But then I looked at other comparable places around town: also locally-owned and homemade-focused. CPR is still way more expensive! $7.50 for a 12-ounce mocha PLUS $1.25 to sub oat milk. That's $8.75 for a small drink. The most I can find alternative milk costing per drink is $0.75 in town. No matter how good your food is or how much you've put into it, I cannot justify spending $8.75 for a 12 ounce treat more than once or twice a year. I'm sorry I can't visit more often. :(

Luckily it doesn't tend to matter to me since I don't drink coffee; I'm a chai or lemonade gal. Their chai was really good, and though I don't know for a fact it's not Oregon Chai brand, I'd be really surprised. The chai they have here is really subtle in flavor, whereas Oregon Chai is very very sweet. I was really pleased with this drink. The guy who took my order was super friendly and thanked me for stopping by. I usually don't buy pastries when stopping at a coffee trailer, but I'm glad I asked because they were really great. I hadn't heard of a lemon roll before but yummmmm. Definitely pick one up if they still have them when you stop by, and since they keep them in the fridge for freshness I'd definitely microwave them for 30 seconds or so (actually, warm them up even if you live it at room temp for a bit). The outdoor seating was so very comfortable with a unique sort of panache that I would love to have at my neighborhood coffeeshop. The raked gravel was a nice touch. But the drinks are their specialty. I just got my regular chai but they had quite a few drinks that were coffee-free, like their smoothies, som soda-like drinks, and their hot chocolate of course. They also have items for "little beans" so it's nice they've got something besides just a steamer for the littlest ones. My drink was fine; they just sue Oregon Chai liquid concentrate so not their own or a special blend, but it was good. I'd like to try something that's more unique to them next time.
