Came here for lunch and shared a couple of plates: Potato Leek Soup - Super flavorful yet still light Empanadas - Filling could use a bit more seasoning but overall was pretty tasty with the sauce Crab Cakes - Slightly underwhelming and didnt have much flavor

Lots of seating indoors. Plus a lovely patio.

Some friends introduced us to this restaurant. What a wonderful hidden gem in Wilmington. We actually all had the Quesadilla's, some had the shrimp others had the chicken. Very good. Service was excellent. Ambiance great.

What a phenomenal restaurant from the people to the food and the atmosphere. I highly recommend EVERYTHING about this place!!

We had the most lovely Easter brunch at this fabulous restaurant. Our server, Jordan, was fabulous and made our visit extra special! It is a charming place with hints of modern architectural appointments and it was uplifting and bright! Our food was delicious and so very filling! Try the Coconut Margarita for sure! We will be back! Adorable neighborhood!

Four of us had brunch today (6 July 2025). We had been here previously when it was a different restaurant. The bar is still there, which I really like. Open room with lots of high tops. There is outside seating too. The owner greeted us warmly and called me by name, as I made the brunch reservations. Our waitress, Jordan, was very nice and attentive. I had a delicious mimosa with pomegranate juice. There were about four other juice options. The menu had some very interesting choices. I selected the skillet, which had pulled pork, potatoes, green peppers, onions, Andouille and topped with arugula and a fried egg. It was a very nice portion; however, it was very salty, especially the potatoes. My husband had the steak and eggs, grilled Skirt Steak, fingerling potatoes, fried egg, and chimichurri sauce. Our friends had the farmer's market salad with strawberries; and the steak quesadilla. Everyone liked their food but they also mentioned being very salty. I would like to come back and try their Maryland crab cake sandwich (if there's no filler). We will have to remember to ask the chef to cut back on the salt; otherwise, this was a nice brunch.

This place has a great outdoor seating area. We loved the vibes. Came on a Sunday to celebrate a friend's birthday. Our server was great and had spot on recommendations. Everyone's food was good as well as their drinks. The crème brûlée and bread pudding are a must if you're splurging!

I had the pleasure of visiting South Front Tavern during a trip to Wilmington for my graduation, and it was an exceptional experience. The food was absolutely incredible, and both the ambiance and service were top-notch. Everything exceeded my expectations from start to finish. I only wish I didn't live two hours away--otherwise, I'd be there every week!

Presentations and food quality is incredible. The restaurant is clean and well laid out, but the best seat is at the kitchen bar. The open kitchen setting is the best. We were genuinely excited to dine here after hearing so many wonderful things about the restaurant…read moreand its James Beard-recognized chef. Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing. Our group of friends ordered our entire meal at once and had just received our appetizers when a staff member abruptly came to our table and, in a very rude and confrontational manner, told us to "be quiet" because we were being too loud. We understand that restaurants have to maintain a comfortable atmosphere for all guests, and if our volume had become an issue, a polite and discreet request would have been completely appropriate. Instead, we felt embarrassed and scolded. The interaction left us so uncomfortable that one member of our party immediately asked for the check and told them we would be leaving before our entrées were even served. Rather than apologizing, showing any empathy, or attempting to salvage the situation, the staff simply brought the bill, set it on the table, and walked away. What was most disappointing wasn't being asked to lower our voices--it was how we were treated afterward. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, even when an awkward situation arises. There was no apology, no acknowledgment that the interaction could have been handled better, and no effort whatsoever to make things right. Given the restaurant's reputation, we expected exceptional food paired with exceptional hospitality. Sadly, while we may never know how the main course would have been, the service ensured we won't be returning.

What a fantastic evening at Dram Yard…read more We were a little concerned we might miss our 5:30 reservation after getting delayed by a seven-car accident on the bridge, but we arrived just a couple of minutes late and it wasn't an issue at all. From the moment we arrived, the experience was relaxed, welcoming, and exactly what we needed. We chose to sit in the beautiful courtyard, and with temperatures in the 70s, sunshine overhead, and a gentle breeze, it couldn't have been a more perfect setting. The outdoor gazebo bar creates a wonderful atmosphere for enjoying a cocktail before dinner, and if the weather isn't cooperating, the indoor dining space is equally inviting. A special thank you to Sarah, whose service was outstanding. She was cheerful, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. The restaurant wasn't crowded, which made for a peaceful and unhurried dining experience. For drinks, I ordered the Ghost Town, while my wife enjoyed the Venus Flytrap. Both were beautifully prepared and easy to see why they're among the restaurant's popular cocktails. The food was equally impressive. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara, and it was exceptional. The kitchen even accommodated my request for extra freshly cracked black pepper, which took an already excellent dish to another level. My wife ordered the Little Gem Salad with shrimp, and it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We also shared the Tuna Tartare Tostada, which was outstanding--beautiful presentation, fresh tuna, and a great balance of textures and flavors. Adding to the experience was a bottle of Albariño that paired wonderfully with the meal. What stands out most about Dram Yard is its atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you can settle in, slow down, enjoy a handcrafted cocktail, and forget about the stresses of the day. Whether you're looking for a date night, an evening with friends, or simply a quiet place to relax, Dram Yard delivers. Excellent service, creative cocktails, outstanding food, and one of the most relaxing outdoor dining spaces in Wilmington. We'll definitely be back.

We each got a bowl of gazpacho, an appetizer size portion of two very small duck lumpia followed by tile fish with flat noodles and a savory broth. The course then was a shared short rib that was entirely fat/gross, one smal grilled onion and two tiny empanadas to share . Desert was a small scoop of ice cream and small crumble type cobbler to share. We in no way felt like it was $90, the portions were not enough to sustain us and we felt incredibly cheated and somehow conned/robbed of over $200 for each of us couples out. Very disappointing!
