We eat here decently often. The food is good, usually. This time my food was not even good and was under cooked. The waitress spoke to us 3 times total the entire time we were there. Be ready to wait over 4 hours to eat. Also - check in when you arrive. You are not a priority even if you are on the waitlist unless you check in. We found out after waiting all this time that we could have been sat faster if we were willing to go outside, but no one made that offer to us in the first place. I used to recommend this place to anyone coming down, unfortunately I don't think the hype is there to recommend it anymore. read more

While on vacation in Wrightsville Beach we needed a decent breakfast and I didn't really care if it was a chain or local place and turns out blueberries grill was a chain but it fit the bill perfectly. I love that there is plenty of room on the patio and all the doors are open even though it was quite warm there are fans everywhere to keep you cool. Our server was very sweet and Prada drinks almost immediately. The menu blueberries grill has a lot of you guessed it blueberries in it so we could not go without trying the blueberry compote put on a grilled blueberry muffin. It was fantastic. I'm pretty regular with my breakfast couple of eggs some breakfast potatoes which perfectly fit the bill. My daughter got the blueberry waffle with extra bacon and they do not skimp on the bacon at all. In between this our server checked on us several times making sure that our water was always full. My son got a standard ham and cheese omelette which he's not very adventurous but it seemed to be rather large portion much larger than my portion of scrambled eggs. My wife got the blueberry pancakes again with a little extra bacon it turns out we had way too much bacon if such a thing exists. It was nice to see that you can bring your dog to breakfast the dogs that were there were behaved didn't make a peep and didn't mind when they got tossed a piece of bacon! The drinks are really good, and the atmosphere is super cute and fun! However, the wait times are really long and have always been longer than what the online waitlist estimates. I'd say it's worth trying once for the experience, but probably not worth the wait to go regularly. We actually went back a second time to give it another chance, but unfortunately, my food came out completely refrigerator-cold. Our waiter was really nice about it and took it off the bill, which I appreciated. The wait was a little long but we also didn't realize you can add yourself to the waitlist on Yelp. The wait for 2 would usually be an hour+ (went on a Saturday at 9:30am lol), but with the yelp waitlist cut its down to like 25 minutes. Outside sitting wasn't bad at all, lots of fans and shade for circulation. The staff were attentive and very kind. We ordered blueberry Hushpuppies, Live and Give Skillet, and the Bananas foster and walnuts French toast. All of it was fantastic, I highly recommend going here. Absolutely Worth the Hype! We rolled up to Blueberry's Grill in Wilmington, NC, on a gorgeous Saturday with perfect weather--prime lunchtime on a busy weekend. I braced for a long wait, but the place is surprisingly spacious with plenty of indoor seating and a lovely outdoor area. We only waited about 25 minutes, which flew by, and soon we were settled in. Our server, Lauren, was an absolute gem--super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel welcoming and effortless. Right after we sat down, we ordered cappuccinos (perfectly made) and their famous signature blueberry hush puppies. They arrived lightning-fast, and wow--they lived up to every bit of the buzz! Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, served with butter and a delicious blueberry compote. Hands down one of the best starters we've had anywhere. The ambiance is spot-on: bustling and lively without being overwhelming or too noisy. The outdoor seating is shaded just right--not blasting in direct sun but still warm and pleasant for enjoying the beautiful day. The menu is extensive and everything sounded incredible, making it tough to choose! We went with the chicken and waffles, a smash burger with fries, and mahi tacos. Every single dish was outstanding. The chicken was tender and packed with flavor, the waffle was melt-in-your-mouth buttery perfection, and it came with its own little bottle of syrup--such a nice touch. Portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. The smash burger was juicy and satisfying, and the mahi tacos were fresh and flavorful. Blueberry's Grill has another location in Myrtle Beach, and since we're heading back to Charleston soon, we might have to swing by there too. My mom and I came here for a Sunday brunch and had a lovely experience. The venue itself was very charming, well decorated, and clean. The yelp waitlist and check in process was super easy. We only waited about 25 minutes even though the restaurant was very busy. I ordered a sweet potato pancake and my mom ordered blueberry pancakes and we had a side of eggs, bacon, and home fries. The home fries were crispy and well seasoned. The sweet potato pancake was good but a little less flavorful than I was hoping for. The blueberry pancakes were good but the blueberries were quite tart! Our waiter was friendly and checked on our table regularly. I'm giving 2 stars because our waitress was sweet, kind, and did her best. We were initially told the wait would be about 30 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 50. While that was disappointing, I understand that delays happen. The bigger issue was the fly infestation toward the back of the restaurant. The flies were practically covering the mirror behind our table (as shown in my photos). While we were waiting for our food, they mostly stayed on the mirror and seats, but as soon as the food arrived, they were constantly landing on it. I spent the entire meal swatting flies away from our plates, which made it very difficult to enjoy our food. As for the food itself, the blueberry hush puppies were amazing! Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was disappointing. I ordered the Biscuit Shack, and it was served on tough bread with a slice of cheese that was still cold, as if it had just been taken out of the refrigerator and placed on top. We ordered the veggies omelette, blueberry muffin, smoked salmon with eggs, a Benedict, and a blueberry waffle with berries. All delicious. This place is not the best for large parties, and the seating organization is highly unfair. Even after placing our names on the list for 30 minutes, we were told it would take an additional 40 minutes. We waited patiently and watched multiple walk-ins (parties of 4 and 5) get seated immediately, even though they were never checked in and weren't even on the waitlist. What makes it worse is that we explicitly told the staff we didn't mind being split into different tables to speed up the process, but they ignored this. One host was nice, but the female manager/lead host was not pleasant at all and completely unhelpful. We are from out of town and lost a lot of time here. I went here the other day to celebrate my birthday with my friends. They got the BLT with the potatoes and a custom omelette with potatoes. And I will say the potatoes were amazing. The table next to us got fries and they looked just as good. This was our first time going and the place was gorgeous. We started with mimosas, friends was an original mimosa, I got the strawberry mango which was superb!! I typically order eggs Benedict when I try a new breakfast place, but the monte Cristo was calling my name!! My friend got the blueberry muffin and eggs with bacon. The muffin was tremendous! Personally, I thought my whole experience was just OK. The rest of my party was very impressed though. I'd go three star. They'd probably go five stars so I'm splitting the middle. Firstly, we had to sign up early in the morning to get in line virtually. Our estimated seating time was 11:10. Granted it was Easter Sunday so we expected a little wiggle room but we were not seated until 12:45. We sat on the grass for over an hour and a half. I think there's probably something wrong with their reservation algorithms. The staff was fantastic! I mean really really attentive and friendly. They even took time to make sure our dogs had water and were given an excess of pets. For me, the highlight was the bloody Mary. I had the spicy and the spicy pickle bloody Mary's and they were amazing! I ordered the skillet with a side of corned beef hash. The skillet was very bland and I had to salt and pepper quite liberally. And the corned beef hash was all corned beef with just a couple little potato chunks hidden here and there. Mind you I love corned beef! But I like the hash part too. I did try a little bit of everybody else's food and I think maybe I ordered poorly but even their food was just good not great. That said, 100% I would come back! I think it was a really nice experience overall. If nothing else a Sunday brunch bloody Mary would put this place on repeat for me. read more

The entire experience was great. Upon arriving we notice a long line waiting outside the restaurant. The host was outside taking names and getting everyone in the list.
