredibly aggressive. He falsely claimed my MacBook was bought outside the US and had a "Spanish keyboard," which is a total lie since I bought it at a US Apple Store. When I corrected him, he scoffed, literally threw my MacBook back at me, walked away, and snapped, "I ain't interested." Throwing a customer's expensive electronics is completely unacceptable and borderline violent. Management needs to check their cameras and handle this employee immediately.

From start to finish, the experience was incredible: Justin in Geek Squad genuinely cared about helping me and made the process easy. Carla, the Geek Squad technician, was knowledgeable, professional, and confirmed the issue was covered. Within hours, my claim was approved. I then worked with Stephen from the Audio/Video team, who went above and beyond to find the replacement TV I wanted, even though it wasn't in stock. Ryan, the Assistant Store Manager, also took the time to answer my questions and made sure everything was taken care of. Great teams are built from the top, down and it shows. In the end, I received the newer model of my TV and even got about $500 back in store credit because of the price difference. I honestly couldn't be more impressed. This experience has truly changed my opinion of buying big-ticket electronics in-store. I'll absolutely be purchasing them from Best Buy going forward, and I'll always add the Protection plan. Last week I had to emergency purchase a new camera body for a shoot. Best Buy had it listed as "1-hour pickup," so I placed the order thinking I'd be able to grab it before my shoot. Hours later the order still wasn't ready so I figured I'd be able to grab it the next day. Come to find out the NEXT MORNING, they didn't actually have the camera in stock. When your livelihood depends on your equipment, listing something as available for pickup when it isn't can put someone's entire job at risk. And this isn't my first frustrating experience with them. I've also seen products priced higher right before a "sale," making the discount look way better than it actually is. I'm just so tired of corporate greed and huge companies getting away with practices that would absolutely destroy the reputation of a small business. Also customer service did absolutely nothing for me when I told them about the issue.

Hello, The candy shop is a great place for computer geeks. I was had some old gaming gear and was going to get my buddy in to gaming. I was having issues with the cpu with mother boards. I ordered 2 on amazon and had to return them. The CPU I had was a i5 6600k. It was tuff to find a mother board new online for that CPU. I finally came across the GEEK CANDY SHOP, visited them on Saturday. They let me test my gear at there shop. Angel was a great help in trying to get my CPU to post. Finally after we tried 3 mother boards we came to the conclusion that I had a bad CPU. I had a budget of 100 bucks. Angel was able to get me a decent computer at that price. It was a 3rd gen i7 with 12 gigs of ddr3. Computer came with case, motherboard, cpu, cpu fan, 2 dvd drives, power supply. I took it home, installed my gforce 1060, a 1tb drive I had and installed windows 10 on it. My buddy was super happy about it. The candy shop is a great place for computer enthusiast. That have a everything under the sun when I comes to computers. If you want to build a low budget PC or is you need a part and its hard to find, I would totally recommend the candy shop for your computer needs. read more

My motherboard gave up the magic smoke so I figured I would just buy a bare bones machine with no hdd. I saw this small ad on Offer Up and asked if they had something like that. Got right back to me saying he had I7 3770 bare machine that was a $100. Trust me, thats a good price. I thought it was going to be a warehouse affair with just racks of computer towers. Boy, was I wrong. It was like Fry's on steroids. They have everything from the tiniest adapters to giant monitors. I'm just so pumped I found this place. read more

My computer lost it's hard drive and I was in a panic. My forte is software, not hardware but the folks down at Geeks Candy Shop in Mira Mar, California saved the day. The gentleman that helped me was friendly and very helpful. Thought the service was going to cost me an arm and leg, but I walked out of there for under $100 and a like-new computer under my arm. When I first brought my 2025 MacBook Air to him my concern was that the cursor would freeze for 15 - 30 seconds quite often, and the round balloon kept appearing and would not let me do anything on the computer also for 15 - 30 seconds throughout the day. Also, it just seemed slow when I tried to open a pages document. Maddening. I told him I know nothing about computers and that I wanted it to work the way it always had since I bought it. He told me he would have to reinstall the operating system. What do I know? I said sure. Even now while typing, the computer stops typing every so often and I have to wait about 15 - 30 seconds for my computer to catch up and print my words. Continuing with my sad tale of woe. I came back the next day and paid him $170. Unfortunately when I got home the computer was not the same. To start with my desktop did not have any of the documents I had saved to it and there were other problems. So I called him and I asked him why he returned my computer to me when it was not the same computer I brought into him. He said I could put everything back on the desktop and he started to rattle off what I needed to do. Ridiculous! I stopped him and reminded him that I said I was tech challenged and did not feel competent to do that. His response was for another $70. he would put my desktop back the way it was. Outrageous that he would half fix my computer, return it to me not the way I gave it to him and then he wanted to charge me more. So I foolishly paid him and the next day my desktop was what it used to be. However, there remained other problems such as my Passkey not working but decided, rather than call him, to call Apple support and they were able to resolve these several issues. Here it is 2 -3 weeks later and I am again having the same problems with the ball and the cursor freezing throughout the day. Also, my computer is being very slow to open my Pages documents. The very same problems he supposedly fixed when he reinstalled my operating system. For sure I will not let Mr. Chip touch my machine again but I will take it to a repair shop that I have used before. The only reason I didn't use them this time is they were backed up and said they couldn't get to my computer for at least 2 days. I should have shown patience and waited. My bad!
