Dr. Lin and Dr. Park Over the summer of 2025, I was assaulted. Among the injuries I sustained, the most significant were skull base fractures and fractures of my orbit, which led the emergency doctors to diagnose me with traumatic optic neuropathy. After consultations with maxillofacial specialists and ophthalmologists, I was told I was legally blind, 20/230, and that this was now my life. Devastated, I reached out to Dr. Lin who was highly referred by a longtime family friend. She felt he and his team should see me and offer other opinions. While Western medicine may refer to Dr. Lin as a "physical therapist," I don't think that language fully defines what he does. At our first meeting, he was gentle, attentive, and deeply aware of my condition. His method is difficult for me to fully articulate, but it was unlike anything the physicians I had seen before had provided. Dr. Lin created a treatment plan in collaboration with his in-house acupuncturist, Dr. Park, and the two of them treated me in concert. I visited them about once a month. Dr. Park performed acupuncture targeting specific hemispheres they agreed would be beneficial, while Dr. Lin used manual techniques, pressing, pulling, and adjusting different parts of my face and body. One moment stands out clearly in my memory. As Dr. Park had acupuncture needles placed in the points she selected, Dr. Lin pressed a section of my face under my eye with significant pressure. The instant he released, my nasal passage cleared dramatically. I had been so focused on my vision that I ignored other parts of my body that also needed attention. This is what impressed me most: their understanding of the interconnectedness of the human body, and the way each system affects the next. Even though I came in focused on a single issue, they recognized that other problems could be developing or stagnating and that treating one area would likely set off a domino effect. They addressed everything collectively rather than isolating one symptom. Dr. Park also gave me homework: changes to my diet, foods to avoid, preferred cooking methods, and even the temperature of liquids I should consume. Detailed instructions that had never been offered nor had I considered. Western medicine had only offered me chemical treatments or surgeries to remove or implant. Dr. Lin was one of the few who was relieved I had not had a surgery and was not taking medication. In my most desperate moment, when the reality of vision loss was fresh and overwhelming, they helped keep hope alive. I am happy to say that I have since improved to 20/40 vision. Slowly, every day I feel a little better. I am not claiming that Dr. Park and Dr. Lin performed miracles. What I do believe is that the treatment they provided stimulated something meaningful in my recovery. Maybe I would have healed to this extent without them, maybe not. But I wholeheartedly feel that their treatment encouraged my body to heal itself. I am four months removed from the incident, I have my vision back and I feel great. I injured my leg about nine months ago and went through PT that produced limited walking and pain. I read about Dr. Lin and Dr. Huang and decided to give them a try. They exceeded my expectations. I ended up walking normally without pain and walking as much as I wanted and I could have walked even more than I did. Their work did not stop with walking. I casually mentioned to them that I did not have full range of motion in my shoulders because of adhesive capsulitis. Other PT groups, I told them, had said they had done all they could. When I mentioned this to Dr. Huang, with whom I was working at the time, she said she could do more. After sessions with her, she gave me a long pole to lift up and back, something I found impossible for years. This time I lifted my arms straight up and, as I lay on the bed, I held the pole all the way and flat on the bed above my head. I now stand straight, taller, and with more flexibility than ever. I have been fortunate to work with both Dr. Lin and Dr. Huang. They are kind and caring individuals and their office staff is a delight to work with. Dr. Lin's and Dr. Huang's methods are challenging. After my sessions with them that consisted of forty-five minutes of hell, however, I walked out of their office feeling as if I were 17 years old. Before my first session I intended to just give it a try one time to see how it went. I felt unbelievably better and did not stop coming back. Some people are surprised by their therapy session costs. I am surprised and gratified by their therapy session results. To walk as I walk now, to stand as I stand now, and - one other thing: I have been a type 1 diabetic for more than fifty years and my insulin needs after working with Dr. Lin and Dr. Huang have significantly decreased. How Dr. Lin was able to alleviate 10 years of unexplainable pain and help me get my life back. A little over 10 years ago I started to develop shoulder pain that shot from the base of my skull, down my arm, and down my lower back. The muscles in my arm and shoulder started to shut down as well. Then the worst happened, a few days before my 21st birthday, I had a tib/fibula fracture. I was casted to my knee. When the cast was removed, my leg felt like a stump. Calf, hamstring, quad, hip flexor, and just about every muscle in my leg just turned off and felt completely knotted. The best way to describe it was like a pirate who is walking around on a wooden leg stump, with very little control or motor movement. My upper/lower extremities started to deteriorate rapidly. Simple tasks such as sitting in a chair became unbearable, running (holding up my arm at a 90 degree angle), and simply laying in bed. The pain was out of this world, 14/10. Life was unbearable, my quality of life was 0/10. No more sports, going on long runs, hikes, dancing. The things I loved in life were robbed from me. Life was limited to a fixed environment. Life was about 'managing' rather than, what can I do. I've seen dozens of physical therapists, sports doctors, chiropractors, this test & that test. The list goes on. So much time & money was thrown down the drain. Two years ago I was at my breaking point, I was tunnel-visioned, the only thing I could think about daily was the pain. At this point walking became difficult. This is when I made the move to come to see Dr. Lin. I had to move, about four hours, but nothing else mattered. On day one, I asked Dr. Lin, can you help me? His response was, yes I can. I was pretty skeptical, given where I came from, but there was something about him that I trusted. Over a few months, I knew that this man was going to help me get back up on my feet, literally. The pain started to subside after the 1st few months. I remember just going to the ocean and staring at the waves, in aw, because the pain was fading. I started jogging again around months 6-7. Going on hikes at months 11-12. Sitting in a chair is the new norm for me, without any pain. I'm able to do normal daily tasks, without shooting pain in my arm, leg, and neck. 17 months later, I have almost complete stability in my lower and upper extremities This has allowed me to get back into working out, running, dancing, playing basketball, and just normal people things. Things that seemed impossible before are 100% doable. The pain is 0-1/10 daily. The best part, is it sticks, it's not a short term fix. Quality of life is a 10/10, I can now do things that I love. I no longer live in the past; rather, I'm able to focus on the present, future, and dwell in the past on rare occasions. The next question is, what am I capable of? Because I was consumed in this vicious cycle of pain and finding answers. Previously 95% of my cognitive load was dictated by the pain & trying to find stability while standing. What do I do with this extra 95% of my brain? I don't know is the honest answer, but it's given me a sense of 'capacity' to see, feel, and understand life at a deeper level. What's next are things I only dreamed of: a long term relationship, where I want to live, dancing, career, etc. I owe this man my life, he is one of the most brilliant, caring, and just amazing human beings I've ever met. Dr. Lin has been down this journey, which allowed me to stretch further, because he was able to relate and connect through the process. If you think you're alone, you aren't, especially at this place. Dr. Huang also works at Rehab & Revive, who I worked with alongside Dr. Lin. Dr. Huang helped me with other areas of the body, including lymphatic drainage, which had a huge impact on my recovery. Her presence and personality lights this place up as well. Ashlee and Syreeta at the front desk are amazing, they always have a smile on their face and give this 'home vibe presence'. They even gave me a pair of crocs. I have tried their Cold Plunge and had a positive experience with it. Despite the initial discomfort, I persevered and noticed improvements in mental clarity and overall energy. The first session is the toughest as the shock of the cold water can be a difficult sensation to get used to. However, subsequent sessions were easier exponentially. I'm guessing my body had adapted to the experience. Before I get in I use a breathing program like Wim Hof to prepare for the cold plunge. This helps me to calm my mind and regulate breathing, which makes it easier for me to endure the cold temperature. My primary reasons to try the plunge was to help with reducing inflammation after workouts. Also to compare a cold plunge to cryo, I feel the sensation of the cold plunge to be much colder and the shivering and being cold extends past the session. Where as cryo, eventhough it's 10 times colder, it's more tolerable and warm up quickly after the session. Overall, the plunge has been a positive addition to my health routine. I was really hesitant to try Dr. Lin at first, since they did not take my insurance. But after 8 years of knee pain and going to over 10 physical therapist, chiropractors and massage therapist with little to no results, I figured I should give it a shot. I was born with really weird hips that caused the rest of my lower extremity to develop wrong. While other physical therapists focused on my muscular imbalances and mobility caused by this issue, Dr. Lin was able to address my structural issues that made it impossible for me to move correctly. The difference is amazing, I could not even walk around the house or run across the street without pain. Now, I can lift fairly heavy weights and run without much issues. I still have to be careful and am definitely not as strong or fast as I used to be but he has given me hope that I can make a full recovery. Been feeling various lower back back for several months and I finally decided to go see a Physical Therapist. Not knowing much, I'm extremely glad I came across Rehab and Revive. I worked with Dr. Preston Nguyen and he was extremely informative and helpful throughout the whole process. He explained to me the cause of my issue and how my whole body is contributing to the problem. I started feeling immediate relief almost immediately and each session after only helped improved on it. I came to Dr. Lin in search for help with postpartum rehabilitation. Dr. Lin was my missing link between my OB and postpartum recovery. At my 6 week postpartum OB check up, I was given clearance to resume regular physical activities and the thumbs up to continue my regular exercise routines. I couldn't believe I was given clearance. I was still experiencing so much pelvic pain, especially along my c-section incision area, trouble getting in/out of bed, sitting/standing due to an incredibly weak core, my bladder was out of control and the list went on. There was no way I was ready to resume regular physical activities. My body was not ready for this, it just went through so much trauma from pregnancy and a c-section. I was suffering from pelvic adhesions, diastasis recti (separation of the abdominal muscles), pelvic pain, c-section incision pain, additionally other urinary issues. Certain exercises such as sit-ups, crunches, planks would make my diastasis recti much worse, which I could not afford on my road to postpartum recovery. Dr. Lin worked on my pelvic adhesions to relieve pain and discomfort, performed visceral manipulation to encourage the normal movement and function of my internal organs, and since I am now urinating normally again. He worked on my diastasis recti and taught me exercises that will help build up my abdominal muscles. Each week we worked on several different exercises to build up my core along with my pelvic floor. He also emailed me YouTube videos, so I can practice at home! It was like having your own personal physical therapist doctor at home. Fast forward 6 weeks later, I now feel confident that I can resume regular physical activities and my regular exercise routine pre-pregnancy. I cannot express how important it is to see Dr. Lin after giving birth! Although, Dr. Lin was not "in-network" with my insurance, I can assure you, he is the best physical therapist doctor you will find. All of my out of pocket expenses to help recover from childbirth is priceless. I'm amazed with Dr. Lin. Every now and then you come across a practitioner who is a true healer and who can truly impact the body and find the root cause of issues quickly. Dr. Lin is one such practitioner! As soon as I laid down and Dr. Lin started working on me, he found spots and issues that I hardly even knew about, and corrected them swiftly and efficiently. He even worked on my organs to make sure that everything was in the proper position. As we were talking, Dr. Lin shared with me that he loves to work on patients who have been everywhere else and tried everything else and are still in pain. I can see after him working on me just one time that he is the kind of practitioner who can pick up on things that most other practitioners do not. Dr. Justin Lin and his staff are so nice! Scheduling my appointment was super fast and easy, I was able to download the intake form and arrived ready to be treated. Dr. Lin's assessment is thorough and not what I expected. He was able to pin point and verify my concerns and issues I had been diagnosed with previously. For making me laugh and feel capable at a time in my life when I felt completely hopeless and desperate for anyone to understand what I was going through. Thank you for helping me return to a life that isn't defined only by fear, confusion and suffering... for helping me feel like a normal human being with attainable hopes and dreams again... and for giving me what feels like a second chance at living a better life. --- 3 months ago, my health started to deteriorate. It was a horrible and complicated downward spiral of health issues that occurred roughly in this order: stomach acid refluxing up to my throat, panic attacks, difficulty swallowing/throat tightness, inability to eat without throwing up or having severe upper abdominal pain (pain so bad that it often felt like I couldn't breathe)... several nights of insomnia, waking up drenched in sweat, feeling my heart palpitate even if I had just woken up... piercing lower back pain and the inability to fully relax the muscles around my abdomen, a constant buzzing sensation and twitching throughout my body... numbness/tingling...ringing in my ears...difficulty concentrating, standing, sitting... and struggling with feeling exhausted ALL the time. Every single test I did came out normal (thyroid, ulcer, gallbladder, micronutrients, blood sugar, x-rays, h. pylori, strep throat, etc.) The "diagnoses" from each doctor felt like an off-hand prescription to treat symptoms they didn't fully understand, rather than an attempt to heal the root cause. I was diagnosed with anxiety/gastritis/tachycardia/acid reflux/heartburn/allergies. I was told to take claritin, proton pump inhibitors, ativan...indefinitely...I had desperately tried multiple acupuncturists, chiropractors, supplements, painkillers, IV therapy, float therapy, meditation, among other things. Acupuncture helped to temporarily ease pain and a naturopathic doctor treated me for what he thought was SIBO so I could eat again, but nothing helped me get back fully to 100%. The mental/emotional challenge of not knowing what was happening to my body was often worse than the physical pain itself. Things got bad enough that the week before I had my first appointment at Rehab and Revive, my family was urging me to quit my job, put a hold on my career, and move back home until we could figure out what was wrong. That was the depth of pain and confusion I was in before coming here. And, as you can tell by me basically pouring my heart out into this review, the incredible thing is that through Dr. Lin's brilliant understanding of the body and his neuromechanical therapy methods, little by little my health and my life started to piece back together. I've just finished my 12th session and my health has made a complete 180. I didn't need to quit my job... I can walk, stand, eat, sleep, sit NORMALLY... No more crying out of desperation or going from doctor to doctor only to be met with disappointment and fear. I can go to work, go to the grocery store, enjoy time with my friends and family again... PT sessions have been the highlight of each week as I get to learn more and more about my body, its interconnectedness, and its capacity for healing. Even beyond my sessions at the clinic, I've benefited so much from the material that Dr. Lin shares online for his patients and really for anyone seeking help. There were times when I would watch his videos about the nervous system over and over again, or I would re-read lines from his book "Rehab the Mind, Revive the Body". I had built up so much fear around the mysteriousness of my condition, and all of Dr. Lin's work was basically like an anchor of hope and logic that would assure me that my suffering wasn't arbitrary. I found so much solace in knowing that if other people could experience something like this and come back from it stronger than before, then I could, too. I went in to visit along with my girlfriend whom was having the pain. I have done physical therapy in the past with good results so I was the one that pushed my girlfriend to come here (she recently saw a Dr, that mentioned surgery as an avenue that might alleviate her feet issues) based on the reviews. Dr. Lin was a very nice and personable physical therapist. He answered all our questions and made us feel comfortable with being there. As mentioned, my girlfriend had severe feet issues (due to a combination of wearing heals, bad posture, and exercising when her body was still hurting), that ended up needing several sessions, and as Dr. Lin has mentioned, it is something that she will have to keep an eye on, even after the sessions are over. Good news is though, that with the variety of exercises (home and appointment) , deep tissue massage, consulting, and tackling the root of her feet issues - my girlfriend has finally been able to take the plunge and run a half mile ... that may not seem like much, but considering she hasn't been able to run in 11 months, she was very very happy. read more

My Dad was able to snorkel with me. For the first time in over A YEAR, he wasn't in pain and had the mobility to actually get into the water. That's what Dr. Lin provided our family. Time with my Dad, doing something we loved. How awesome is that? (Well besides the fact my Dad lost his phone to the ocean, whoops, he was able to do every physical activity we did during the trip) I had been needling my Dad to get checked out, as his shoulder had been bothering him for quite a while. His mobility was limited, and if he moved a certain way, jolts of pain would spread a grimace across his face. Finally convinced him to see Dr. Lin. He came out of the first appointment in high spirits, talking about how he felt comfortable and was glad he finally went in to see someone. But this just wasn't any Physical Therapy center, this was help with a personal touch, almost like it was family helping out. You just cannot get that type of experience at any run of the mill therapy center. There were several follow up appointments, with various exercises, and even "homework" so he could continue with his therapy. All along the way R&R kept up with him and after a couple of months he was able to get back to within a normal range of motion, just in time for a family vacation. Five months later and he's still in great shape with his shoulder. And I'll definitely be letting anyone I know who is in pain to pay Rehab and Revive Physical Therapy a visit. You'll have a great experience and be able to heal. I cannot recommend them enough, and am happy to have my Dad in such a better state of health (both body and mind). I came to see Dr. Lin because of all of the reviews on Yelp. A little bit on my background. I have my Masters of Science in Human Biomechanics & Movement, so I have an understanding of the body. I am also a D1 college athlete. I specifically went in to have soft tissue work and manual manipulation done. Hands on treatment from Dr. Lin, which is what is most sought after. Dr. Lin doesn't accept insurance so it is all out of pocket. Not cheap. In my initial appointment, he spent most of the time talking to me about what was wrong and what needed to be done in follow up appointments. I got the feeling he was trying to overwhelm me with information so that I surrender and purchase packages. Based on what he had told me, I thought I was going to die the next day. He sells packages in appointments. I was told it would take "X" amount of visits in order to have my body corrected. It just so happens that X is the number of group packages he sells. So it doesn't matter if you get better in 2 sessions. He will tell you that you need a 3 pack etc.. So keep this in mind when going in. I also talked to another patient in his waiting room who also needed X visits in order to get better, which was also a package deal of his. I told him that I had scheduled this initial appointment to have manual work done, because that is what we had discussed over the phone prior to scheduling. So he did hands on work for the remainder of the session which was 10 minutes. I purchased follow up visits in order to get the full treatment. I was told several times about the appointment cancellation fees and was told to arrive early in order to respect everyone's time. I showed up for my appointments 15 minutes early. Each of the times in the waiting room, Dr. Lin kept on trying to sell me his personal book that he had written and is for sale on Amazon. I understand mentioning it once, but it's a real turn-off when you continue to force that on clients. I will buy your book if I want to, I can see the advertisements all over. For my follow up appointment, he had 2 interns in the room. And I don't have much appointment time to begin with and now he spent more than half of my session explaining things to these interns. Again, in this session I was being overwhelmed with information when all I needed was work done on my body. I feel as if he was trying to point out every little thing that was wrong with my body in order to win me over as a long term client and for me to purchase X more amount of sessions. All he needed to do was the work I went in to have, and he would have had my continued business. We ended this session with 10 minutes of muscle work at the end of the appointment. For my third session, Dr. Lin was 10 minutes late going into our appointment. 10 minutes is a big deal especially when I was told repeatedly to respect appointment time or I would have been charged a fee. Well, what if Dr. Lin is late and not respectful to my appointment time? Nothing happens, and the session goes on. It's a bit hypocritical. In this last session we continued to talk and talk about all the different problems but didn't spend much time on the problems at hand. This is our 3rd session. Things should have been rolling by now. I was being turned to his videos online, his book, and instructional spreadsheets that I was given. We even spent some of the session watching his video on youtube. I could do that on my own time. This is all great, but what about the work that needs to be done during the session? The sessions that I am paying for? After our last session, he told me to keep referring him to my friends and other athletes I knew. If I was taken care of during the sessions like I was promised, then this is something I would have done. Overall, I felt like this was more about making my business than helping me as a patient. Selling treatment packages on me or his own products. It is just an overwhelming amount of information for someone who doesn't know what is wrong with their body, so they will have no choice but to agree with what's being said. Dr. Lin was unaware of my background, and I always felt like I was being talked down to. After our last session I continued to receive generic follow up messages about how I was doing. In my total 3 sessions, I received 30 minutes of hands on treatment, which was highly disappointing. Dr. Lin is very nice, but the service was just not delivered on the same level, especially at the out of pocket price point. read more

Dr. Lin is a world class professional. As a competitive Spartan Racer, I need as many strong health professionals in my corner as possible. In one session with Dr. Lin I was able to see immediate improvement in my grip strength and left shoulder health. It was funny because in my first session before I even got to explain to him my issues, he was able to identify which shoulder was less than optimal by just watching me walk to his treatment room. It's important to me that I work with professionals that understand what I love to do with my body and find ways to make sure I can continue to do the things I love. Highly recommend! I fractured my wrist while snowboarding and wanted to get back into shape fast before the winter season ended. Dr. Lin is very knowledgeable and truly cares for his patients. Each session is an hour long and the recommended exercises to do at home do not require any special equipment. The office is clean and staff are warm-hearted. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Lin. He genuinely cares about his patients and their recovery. He has been helping my daughter with a knee injury she had sustained during soccer. Unable to stand or walk without extreme pain & dysfunction, I was in a very bad place when I came to Dr. Lin. Kaiser Physical Therapy had completely let me down & I had a very difficult injury to treat. I was beyond desperate. Dr. Lin is awesome! I came in with an issue in my hip/leg where I couldn't even walk regularly. I am now finally running again and I feel great!! Also, he was able to help other serious problems that I had which I did not even come in to see him for, which was an awesome surprise and why he definitely deserves the 5 stars. Terrible reschedule policy.... Night before in advance is not acceptable. Need at least 24 hrs. If you're 1 hr late, forget about it. Very difficult working with a owner that is a penny pincher. Need a Dr that cares about taking care of their patients and not trying to count pennies. He told us to go on Yelp and other social media outlets to give him reviews to remove the $80 charge for rescheduling. I have no problem paying for a no call no show, but I have an issue when I'm getting charged $80 for call the night before. Nice staff, though Dr Lin still has a lot to learn about treating his patients with respect. I told him it's easier to make up 1 appointment than losing 15 appointments including referrals. We have referred people here before, no longer will that happen. Our referral was not happy either. She will no longer go as well. It's important that people are aware before they choose their PT. There are many out there that are more customer service centric while running a profitable practice. read more

I thought carefully before updating my review, but I feel I wouldn't be true and fair to myself if I didn't. I work as an actress and model in LA and I have a very complicated schedule. Most of times I receive my schedule for the next day, only at the end of the day before. Sometimes I even receive calls from agent/bookers telling me I need to be at some audition or casting in a few hours. Of course, my job makes very difficult to plan my weeks. I told the staff of the clinic about it but I was advised to schedule my appointments in advance (I had a 15 sessions package) because Dr. Lin is very busy and if I didn't schedule for the next weeks, I wouldn't have a session. For those reasons the 24h clinic police for canceling or re-scheduling an appointment didn't work well for me. I agree in charging even the entire session if the patient did a "no call, no show" or when the patient arrives very late, which I did once because of LA traffic and I had only 10 min of session with Dr. Lin. No problem, I paid full session without a word. But I had to re-schedule and the first time, Dr. Lin told me he would not charge me the $80 fee if I give him a good review on Yelp (The previous one I had here). Also asked me to upload pictures on my personal accounts on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, which I did. He asked me to upload a picture every time I went for a session (2x/week), but I said it was too much. The second time I needed to re-schedule he charged me the $80 fee, even if I called 18 hours in advance. When I complained about the charge I was told 18 is not 24 hours and he would not have time to schedule another person. Also complained to me about the "15 sessions package" I purchased (The price of each sessions are cheaper because it's a package!!) and also because of me, he was losing money. Nonetheless, he decided to stop my treatment in the middle for personal reasons. To be clear, Dr. Lin is a good PT and I can still recommend him if you have an impeccable schedule, if you never complain about anything and if you don't mind using your social media for his clinic. But if you are a professional with complicated schedule, it can be very stressful and expensive. read more

A friend recommended Dr. Justin to me. I hurt my lower back about 7 years ago and never took the right steps to get it fixed. I love sports, and I just got tired of always having a messed up back. I decided enough was enough so I made an appointment. The initial consultation was easy, and Dr. Justin was confident he could help me get better. It has now been around 4 or 5 months of treatment, and I've come a long way. Physically, I feel better than I have in a while ie.drastically reduced nerve pain, strengthened core, and looser hips. From a knowledge standpoint, I feel empowered to overcome the tweaks and twinges that come from being active. Dr. Justin's approach of manual adjustments, targeted strengthening, stretching, and education really fits my needs. As long as you remember that physical therapy is a two-way street, I don't think you will be disappointed by Dr. Justin. He's not a miracle worker. Most of the work is done outside of the office in real life. If you take the knowledge you're given and work hard, you will feel better. If you just treat PT like the end-all, you're asking for a much longer healing process. If you want to get on the right track and stay there though, Dr. Justin can definitely help you. read more

We are lucky to have a health care professional like Dr. Justin Lin. He is a leader of his profession with multiple degrees and specialties. He is great to work with and he just knows how to make people feel good. Other health care providers (like sports medicine specialists, general practitioners, and osteopathic surgeons) that I went to were unable to remedy my old ankle injury. Even a normal day of walking would often make it swell and hurt. My ankle problems were limiting me from normal activity and I was almost ready to accept it as part of my life. But Justin turned it all around for me. Dr. Justin Lin insisted that I not give up, and he continued to work on me with a spirit that encouraged me. Our first sessions began with assessment, planning, and some soft tissue work. We progressed to more advanced manipulations (in which he specializes). Justin educated me about treatment, and equipped me with exercises for the ankle and tips for healthier living. I have had chronic back pain start for me at a very young age. My neck is crooked and tilted to the right side, and I have a network of knots & trigger points in my upper back. I have also suffered from chronic tension headaches and nerve issues. This has kept me from doing the things I love. Recently, I got in a car accident, which worsened my condition. I originally went to a chiropractor who ended up aggravating my injury and made everything worse; a complete waste of time and money. I was starting to feel hopeless, when a friend of mine told me about Dr. Lin and recommended that I give Rehab & Revive a try. I don't regret it one bit, best decision I have ever made! Even if it is on the pricey side, you are getting what you pay for. Rather than go to another therapist / chiropractor for countless sessions at a cheaper price, you don't need as many sessions with Dr. Lin because he gets straight to the point and helps you heal quickly. One aspect that really stands out to me is his holistic approach. Rather than treat one affected area, he looks at the human body and its functioning as a whole. You may have a problem in your neck and the source be somewhere else, like the alignment of your ribcage, for example. I had problems I was not even aware of before coming to Rehab & Revive. The beginning sessions are similar to troubleshooting, and as you progress, each issue is addressed one at a time and your body is able to work together as a whole again. Another approach I admire is being taught lifestyle changes in order to sustain a state of wellbeing. Sleeping, posture, and sitting positions (the most common positions we are in a majority of the time) are incredibly important, and will determine how our bodies grow and what they ultimately shape into. It's one thing to fix the problem, but in order to stay healthy, we have to carry these changes into our daily lives. I appreciate that Dr. Lin incorporates this into his practice. One more thing I have to say, is that you feel like an actual person when you are being treated by Dr. Lin. He remembers his patients and their personal lives, and he will make sure you feel comfortable during your visits. He is also great at communicating between treatments, and is very thorough in sending emails / making phone calls to check up on you and make sure you're doing okay or remind you of upcoming appointments. I have felt like a mere number at other clinics, while at Rehab & Revive I feel significant. Most importantly, I am noticing a REAL change in my physical health. No more chronic headaches. Significantly less back pain. And I have a range of mobility in my neck that I haven't had in years! I am only 6 sessions in out of 10 so far, and I already feel incredibly better than when I first walked in. I'm excited to see what happens from here. I have to admit I was very skeptical when reading the reviews - they were all just too good...could someone really be that effective ? Here's a little history - about 3 years ago I first got dx with Occipital neuralgia (pinched nerve in the back of my head) and SI joint dysfunction. So 2 different things going on and things just kept getting worse - it seemed issues were just compounding. Last year things got really bad with my back - I was completely out of commission for several months - after visiting 5 different PT's, 2 chiropractors, 2 acupuncturists, and 2 different Ortho's - a couple of months ago I finally decided to give Dr. Lin a try. I thought I'll just go in for a consultation - and then decide whether I want to go to him since his services weren't covered by my insurance. WELL after just 1 visit - I had an immediate response...I know it's hard to believe! After a lengthy consultation he determined that my intense head pain might be coming from my tailbone, who would have thought? But I had noticed that when I had been treated with myofascia release - it would get very tight down under :) Well I'm now at 10 treatments and I am about 90% better!!!!! I still can't believe that I have had this much success. Now hopeful that I will actually get 100% better, I'm determined to get back to my Pilates and eventually be able to live life to the fullest again. I am in deep gratitude to Dr. Lin - he is the very best out there - and I should know as I've tried almost everything. I write very few reviews but this was very important to me as my hopes are that it may help someone else that is suffering and searching for a true 'healer'. I developed a mild but persistent back pain sometime last year after an awkward fall while bouldering indoors. The first physical therapist I tried was pretty highly rated on yelp and, while very friendly, his sessions consisted of leaving me in a room with a heating pad for 15 minutes then "adjusting" (read: cracking) my back. This happened once a week for 4 weeks and it did all of nothing, so I stopped my visits with him and continued for a few more months with the pain before going to Dr. Lin. What I noticed with Dr. Lin is that his approach isn't necessarily to fix the pain immediately; he studies your body movement to figure out the fundamental source of the problem and works with you to strengthen or rebalance those parts. This means you receive a more sustainable solution (than getting, for example, your back cracked every time it feels off) and come out understanding your own body mechanics better. I never felt lost in physical therapy jargon because he constantly explained what he was doing and broke things down into layman's terms quite well. It's been a bit under a year since my last visit, the pain hasn't returned, and I'm still bouldering (and falling) regularly :) read more

I started seeing Dr. Lin after injuring my shoulder (again) recently. In the past, physical therapy has been effective at getting me back to 90%, but I've never felt as solid as before my injuries. The work with Dr. Lin can be unpleasant, since he's unwinding damage accumulated over a lifetime. He takes an assertive, manual approach to fixing the underlying issues, and doesn't rely on the "feel-good" ice & electro-stim approach that many therapists fall back on. I won't lie, it's going to be a little painful at times. Dr. Lin does his best to work within your limits, and rally cares about getting you fixed up. Outside the manual therapy, he emphasizes postural work and neurological training. I could tell a huge difference when I put in the time to do the exercises he gave me, and I still find many of them to be valuable. If you're like me, and push yourself a little to hard whenever you're at play, you owe it your body to visit Dr. Lin and give him a chance to get you back on the right track. read more

Dr. Lin is definitely an amazing therapist. He would never do some little trick to make you feel better but have to go back again and again to keep that feeling. He always tell the patients that "at least 70% effects depend on your effort". He does not only relieve your pain, but also tells you how to do exercise to prevent it. What's more, he tells you how to make yourself stronger and live in a healthy way. His whole theory about "connected systems in body" still influences me in my life. Also, he is a very nice person. He is very funny with endless jokes and smile. For the every time I took treatment, he always encourage and inspire me to keep working on my exercise and practice whether I finished the "assignment" he gave me or not. He's kind of guy that always makes you believe in yourself for recovering. Before I met him, my pain at lower back had lasted for 6 or 7 years. I had tried acupuncture, X-ray, massage even something voodoo. I have got tons of different diagnosis and analysis for the reason. for most of them I never believe. When I went to Dr. Lin with doubt, he gave me a new theory for my pain. But for the first time, I got the way to recover. Followed his instruction, I changed my posture, did exercise, changed my chair, changed my diet, even changed my car. Magically, I did started to get better for my pain! After about 2 months, I totally recovered from it! Until now, I never get suffered from it again. Dr. Lin is fantastic. His staff is very friendly. He is caring, well educated and probably the most professional and knowledgeable therapist I have ever met. Dr. Lin guided my dad to strengthen his weak muscles and problem area, exercises that improve his strength, balance and coordination too. He was spot-on with the therapy my dad needed and I was able to see improvement on my dad. My dad now walks better and has better balancing as well as his self-confidence. The work he does for people comes straight from his heart. I am not a frequent Yelp reviewer, but I had such a good experience at Rehab and Revive that I had to write a review. I suffered a car accident that caused a lingering lower-back problem, including slight spasms and a misaligned hip. With 5 sessions of therapy and a series of home exercises, I was able to prevent any future back spasms, strengthen my core muscles to secure my hip placement, and regain my confidence when engaging in physical activities. The best part of the rehabilitation process is that Dr. Lin is incredibly personable with his therapy style and very professional in the treatment procedure. He would also email me to ensure that I am completing my exercises, send me video clips for further education, and was very flexible with appointment (I live in Los Angeles and am usually not able to make a weekday appointment). After seeing Dr. Justin almost single-handedly change my wife's life by his treatment, I decided it was time to get myself in to help fix some nagging issues. Specifically, I had a minor (grade 2) tear in my shoulder and he was able to save it from needing surgery (among various other ailments accumulated over the years that he's been helping with). What some people don't know from reading Yelp etc. is that one area where Dr. J stands apart from other physical therapists is his understanding of all elements of our bodies and the importance of nerves, ligaments, everything working in unison for sustainable long-term health. I hear about friends' experiences with other physical therapists and think oh man, my experience with Dr. J is nothing like theirs. Dr. J gets 5 stars alone on his passion for helping his patients and his genuine interest in proper diagnosis and recommending the right fixes/solutions. While my journey with Dr. J only started this year, I've had enough sessions to know I won't turn to anyone else for physical therapy - he's set the bar too high for what to expect. You might be reading all these 5-star reviews thinking "Is this for real?". Well, the answer is yes, this is for real. I started seeing Dr. Lin because of low back pain I developed from crossfit. Treatment included massaging my bladder, realigning my tail bone, and eviscerating scar tissue in my feet, just to name a few. This was all really odd to me at first, but I can't argue with the results. I feel great! Dr. Lin treats the body as a whole unit and really tries to get at the root of the problem. He goes for the source rather than just the symptoms. I also really appreciate the fact that he's still taking classes. It's obvious that he's passionate about his field. In fact, he often geeks out while explaining certain treatment. "This is so cool! Isn't that awesome!?" Yes, Dr. Lin, it totally is awesome. read more

I recently started going to Dr. Lin and I have already seen an huge difference in the way I walk, the way I talk, and how I feel on a day to day basis. I had been in a car accident about 7 months before I met with Dr Lin and I had been struggling with stomach problems for my entire life. So my brother in law recommended that I go see Dr. Lin. The stories that my brother in law told me about his experience made me a little apprehensive but then I looked up his video's on youtube and I was amazed. I knew this was going to be something that could really help me. My entire left side of my body had been compressed deeply from my car accident and Dr. Lin knew right away there was something wrong on my left side the minute he saw me walk. He has been correcting my body to do the proper motions and to stay in the correct spot. I now have full motion in my left side. It is all still a work in progress but I can feel myself getting stronger and growing more healthy and stable again. Dr. Lin has also been helping me with my stomach problems. I have had stomach problems my entire life. I became lactose intolerant within the last 4 years and it has gotten worse ever since. After Dr. Lin Corrected my intestines and put them back in the right place I have been feeling 100 times better! I can eat with out feeling sick and I don't hardly ever have stomach issues any more. So far i have had 6 sessions and I have 4 more to go. Dr. Lin has been guiding me along the way step by step wether it's through one on one appointments with him or my own personal exercises he gives me for when I'm at home. He goes directly to the source of the problem and gives it an active effort to help the problem heal.
