I am a 74 year old woman. I am vibrant and alert and during my career was in executive positions in major companies. However, I have severe balance issues now, and 4 weeks ago fell, breaking my shoulder and bashing my knee. I didn't want to make my husband have to take care of me so elected to go to a nursing facility for PT and to get back on my feet. This place had an opening so off I went Awful, awful. Bedding reminded me of something that would be supplied in a homeless shelter. Majority of staff were CNA's that have a total of 6 weeks training. LVN's are young and quite oblivious of best medical practices. Maybe one RN once in awhile. Bathrooms adjoin with next room and no privacy if you are a patient that wears underwear and uses the toilet. And good luck getting the necessary soap, warm water and towels to wash up in the am and pm. "Shower day" is fun. Never been in prison but the handling during my shower was rough, hurried and cold. Last but equally horrible - the food. Dreadful bilge. And what is with giving patients milk? I havent had milk since leaving puberty. Short of impossible to get a cup of coffee. After my father's third stroke, it became clear that my mother and I wouldn't be able to take care of him until he regained more mobile. After he was hospitalized for a few days, we were forced to transfer him to a skilled nursing facility. We were given many options. We decided to go with South Coast Post Acute (SCPA) because of the relatively close proximity to our house in Huntington Beach, but we were originally concerned that the ratings weren't that good on Yelp and Google. We have heard horror stories about nursing homes, so we wanted to make sure that SCPA would take good care of him while he was there. My father ultimately stayed at SCPA for over a month. We were actually very impressed by the care he received there. It is clear that SCPA's management hired a strong group of caregivers. I am normally horrible with names, but I took notes on those who took care of my father. They are a great group of caregivers that should be mentioned: Nina, Brian, Matthew, Jesus, Omar, Lubna, Alyz, Logan. Rosario, Olaya, Los Angeles, Lizbeth, and Keanna. Physical therapy did everything they could to help my father with his mobility issues; they were all excellent. They included: Meray, Ethan, Anthony, and Nick. Rosetti is an excellent speech pathologist. My father's ability to eat without choking improved significantly because of Rosetti. I'm sure I'm forgetting a name or two, but all of these people were great. I wouldn't hesitate having a loved one at SCPA. read more

Very checkered experience. The good: the Kaiser doctor in charge of the patients is an absolute gem, willing to go five extra miles to help. The rehab staff, especially the SLP, are excellent. The facility smells good and is clean. The bad: my husband was completely aware and capable when he was here. Staff , particularly the charge nurses and cnas refused him prn meds because "you don't need them" didn't follow the slp's directives, and were habitually poor listeners due to their excessive time demands. My husband died shortly after discharge, specifically due to the CNAs giving him meds without elevating the bed adequately, and burning his throat. read more

The place LOOKS great. We drove up the long driveway, and it felt like some Southern estate in South Carolina. The building itself has columns and LOOKS very stately. Patients were outside on the porch in their wheelchairs. When we walked in, the front area was decorated with Thanksgiving props. We walked in and went straight to my mother-in-law's room. She had just left Kaiser where she had surgery for a broken hip. She was placed at South Coast Post Acute for 1-2 weeks of rehabilitation. Our biggest complaint is that NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. When we were there, we asked the nurses (seven nurses, four of them sitting, mind you) at Nurse Station 1North why no one answers the phone. They all looked amazed and gave us two extensions: x3023 and x3040. We went home after visiting. When we tried to call later that afternoon, same problem. Five minutes of ringing and no answer. As I noted, the place LOOKS great. There's even a reception window. But when we asked the receptionist for a business card, he looked around and found no business cards. "We have stickers," he offered. So we took a sticker. "We have business cards on order," he explained. Yeah, sure. Appearances are important. A facility that looks bad probably IS bad. This place LOOKS great. I just know that my wife would like to be able to check in on her mother and her quality of care on a regular basis, and that is just not possible at SCSA. read more

My wife was transferred here following a fall at home 3 days prior.She is 81, my daughter was assured pain medication would be given at the prescribed time, it was NOT. My wife was in severe pain but a staff member told her"it's all in your head, you don't need any, stop crying". She was unable to walk, was a high fall risk but 2 staff members insisted she try to use the Walker to go to the bathroom. She was in a non railed bed, even as a high fall risk. Our family demanded a transfer back to ER. She was moved back to ER per our request. Facilities are limited everywhere, staff is under pressure BUT We do not recommend this facility. read more

I was scared when Kaiser was going to place my husband here. He had a stroke and had limited use of his extremities. We were both pleasantly surprised at the level of care here. They hire people who truly care. From the security, front desk, CNA's, nurses, therapists, and food staff. They were all amazing individuals who would help at the drop of a hat. Or get someone who could help you. My husband was there for a month. We did have family there nearly all day. The staff would have him up dressed and in a wheelchair every morning. They didn't want him deteriorating sitting in bed all day. There were several seating areas both inside and outside. Which made wonderful places to visit. We also were able to bring food in for him and sit outside to eat. All the therapists were amazing. My husband made huge strides. Even when he was discharged they had everything we needed delivered to our home. Of course there are times when the staff would take a long time to answer the call button. They have so many patients with varying needs. So that is to be expected. My husband said where is room was made it difficult to sleep because it was noisy. There was a small TV at every bed, a little closet, shelves and nightstand for his belongings. To help keep from losing clothes they put a sign on his closet stating we would do our own laundry. I would leave a couple of outfits in the closet each day. And a bag for dirty clothes. They had water and ice set up by the nurses station. They have activities and church services. I'm getting out of here today, four days early, not ideal but sleeping anywhere but here is a better option. I had hip surgery and am otherwise fine. First, the staff: for the most part - excellent. Most of these caregivers are nice people who care. Administration was responsive and apologetic and seem quite competent. PT is ok not great --not much of it for me so that was disappointing. My huge complaints are the food and night services which are both a zero. Try sleeping here. The patients are screaming off and on all night. It's like an insane asylum. Theyre screaming because nobody answers the night bell to help them. I can attest to waiting over an hour to get to the bathroom at 2 am. Twice. If you don't have an advocate with you, forget your voice and endure. They need to help you be heard, bring healthy food and meet comfort needs. My daughter brought me a healthy meal every day because I believe one heals faster with a healthy balanced diet. There is no fresh fruit at all. I had only one green vegetable in 10 days. Watery cereal, processed eggs and potatoes, sandwiches on balloon bread, whipped oil spread - no butter.etc. Don't come here unless you have no other options or unless you have a family friend or relatives who will address your needs daily. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. This place was an option from Kaiser after hospitalization and closest to my home. I should have researched more before I got delivered here. Part. 1 Overall this place is good. I had my mom there for almost 3 months, and I was with her the whole day, everysingle day! from 8am until 8pm, I couldn't stay the night there for some policy reason, if not I would be there 24hrs. So my review is honest and more concrete. All I can say is, if you have an advocate or someone that is gonna be with your love one, then everything would be fine. I know it can be hard reading all these comments, cause my family went thru the same thing, we were scared to send my mom to this facility, but this was the only option that we had, and being honest, we don't regret it. Thanks God because we were praying for this place and staff, so we can find grace on the staff, we were able to met an amazing staff there and helpful, specially station 1 North, (I can't tell about the other stations, cause we never got the opportunity) But the CNA's and Front desk from Station 1 North are amazing and even the patients, all you gotta do is being polite, nice, friendly and always positive, don't come with a negative attitude or demanding stuff in a rude way, because you will be threated the way you are threating. My mom had a Traumatic Brain Injury, and a lot of fractures all over her body, plus a lot of stiffness. So basically she needed a lot of help and max assistance. One personal tip that I can share, is that you have the right to demand, but in a respectful way and also being on top of them. For example when she first got there, she needed a bigger bed (to being able to get rotated), she needed side rails to prevent a fall and also an extra support when holding, and she needed a telephone. Those where the things that we asked and we got them. CNA service - At first she needed to be turn every 2 hrs so that way it can prevent open skins and her body moves, anyway, we needed to be on top of that and always asking the CNA's to help me move her, same thing with diaper change, immediately I will look for a CNA and ask for help. And yes they can take a while to answer, but is because they have 12 to 13 patients to take care, so you need to be patient with that, and depending the CNA there are some who actually care of what they do, and other who doesn't. That's why I would watch and then help them, so that way I can keep my mom clean and free of infections. But all I can say is the CNA service is a 4 out 5 stars, they are nice and charming. LVN service - LVN were amazing!! again like I said, I'm rating for station 1 North. Every single one of them were amazing, always helpful and giving my mom her meds. And like I said before, you need to be on top of them when asking for medicine, like a pain med, which I would ask 30 min ahead of time before her therapy. But overall they were always nice and respectful and so charming. 4 out 5 stars Front Desk (station 1 North) - The front desk staff was so amazing and always helpful, I would ask for information about my mom appoitments or results, contacting the nurse practioner, etc... so helpful and and charming. 4.5 out of 5 stars Treatment Nurse - Good staff, always helpful and caring about the patient, and like I said, be on top of them, or kinda like reminding about it. They need to take care of other patients too, so we need to have patience and always ask nice for the stuff. 4.5 out of 5 stars Physical Therapy (OT, PT, ST) - These people were amazed!! so charming, nice, polite, supportive, and the list goes on. They helped my mom to get some strenght and mobility, and that helped her to go into the next step. But all the staff is so nice, they gave me hope, and I'm so grateful for them, because honestly I was loosing hope for my mom to get better, but everything it's a process and i'm so glad we were able to met this personal, because they were always cheering up and motivating us. 5 stars out of 5 Transportation arrangemnet - The lady was so helpful and nice, always preparing the transportation for my mom to her doctors appointments, she will let me know when transportation was set, and the time to pick up and coming back. I would always go with my mom to her appointments and talk to the doctors. 4 stars out of 5 Activities staff - They were so nice and funny, always giving a fun time to these people, they are always trying their best to give some entertaiment and happinies to their patients, they decorate for halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New year, Honestly and amazing experience. They also have 2 dinning tables which is great and helpful, and I'm glad they let us used it, because we celebrated with our family Thanksgiving, Christmas and New year there!! 5 stars out 5 read more

Just got out and was very disappointed with the care .let me start by saying physical care was great.but the nurses care lack care. From 45 minute to 1hour wait after pressing button to not answering simple questions. My favorite was a young nurse in scrubs looked professional but my roommate asked for tea and she answered by saying they were out of hot water. Sounds like bs to me. If you have a microwave you can make hot water. Then later I asked the same nurse if I gave her money could Sha get me a diet soda from the machine in the nurses lounge. She said they close the lounge at night bs again because an hour later I asked a different nurse and she got me a soda.my suggestion is they hire people that want to give care instead of people that just care about them selfs0 read more

The reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1, is because Dr. Keys from Kaiser was great. He took extra time to explain about what was going on with my friend. Answered my questions. Taneka the social worker was sweet and gave me some good advice. There were nice CNA's that cared. What I am furious about is my friend came in with a UTI and he is incontinence. That means CHANGE HIS DIAPERS WHEN THEY ARE WET ASAP! He also had dementia, which he might not push the nurse button when he pee or poop in his diaper. Again, check regularly and make sure he is dry. Again, I repeat, my friend was partly there because of a UTI infection. My friend came back home with fungus growth close to his genitals and fungus on his balls. Fungus likes to grow in a warm wet environment! The staff was NOT changing his diapers in a timely manner and or cleaning him properly! Inexcusable especially with a known urinary tract infection! My friend was supposed to get physical therapy. I was told he was getting one hour a day, two visits a day, 6 days a week. If that was true, then WHY?? did my friend when he walked into his house, right after I picked him up from South Coast Post Acute, collapsed and went to the ground because he was bending his knees and would not straighten them when I told him to straighten his knees. Then I tried putting my friend in a chair without armrests and he flopped over on the ground again like a ragdoll. I was not warned how bad he was physically compromised. If he received physical therapy 6 hours a week, he would have understood about straight knees, and would have been in better shape. My friend is very underweight. He came in at 122lbs. I let the facility know he needs to eat more food. Instead, he lost four pounds, in this facilities care (10 days)! One day I saw what they fed him for dinner. He had and egg salad sandwich on white bread and some veggies and milk. That was not enough food, he is 6 ft tall. He left the facility weighing 118lbs. I tried calling South Coast Post Acute when my friend was there, but they do not like to answer their phone. South Coast Post Acute did not use chux or throw away underpads, during my friend's stay. They used white sheets. When I asked the CNA why. She told me she believed it was a way to save money. Why increase patients' risk for fungus infections, bed soars so the company can save a couple of dollars? Cutting corners, at patients' expense. I do not fault the nurses, CNA, or the physical therapist. I fault the facility for understaffing. Companies have a right to make a profit. BUT when it means cutting corners and hiring less staff. Giving substandard care to each patient, to save money on labor, for the company, this is WRONG! There needs to be better protection for the most vulnerable at nursing facilities. read more

I rely on Yelp reviews heavily so was nervous when Kaiser sent my father here for a fractured ankle. So many reviews were negative. I was blown away by the patience, care, attitudes, professionalism and genuine concern each of the nurses, physical therapists, case managers and onsite physicians showed my father. They were always available when I called. My dad was never neglected. It's no Ritz Carlton but is more than adequate for the purpose of rehabilitating injuries. I would not hesitate to stay here myself if needed. Don't waste time worrying about the what ifs and instead see for yourself based on your own experience here and I hope you find that your loved one is in a great place. read more

Terrible atmosphere and dirty. Ceiling in my room had a dried spot that looked like an overflown toilet of feces in it I waited an hour for someone to come in and say hello but never happened. I was so disgusted that my husband and I walked out and never looked back. I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. One RN in this S--- hole of 120+ patients is ridiculous and dangerous. Do NOT bring your loved ones here. The staff does not answer the calls for assistance. They leave you to wait and wait for help People cry and scream for help when no one comes. At 2:30 in th morning my roommate was left sitting on her bed waiting for her pain meds for over an hour. While employees stand around chatting people are in pain and waiting to use the restroom. My call light was left on waiting for assistance, the staff person walked in, shut it off and walked away without asking me if I needed anything. I had to say that I needed my meds while she looked right at me. She then brought me pill when I can only take liquids. my mouth wired shut. This staff is incompetent, lazy and not doing their job!!! They tried giving me the wrong meds twice in one day and all the wrong foods. Why or how would someone with their mouth wired closed eat solid foods? Kaiser runs this facility which is why the are in a hurry to discharge patients to this place. I hate this place. I don't want to die here. Please someone shut this horrible place down. read more

Like a couple other reviewers have said, the place LOOKS good from the outside. But once you get past the foyer and head into the patients rooms in the back it's like "UGH! Oh my god! Ohhhh my god no! No! Please no oh god please nooooo!" Yeah. This place didn't give two craps about my poor dad. He has some beginning dementia, diabetes, and cancer and has been placed on hospice care. He needs help doing almost everything. They just left him lying in his room by himself most of the time. Didn't change him at all! You have to check on him constantly to see if he wet himself or sht* because of his dementia he didn't understand the "call botton" and if asked he usually says he didn't which means he probably did! My pulse is pounding right now remembering this hell I put my dad through. He smelled like 2 day old sht* when we picked him up. And guess what we found in his diaper??? 2 day old sht! Uu fkrz didn't shower him, didn't change him, didn't smell the sht or didn't care Ffffffffff I was so pissed off but THATS the level of care you can expect your loved one to get at this place. Kaiser should be ashamed to have this place as an option. Thankfully my dad was only there for 3 nights otherwise he'd probably be fffffn dead. 0 stars. If you don't care about your loved one or the quality of care they receive and you just want to dump them off somewhere, under the nearest bridge would be better than this place. I feel so bad for leaving him there for 3 nights. I don't think I'll ever forgive myself for this horrible mistake. Kaiser should be ASHAMED. God forgive me for this....fun hell....I'm getting hot writing this so I'm going now. I really despise this place. My father was sent here at the end of March after his back surgery in February. He said he did not want me to come visit him, the place was very sad. I went anyway and it was indeed SO sad. I felt dirty as soon as I walked in. They had me sign in - date, name, and time. That's it. No room or who am I visiting, which I thought was interesting. My father was in so much pain. He said he had to tell the nurse(s) 3 or 4 times to stop giving him his medicine because it made him nauseous and unable to eat. When I went to collect his things after he passed, because I was in shock, I asked the nurse "are we SURE it's my father (name)?" She laughed. LAUGHED. I looked at my husband in disbelief. Asked again "We are POSITIVE it's him?" She said oh...I guess you can go identify him. WHAT. Sooooo unprofessional. He had a massive heart attack 4 days after arriving here. Too many suspicious things surrounding his death at this place. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I wish I did more to fight the insurance and get him moved somewhere else. I miss him. read more

My dad, Vince Hambright, was cared for at SCPA for 3 years. I must take this opportunity to praise the staff and leadership for the amazing kindness and care they provided my dad. The customer service, quality of care and kindness has been remarkable. Every staff member knew my dad, knew his preferences, and went out if their way to treat him like family. When I relocated from CA to TN, I asked my dad if he wanted to move with us. His answer was very clear; "no way". He considered those folks to be his family, and he was very happy there. My dad passed several weeks ago at 94 and I could not be more grateful for y'all giving him a great few years of life. God Bless you all! read more

The CNA's here are absolutely wonderful! They answer call lights quickly & spend as much time as the patient needs. The outside & entrance to the building is beautiful. The rooms are adequate but I do strongly recommend they do something with the bed controllers, as they are not attached to anything & constantly fall onto the floor. The place is clean with a scent of bleach rather than the usual scents there can be in a LTC facility. I am a rehab patient, learning to transfer myself at home while maintaining no weight bearing to right leg. The physical therapists & assistants have been great too! I'm a RN & was very worried about coming to a rehab/LTC but honestly, this place is tops! read more

We've only been here 48 hours, but I like it so far. I've experienced a SNF before (a high priced one) and this one was one of four Kaiser choices. It smells better, the staff is uniformly kind to both patients and each other, and the care is significantly more attentive. The room has three people and tiny but this is outweighed by the other factors. The swing out tvs really cut back on room noise dramatically. read more

My husband had a stroke and was admitted to South Coast Post Acute for Physical and Occupational Therapy. We were very happy with the facility, staff and dining services. The PT's we had, Gayatri and Ali were so professional and thorough in working with us to ensure a smooth transition back to our day to day lives. The OT's Leena and Lana were great as well. They did do much to help me focus on the tasks that Mike really needs to do. The Dining Services Director,Debra, gave is personal attention to ensure that everything was within my husband's preferences. read more

I drove 1.5 hours to get here but they did not let me in although it is a social distence visiting. Finally I talked to the charge nurse and she let me waited another 1 hour. This place is a joke! They nearly killed my sister! She was sent by Kaiser who they contract with. Didn't give my sister any of her meds. BLOOD PRESSURE OR INSULIN. No Antibiotics or anti seizure meds for two days. They said it's not our fault! We don't have a pharnacy! We have to order meds& when they get here they get here. While my sister was having an episode. She was totally out of it & needed to be rushed to the ER for their neglect. And she was only there physical therapy. And they get attitudes when asked questions. While there other patients complained they hadn't gotten their meds either. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. read more

I recently had a stay at the Kaiser Sand Canyon hospital. After, as part of my physical therapy, I wound up at South Coast Acute Rehab, part of the Kaiser system. It was a nightmare: took three days to get a bed with safety rails. A major safety violation. would not listen to patients. Ignored their requests, repeatedly. staff rude, very gruff to patients. could take up to an hour after hitting the call button to respond room is very small, esp. for two people. Less privacy than usual, even for rooms like this staff overworked, probably terribly underpaid. One woman was working seven days a week; another worked six days, with two of them double shifts took dump in bed, pressed call light, was in shit for 45 minutes before anyone came read more

If you have any other option beside this facility- go there or send your loved one there. My mother has been here since 2018 and it's been frustrating and heartbreaking to see the way she is treated here. She can barely talk and can only slightly move her right arm, so she is completely dependent on the staff there. She is however, fully cognizant of what is going on around her. She has been put in her wheelchair and left in the hall with nothing to entertain or stimulate her, her teeth are never brushed, her clothes that we buy her always go missing even when we properly label them. She is without her call light in reach often. Most recently she has been made to share a room with a psych patient (my mother is not a psych patient) who screams shrilly ever 5-10 minutes even throughout the night. My mom has woken up to this patient standing over bed and throwing all of my moms clothes out of her closet. No one will help us address this mismanagement of room assignments and we can never get ahold of her nursing station- 3 South. Part of me feels bad to leave this review as there are a select handful of LVNs and CNAs who are wonderful and provide excellent care. However, there must be a problem with the management of this place because those individuals are the exception not the rule here. We are actively trying to get her transferred but it's been difficult to find a good place with an open bed. read more

My father was set to be discharged from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility. As a Kaiser patient, there are only four locations in OC that met his criteria. SCPA was the closest to my moms home in Assisted Living, but we were willing to make the drive so dad could have the best care. I visited SCPA prior to dads hospital discharge to have a look around. I was greeted with by a friendly and helpful receptionist, and offered a tour. I was an unscheduled drop in, and they gave me a full tour, answered all my questions and assured me that my dad would receive the best care here. Upon admission, the facility and staff were AMAZING! Kind, patient, caring, responsive and so much more. They called me regularly to inform me of my dads diagnosis and progress. The facility is clean, neat and spotless. From our social worker, nurses, aides, OT, PT and doctors...every one of them was impressive. I have visited friends and family in nursing homes in the past, but I have never had to manage the experience for a loved one before. Will they be safe and cared for? Prior to discharge, our Assisted Living medical director needed to do an assessment of dad to make sure that he could be adequately taken care of at assisted living. She also gave excellent evaluations and review of SCPA following her visit. It was very assuring to have a trained eye validate what I was observing. Friends and family who visited dad also gave similar feedback. Should we have to go down this road again SCPA will be my choice, and my recommendation to anyone else who needs this level of care. read more

I presume this facility might be okay for long-term patients, say 3 or 4 months or longer. NOT for a several day stay for some R and R between hospital and home. In addition to being awakened to ask how i'm sleeping, my own experience included being discharged to home WITHOUT necessary home health follow-up for wound care and physical therapy. I didn't find out until the nurse didn't show up. When I called this SNF to find out why, they refused to take my calls, or even return them. For 5 days. So far. I had to find my own medical help. Where do I start.. Well Im going to focus on Physical Occupational and Speech Therapy.. They are assistants!! Not actual Therapist With that said.. Speech and Occupational Therapist seems like they not done with school yet!! Physical Therapy some were focused and some weren't.. The problem here is this isn't free!! I think everyone that works here does their best with the resources given. However the facility is old, dated and the rooms are just too small. If you can care for your aging parent at home, do it. They house 3 patients to a room. We were there one night with my father and pulled him out immediately. We did not want him to die there. Let me just say Kaiser Discharges are the worst!!! It's all about cost-savings and not the dignity and care of the patient and families. read more

Of course SNF are there to make money off of patients.. I understand.. the nurses the primary doctors, even the caregivers are caring and empathetic towards the patients... What I don't like about this SNF is the business accounting side as well as the social services in their their facility... they will always respond ASAP but when your loved one dies at their facility they will not followbor respond to you at all.. our social services was from Kaiser they they were empathetic...not the social services at south coast acute.. freaking bastards...I even ask what the last private bill I have to pay after my dad's death there and the stupid business accounting dept never responded read more

The staff doesn't speak English. I've had to translate on many occasions. Understaffed, one employee for 30 patients in the evenings. Patients ignored for long periods of time. Staff will speak Spanish to each other in front of all visitors, knowing visitors don't speak the language. read more

CNA's keep turning off nursing station call light off without checking patients needs

I was so scared for my father because he was taken out of a different facility that was horrible and this place has bad reviews but it was our only option and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. My dad was here for a week and the level of attention that he received was amazing! The doctor called me to update me, the social worker called every single day to update me on his progress and see if there were any questions. When we went to visit, the nurses were so kind and my father talked about how great it was the majority spoke Spanish. He also mentioned that the food was good and they would even ask if he wanted more or dessert! The physical therapist and doctor were very attentive in his recovery, even the activity coordinators were amazing! Everyone was so kind. Thank you south coast post acute! read more

How is this facility even accredited? OMG! For the brief time our family member was there they kept shoving documents in her face for signature when she was clearly exhibiting disturbing reactions from narcotics subscribed for pain. She was ousted to hospital emergency in the middle of the night for these same reactions to meds. Her only personal belongings returned were 2 pair of pajamas. No watch, no magnifier for low vision, no cell phone charger (which we obviously had to replace), and NONE of the paperwork she signed while in the facility. Scary, scary, did I say scary? Scary place! Unfortunately, reading these reviews, no one seeks out these hell holes. You just find your loved ones in them due to misfortune. Just awful! read more

My wife was there for four long months. During that time my wife suffered numerous indignities at their hands. In one incident I witnessed her wait for a diaper change for 2 hours. In another case they dropped her to the floor and then lied about it. She had bumps on her head yet they still denied any wrongdoing. I had to take her to the emergency room to rule out serious head trauma. This place is constantly noisy and unruly with three patients crammed into each room. Complaints to the medical board quality assurance will no doubt be made. This is the lowest common denominator of so called Medical Care. Also during that time they denied my wife basic physical therapy. When I referred to her degenerating condition they responded that this was typical for an older person. Not due to their neglect. Illustrating a bias against older people which is reprehensible. To cover up her tracks with respect to the head trauma my wife suffered, the head nurse said that my wife needed a psychological evaluation. This is so abusive and reprehensible! This is not to say all the workers there were bad. But the head nurse was abusing her power over my wife by lying and attempting to suggest that she needed a psychological evaluation. I repeat, do not allow your relatives or loved ones into this reprehensible place! They will suffer indignity and neglect and possible injury. Instead of trying to help patients who are having a problem, they have a don't bother me I'm busy attitude. Beware read more
