He came out to our home and determined that the best time to take the trees down would be when the ground was frozen. So a few months later that's exactly what he did. He cleaned up and removed all the wood. Then returned in spring to remove all the stumps. Brandyn is extremely knowledgeable and reliable. He does great work at a very competitive price. They filled up the exact same space people!!!! Holtz was trying to charge me for a full cord of "clean, dry, treated" wood when they were giving me half that which was dirty, wet, and molded. NOTICE - I left my review.....then shortly after there are 2 more five star reviews that address the exact trouble we had with them...sounds pretty SCAMY if you ask me. But who am I? Just a sucker who almost fell for it. The new company is wonderful - message me for the contact!!! We ordered a cord of firewood from Holtz. He was prompt in responding to me and seemed friendly. I called on a Friday and he said he could have someone there to drop off and stack the wood on Monday. I also asked that he take a look at a tree in my front yard that needed to be trimmed. He called Sunday and left a message saying the delivery would take place between 8a-10a and he would take a look at the tree. The delivery drive was about 15mins last 10a, but that was no big problem because I am a SAHM. However if I had taken the morning off work to be home, even 15 mins late could be a big problem. The full cord cost $250. According to their website and from speaking with them in the phone, the wood would be a mix of "clean, dry, treated hardwoods." However instead, we got wood that was wet - damp to the touch and releasing water from ends in the fireplace - extremely dirty, growing mushrooms....I have included pictures and video. I called them to speak to someone and the man went from being friendly to extremely rude in about 2sec flat. I hung up on him because I wasn't going to listen to him try to defend his crappy product. He called me back and left a message saying he had no idea how I could have gotten that type of wood because they don't sell anything but what their website states. Sent him the same pics and videos I'm posting here. He had nothing to say except "I've done this a lot of years and I don't sell that kind of wood".......except he did. I had him come back and take his crappy product away and give me money back. I'll let you all be the judge from my pics.....but my advice - SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!!!
