Brisket Totchos, Brisket Cheesesteak, and Potato Salad

Everything was delicious. My first time trying a Brisket Cheesesteak 1,000/10! Brisket totchos amazing combo of tots, Brisket and toppings. Wings and ribs were perfectly seasoned. The service was amazing, there was a misunderstanding on our order. And they were kind enough to bring us the correct order, then came back out and gave us the original order as well. Love the family friendly atmosphere games were available to keep everyone entertained.

Let me tell you something: I am picky about eating efficiently and CLEANLY. As in, I do not want my fingers wrecked halfway through a meal. This place delivered. The salad came in a deep Chipotle-style bowl, big enough that nothing spilled over even after I added the dressing, which came on the side without me having to ask. THANK YOU. The sandwich was huge, so I split it. The meat was already scooped and circled like a scoop of ice cream, which made halving it effortless. The bread held everything in place instead of shoving the filling out with every bite. Chicken was juicy. Mac was delicious. My fingers were CLEAN. My only regret is not getting the banana pudding 10 out of 5, and I cannot wait to come back.

Fried chicken biscuit was very good. Would definitely return for that again. Very juicy and seasoned well. Service is friendly and good ambiance. We got parking so it was nice but most ppl I saw were walking down the street from down the street

South End Smokehouse is located inside Chamblee Tap and Market. There's plenty of seating inside and it's obvious that this is a meet up, study, or remote work spot for the locals. Order is at the counter and quick and easy. They have a $15 lunch special which is sandwich of the day, a side, and a homemade cookie. The day I was there, the sandwich was turket. I ended up going for the brisket cheesesteak and a side of potato salad which was roughly $25 before tip. That said, the brisket cheesesteak was massive with consideration for the whole presentation. The bread was crunchy and soft and the melted provolone added a subtle flavor to the smoked meat. I do think I would have liked a bit more peppers and onions but it also may have distracted from tbe brisket so that's very much a personal preference thing. The potato salad popped - both visually and taste wise. Plenty of mustard and nice soft potatoes without being mushy and slimy. It was an excellent compliment. I also got the house sauce to go with the brisket. The cashier recommended doing their spicy sauce and in hindsight, I think she was right. They have four sauces and I'd want to be back to try the rest. All in all, this is a welcome addition to tbe Chamblee area. I definitely see this as a lunch spot for young professionals or an after work meet up when the bar is open. I plan to be back and explore other parts of the menu.

So I have been here a couple of time and it's pretty cool of a place. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's right across from the Chamblee Town Hall... So you can't miss it. This place is still in development as a whole but the smokehouse part in the building is perfectly fine and intact. You may not know it's there but once you walk through, you will see it. Coming in to the area you have free parking. It may not be right next door but there are plenty of parking areas that don't have to worry about paying so that is not a concern. There's a lot of outdoor seating, so you can walk out in and eat and drink or even if you want to go across the street as well. There are a few walkable areas that you can go to, so it'll be nice for a great evening out to grab some beers. Be outside. The service has been good every time I've went. Everybody it's been really cool they they talk very highly about the menu and the food and give you the suggestions on. You may want to try. You can sit out and have a seat in. They'll bring the food to you or you come get it, and they're really chatty and friendly during this process. Brisket cheesesteak - I initially went for brisket but is good. I wanted to give it a try so I tried the brisket cheese steak which is basically like a Philly cheesesteak. It has all the melted cheese and it has the hoagie roll and it has the peppers and onions on it, it's really good actually. It's so much that you can barely close the sandwich but that's not a bad problem to have LOL. They have a couple of different sauces you can try, but you probably won't need the sauces because it's already decently flavorful. And there's so much of it that you won't need anything else really. Probably after you finish eating it. Tater tots - they were tater tots LOL. Nothing more Collard greens - the collard greens didn't really have a lot of flavor to them. This was a bit much to be desired. They had meaning them so you know that they smoke meat and put it in the greens but they didn't have any flavor to them. So I probably would not get these again. Overall, this is a really good spot if you want to duck off a little bit and have a beer and some patio time. This area is still building so they're going to be a lot more things there so just keep that in mind but right now, this is probably the main event aside from the beer bar, to go to for this establishment.

Yummy BBQ here! I've been here around 3 times so I think that's good enough to give a final verdict. I've tried the sliced chicken BBQ sandwich and it is GOOD. The sweet & spicy sauce is even better. Do yourself a favor and add coleslaw to the sandwich. I love the tater tots, but the potato salad side wasn't my favorite. I brought two colleagues here and they tried the brisket and pork sandwiches and they both said this was some of the best BBQ that they'd ever had! Wow! Since this place is inside the "food hall", you order at the counter and then have a seat wherever you'd like and then they text you. I like the ambiance of the tap market and it's a great place to grab lunch with colleagues and then have a coffee afterwards! The only thing that I don't like is the parking, we ended up parking behind Chamblee City Hall which isn't bad, but just not as convenient. Needless to say, I'll be back.

Yes!!! Love South End. I am huge bbq fan and am so glad I discovered them. We visited the Chamblee Market and found out South End had their smokehouse inside. It's difficult to find great bbq these days because everyone thinks they have mastered it. I will say South End has... (in my opinion). We've been multiple times. We typically get the platter so we can try different things. All the proteins are great and the mac n cheese..... So good!!! It's in a great location if you like beer as well. On the other side of the market there are many choices on tap. You can find anything you'd prefer to wash your bbq down with.

Short version: Pulled pork sandwich, tots, cookie & drink = $14 (lunch special) Everything was hot/fresh, & packaged well for to-go. The grilled chicken salad was sold-out quickly! Longer version: I ordered pulled pork sandwich, fries, drink and they gave me a free cookie. Tots were h-o-t and fresh. Great portion of pork on a bun and wrapped in a foil type paper. Included all 4 sauces that were packaged perfectly as to not spill. Meat was expertly seasoned, moist but not so much it made the bun a sopping mess. Met the owner Clarissa and her husband. The cook is a little slow but I'm chalking it up to a lunch time crowd. The grilled chicken salad was ordered over and over to the point that they sold out by 12:15. We'll definitely return.

    My husband enjoying his brisket!!

When we arrived, I realized the location used to be the old Hong Kong Supermarket -- only longtime locals would probably remember that. The layout inside was pretty interesting. There was a Te'amos milk tea shop in the middle, Lao Szechuan on the right, and the hot pot & BBQ restaurant on the left. The staff greeted us warmly and quickly helped us get seated. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was that they offered freshly made milk teas and fruit teas instead of bottled drinks. The drinks were decent and refreshing, especially for balancing out the richness of the meal. Each person gets their own mini hot pot, which I really liked because everyone could customize their own soup base and ingredients. We chose a variety of broths including mushroom, spicy mala, tomato, and herbal soup. Using the iPad ordering system, we basically ordered one of everything from both the hot pot and BBQ menus. The food came out surprisingly fast, and they even used robots to deliver dishes to the table, which was smooth and efficient. For hot pot, my personal favorites were the fatty beef slices, lamb, beef tripe, black tripe, tofu skin rolls, squid flowers, enoki mushrooms, corn, lotus root slices, kelp knots, fish balls, and beef tendon balls. Everything tasted great with the broth and my favorite sesame dipping sauce. On the BBQ side, the standout items for me were the cumin lamb, beef tongue, chicken cartilage, short ribs, and squid. We weren't exactly BBQ experts, so some meats weren't cooked perfectly, but the flavor was still really enjoyable -- and the best part was that you could keep ordering as much as you wanted. Honestly, for around $40 per person, it felt like a very good value. My parents both thought it was worth the price. We left full and satisfied, and the service was always attentive whenever we needed something. Overall, it was a really enjoyable Mother's Day meal, and I'd definitely come back again with friends next time.

After a few visits, I've tried a good variety of the menu: * **Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich:** This is served open-face and uses a mix of Sichuan and Calabrian chili. It is absolutely amazing, but fair warning: it is *hot*. Even if you're used to Sichuan spice, this one may still be tough to deal with, but it's still incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. Just keep in mind that they don't adjust the heat level for this one. * **The Greens:** These are wonderful. They have a rich, savory pork flavor and are easily a must-order for me every single time. * **Shrimp and Grits:** This has a fantastic sauce that strikes the perfect balance--not too heavy, but not watery either. My only minor wish is that they'd add some andouille sausage to it (even if raised the price), but it's still a really well-executed dish. * **Southern Pho:** Really great and super hearty. It's a comforting bowl, though probably best enjoyed during the winter months. * **Drinks:** The cocktails are always creative and well-made, and they keep a really interesting beer list on hand too. ### 2. The Ambience The vibe here is great. The interior feels like a charming, cozy little house you'd find in Savannah. I especially love the bar area, which has these really cool copper chandelier lights that give the space a warm, inviting glow. ### 3. The Service The staff has been consistently friendly and welcoming every single time I've been here. The Summary I honestly feel lucky to live close to this place. It doesn't get much love or mentions from the Atlanta social media crowd and local press (the good news is you won't encounter a lot of annoying people lol).. I'm a fan though.

I was here because my brother wanted to celebrate Father's Day and chose this as his place of choice. Nothing says Happy Father's Day like southern BBQ! Lol! My mom and I had questions, the wonderful young lady was nice and patient with us. You order at the line/register and they call your name to pickup your order. I ordered the Judge's Sampler (Leg + Thigh, Smoked Turkey Breast, Brisket, Basket of Fried Okra, Macaroni and Cheese, with Texas Toast, and an order of the 3 sides platter for my little one and I to split since I wanted to try other sides. I ordered the green beans, hush puppies, and additional macaroni and cheese. I also ordered a banana pudding to go. My food was great! From start to finish! My brisket was soooooooo tender! What did the man say, tendernism, and that's what the brisket gave! So did the chicken and turkey! The leg and thigh was seasoned perfectly, and the smoked turkey breast slice wasn't dry at all! It was packed full of flavor and the right balance of tenderness and flavor. It all paired very well with the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce. I'm a fan of mustard based/yellow sauce so I could be bias. The mac and cheese was good, not OMG, I'm going to smack my mama good, but good enough to want more. The green beans were good, the fried okra was too; both could use a tad more seasoning or maybe some more love since I felt like they were missing something super small. The horseradish sauce that comes with the okra did take the okra to another level in relation to taste, so truly no complaints. I was disappointed in the hush puppies since I like sweeter hush puppies, and I asked the young lady at the register were they sweet and she said, "Yes, kind of." Nothing sweet about them; the taste wasn't bad and they were good, yet not the taste I wanted or expected. Nothing against them. I ate the banana pudding when we got home and it was good, yet almost too sweet! I messed around and looked at the caloric count and let me tell you, DON'T if you're counting calories and working on your weight lol! Not bad. 7/10. Everyone ate their food and my mom loved her ribs so much, she bought two individual ribs to go. Minus the high chairs being filthy, the place was clean, real southern and BBQ like decor and layout. Everything I expected for a BBQ place anywhere in the south lol Oh lastly, the price was unbelievably affordable! I spent a total of $35 for all this food WITH taxes! I will be going back! 8.5/10
