This is probably my first review of a medical professional. Always thought health care came as a result of referrals, either from other practitioners or from friends and family but things have changed, I guess. Everything's on line in one way or another. So here you go, a review of my first dermatological visit to this practice. Be happy I spare you a discussion of my symptoms. Importantly, it was easy to make an appointment on the phone within a reasonable amount of time. New Patient Reception was flawless with all INSU having been verified in advance. Wait time short hardly giving time to open an IPhone. Initial prep smooth with normal first visit questions. Time spent with practitioners sufficient. Thorough exam was accomplished, procedures completed and I never felt rushed or in any way felt I was not being given personal attention. I did feel that sufficient attention was given to me and my needs. I have to say, the experience was actually enjoyable as the banter helped put me at ease as we were taking care of business, so to speak. I fully recommend the practice for its ease of access, it's professionalism and attention/concern for the patient. read more

This is for the Barrington location. I was here for the first time in August and I visited again just today. I decided to write about this above par clinic that others may know of this gem. I came to this clinic after deciding to leave the first dermatological clinic referred to me in December 2017, located in East Greenwich. Driving to this location from Warwick where I live, for a weekday, morning appointment was absolutely worth it. From the intake patient support specialist, Deb, to Alishia, the Assistant, to Nurse Practitioner Meighan herself, all were attentive and patient. Meighan always makes me feel like she really cares. She listens, is attentive, answers questions, and has such an open and engaging disposition, I feel so at ease talking to her and disclosing what I feel without fear of being dismissed. I have yet to feel rushed in both appointments. I have such a clear understanding of my condition after each visit. She also prescribes medication that is readily available. I had such a horrendous experience from my first dermatological clinic referral that this was such a pleasant contrast. I definitely recommend this clinic. I never mind the drive. Ever. read more

First time going to this practice, as well as first time going to a dermatologist. Every person I encountered was extremely friendly, from the front desk to the medical assistant to the nurse practitioner (Meighan). I was given a full body exam, which I was a little nervous about, but everyone was so professional and Meighan made me feel comfortable by engaging me in nice conversation. My experience at South Coast Dermatology has been wonderful! I had been looking for a dermatologist for a while. Calling I spoke to a friendly receptionist and I was given an appointment within a week. The rest of the staff is also great. Dr Blanco treated me for a number of issues dealing with my aging skin! I had a lesion on my top lip which was questionable. It made me anxious as I have fairly recent Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer history. I was most grateful when the person at South County Derm. was able to give me an appointment within a week with Meighan Dingle Blanco. Their Barrington office is very clean and clearly efficient and well organized. Everyone was so very nice and accommodating. Meighan's diagnostic knowledge, empathy, and immediacy in treating this lesion amazed me and left me feeling very confident in her hands. Doctor was very nice according to my daughter and prescribed a course of action but that's where the good ends. After going to the pharmacy 3 days in a row and being promised that they would call the prescription in each day we still don't have it. Called answering service 3 times each taking 5 minutes to even get a hold of someone. To the doctors at South County Dermatology, you're job does not end after you take my copay and the visit is over. You have an obligation to make sure the patient has been completely taken care of. A ridiculous display of no regard for the overall well being of your patients. Plenty of other dermatologist's around, go somewhere else. read more

I had basal cell cancer on my nose and ear removed about 4 years ago by a previous physician. Needed to have an annual follow up. Meighan provided a very thorough dermatological evaluation. I recently visited South County Dermatology and had a great experience. I always went to the EG office, but since Meighan Blanco moved to the Barrington location I followed her there because she's that awesome. The space is beautiful and clean- it definitely has a spa like feel. The receptionists and nursing assistants are all nice and welcoming. Meighan is funny, easygoing, and very knowledgeable.
