Here's what I've experienced at this practice and why I recommend it so wholeheartedly: - I first came to Dr. Holder's practice in 2023, wanting to try botox for the first time. It was a new experience, and Dr. Holder listened carefully to understand my expectations and then patiently talked me through everything that I should expect. The way she directs her team before, during, and after procedures instills so much confidence, especially for first time patients. - At the beginning of this year, hormones were wreaking havoc on my skin and giving me with terrible acne and rosacea. Fed up, I sent Dr. Holder's office an email, and they agreed to see me right away. They were so responsive and reassuring. Also, I really appreciate that Dr. Holder doesn't try to sell a custom line of products -- she just thoughtfully directs you to a routine using good old fashioned French pharmacy products and prescriptions when needed. - I've seen Dr. Holder for peels and laser treatments, and I'm just so grateful for how thorough and detail-oriented she is in each of these procedures. I was told they didn't know because there is still 5 (!!) people in front of me. I asked them what was the purpose of making an appointment if it's first come first serve. Not having a better answer, the receptionist said - 'you know you always have to wait at doctors' office. Yes. I know that. I do expect to wait 10-20 minutes. But not hours at time. That is WHY we make an appointment weeks in advance. So i left without being seen by the doctor! Other than those 5 patients inside, there were 4 more patients standing in line outside. People arrange their days around appointments. I feel like their poor time management is extremely insensible towards their patients' time and needs.

As I am writing this, I am on the phone dealing with harassing bills the Derm Specilsists keep sending me . Between my copay and the insurance coverage, we have paid them over $500. And they still want more for services with misidentified providers. Over $230 bill more for a negative from the lab and a trial tube of Tretonoin. Do not use them for your medical needs. Go to a proper doctor at a hospital. I made the mistake of thinking this minor issue could be dealt with locally and at a new place with ease. What a dupe.

I was injected by a Miss Carissa in the Chinatown location, but she also works in the Brooklyn location. No fillers can be expensive and they can be scary and you have to make sure you don't just do anything with just anyone, but yet I trusted her ... after the first two syringes. I came back two weeks later to finish it off, but I was highly disappointed, cause it seemed as though the use of the filler should have been strategically placed sparingly and conservatively in the target areas but they were not ...I kept saying that I don't want to look like an average Beauty standard Kim Kardashian and I also said I don't want to look younger. I just showed her pictures of my natural self And pointed to the places that needed to be supported !!! the first time she suggested a lip flip and a lift in the corners of my mouth, and possibly in the sides of my cheek, where they're hollowed. This is my first complaint after wasting the syringes on places that I never intended to do and I'm highly offended when people don't listen to the things that I want or I'm willing to pay for ...After the end of the second visit I called up the manager Winnie I said that I believe that the injector must have some type of learning disability either she's forgetful or she has a learning disability because every time I would consult with her at length maybe we would talk for 20 minutes before she would inject me. I would point to the areas around my lip And I would close my eyes and let her inject because I don't like needles. They gave me $100 discount for my troubles even though it took me $100 cab ride to get to Brooklyn And I begged Winnie to do it herself since she promised that she would compensate for the deficiencies that I had again I'm not the most beautiful person in the world, but it's very simple to inject the places that I marked with a little white pen and that the injector agreed so either she's a liar or she's just really forgetful so after this third and final visit in Brooklyn with Carissa, she marked my face, promised me she'd do it and again I got numb and closed my eyes. There is still empty spaces where where Filler should be in my top the most obvious of the places that I would want it when I said Support around my lip With the two syringes well I asked for my money back in full, and I told the company that I would report them to the board of Health or whoever is in charge of this Medical company that they run the person in charge Michael would not return my calls, but they just insisted on telling me this times that I am Swollen And I guarantee you that I'm not there is Filler in certain spots of my face around my lip, and then some not I wanted to ask Carissa why did you selectively choose to jump over my Cupid bow and go to the other part of my lip without continuing to go all across my lip I wanted to ask her that, but I am really convinced that she has some kind of Learning disability and I really don't think that anything would be solved by going back to that aesthetician or even working with their management, but I guarantee you I will try my best to pursue getting my money back cause I spent a lot of money down the drain so disappointed. Not to mention that Carissa never took accountability for anything every time she injected me and it was over. She never once said oh you look good or even said goodbye. Every time I spoke to a receptionist, they'd say they'd resent the prescription order and that someone from the office would be in touch the following. That continued day in, day out for a week, only for the seventh receptionist to tell me that I had to book an in-person appointment to resolve the matter. So, I once again wasted the better part of two hours waiting to be seen by a PA (you'll likely never see an actual doctor), who once again prescribed the medication, only this time to have my insurance deny it because they thought it had already been fulfilled because the PA forgot to include any notes with the prescription. So, I had to pay out of pocket for something I should have already had, as well as an copay to boot.
