It is so beautiful here, a sanctuary in the middle of the hustle and bustle of downtown Orlando. I walked around the lake, people watching, enjoying the foliage, the trees, the wildlife, so serene and tranquil. If I lived downtown, I would be here every day. I highly recommend taking a trip here and getting away from the city for a few minutes- you will be glad you did.

At night it is nicely lit with many colors and I believe every hour they have a music and fountain show. There is an amphitheatre, and there were musicians playing for the event. There are a lot of ducks and swans, which can dirty the place because of the feathers and poop. You used to be allowed to feed them food from a small stand, but due to health concerns, it's now banned. There is a playground, but it's for kids only. There are 2 bathrooms area, but it can get dirty occasionally. There are a couple restaurants to enjoy near the park too. A nice park to have a nice walk, job, and exercise. Overall: B

The Publix here is so amazing with a variety of cultural items and delicious baked goods. I love Baldwin perk for a cute friends themed brunch or quiet coffee and laptop morning after school drop off. The walks and bike ride trails are the best as I always feel safe no matter the time of day. There is a dog park as well for the pups located off lakemont and also a play ground for the kiddos. Blue jacket park is a hot area for local sport clubs and events like 5ks and wonderful for a quick hammock and book or field time. I would say picnic but there's way too many fire ants at blue jacket for that honey lol. But if you are looking to buy or rent a home in a beautiful community that you can ride golf carts or have things to do in walking or just want a nice place to go woosahhhh, this is it !

There's a brewery, a few nice restaurants, gators dockside, Five Guys, CVS, Publix and a Truist bank. Its own little community with plenty to do! It's nice to just walk around, or to grab a bite and shop. I usually come here for Publix, then go to Frosty Fox for a boba tea. They have some pretty nice events monthly, so keep an eye out for that!

However, it's only $10 now that I have my own life jacket (saving me additional cost of $5 to use one of theirs, as required). Well worth the low cost for some soul-enriching, communing with nature. I have never made a reservation. I normally arrive around 10:30, most recently on a Friday. Parked for free on Baptist Camp Rd. Just a bit of a walk from there with my inflated paddleboard, but I don't mind the extra exercise. You can unload your stuff closer, if preferable. There are port-a-potties available. You can count on there being a line in the check-in office. Various recreation supplies are available there for purchase. The process moves reasonably enough. A reservation will guarantee your entrance, however, and possibly aide quicker personal info collection. I always plan to do the Emerald Cut in roughly 3 hours round-trip, allowing myself several stops to enjoy the surroundings. You do run into (quite literally at times) novice paddlers along the way, which can be a bit tricky, yet not a real nuisance for me. In general, there's friendliness along the waterway. Slighty rowdy, party vibes in some spots, but also opportunities for solace and zen in various nooks. Encountering wildlife, fragrant elderberry, and other captivating flora along this stretch is always gratifying. It's a popular recreation destination for good reason.

A few things knock the stars down: - The amount of rules/ regulations is a downside. There are more than any other river we've visited in Florida. It's nerve wracking to make sure you're following every new rule. - Launching and landing at the dock is stressful. It feels rushed and disorganized. - The bathroom situation is DIRE. They have a few porta potties but they're pretty gross. - I've found some of the staff intimidating/ borderline rude. There are a lot of newbies to kayaking/ paddleboarding so patience is a virtue at busy times! It's a hard paddle up stream and coming back it can be easy to lose control around the corners. There are a few spots to be cautious of other paddlers. With that said, it's really stunning. They keep the area very clean and there are a lot of spots to pull off to the side to enjoy the view. I've never done a guided tour, but I've heard they're really well done!

We did the 9:00 PM night airboat tour at Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures, and honestly, it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We got there just before sunset, and it was absolutely beautiful. We watched the sun go down, spotted an owl sitting in a tree before we even got on the boat, and then headed out into the marsh after dark. Riding an airboat at night while the captain shines spotlights into the water looking for alligators is such a cool experience. It's a little spooky, a lot of fun, and a completely different side of Florida that you don't get to see at the parks. Our captain, Wayne, was awesome. You can tell he's been doing this for a long time because he knew so much about the wildlife and the area, but he also made the ride fun. The kids loved him, and we all learned a lot along the way. I also have to give a shoutout to Chris, the owner. He's genuinely a great guy who cares about the experience people have when they visit. You can tell he's putting a lot into the place, with a new barbecue restaurant coming soon and more things for families to do while they're waiting for their airboat ride. It's always nice to support a business that's continuing to invest in making the experience even better. If you're looking for something different to do in Central Florida, I would absolutely recommend this. It was a fun, unique experience and a great reminder that there's so much more to Florida than just the theme parks. Thanks again to Chris, Captain Wayne, and everyone at Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures for a fantastic evening. We had a great time!

We were a group of 7 people, and unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. We only saw one alligator swimming in the water during the entire tour. Instead of wildlife, the driver mostly showed us horses and cows from a farm across the resort, which was not what we came for. What made the experience worse was that the driver kept intentionally driving us into thick grass areas several times. He also stopped the boat in an area full of mosquitoes/gnats, and we kept getting bitten until we asked him to move immediately. Unfortunately, he repeated this more than once, which made the ride very uncomfortable. Overall, the experience was not worth the money for us. We would not return and would not recommend it.
