I didn't take a picture because I couldn't wait to take a bite! We have eaten here before, but don't live locally so we always make a special trip when we are in town. These are, hands down, the very best cheesesteaks in existence outside of Philly! We order online and it's always ready exactly when promised and with the customizations completely accurate. The employees are so nice and helpful and the restaurant is always so clean. The menu is extensive, but we have only had the cheesesteak, the egg roll sampler, and fries. Some friends told us about this place and so we decided to go check it out because who doesn't want a good cheesesteak? We arrived on a Thursday night around 6:30 and there was nobody in the location. Which is actually quite sad as the food is really good. It is a small business locally owned and operated and they are training new employees so if you do check it out be patient as they're all still learning. You'll see from the menu that they have a bunch of different offering, but we opted to stay with the classic - a Philly cheesesteak with provolone cheese and sautéed onions. We decided to get ours to go, but they do have tables in there that you can sit at. It is a small location so I don't recommend it for groups but if it's you and maybe up to four people shouldn't be a problem. We got the combo so your sandwich comes with fries and a drink. Drinks are pretty standard Coca-Cola products. Have to admit the fries are pretty tasty. They have good seasoning. They also have Cajun fries which we definitely would try the next time we go. Cheesesteaks were very good. We both got 12 inches and they come with a decent amount of meat in it. It would've been nice if there was a little bit more cheese on it but overall, we really enjoyed the sandwich. The only downside to this location is that it is a shared parking lot with Bella Italia so parking can be somewhat of a challenge. But if you're just going for a pick up even if you have to park at the very back of the lot to walk over it's a short walk and well worth it. :) read more

Prices are a bit high for what you get and I ordered mine with garlic aioli and Cooper cheddar cheese, but I don't think it had any cheese on it. They could definitely give more fries with an order. Overall, not too impressed, which is sad because I wanted to like it. read more

Visited south philly steaks newest location and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and helped with the menu. Created our own cheesesteaks and they were phenomenal! Also like how there are different seasoning options for the fries like Cajun and old bay. Only downside was that it was very hot inside, but hopefully they work on changing that. Heard about this new cheesesteak place and decided to give it a try. So glad I did. It was great. They bring the buns down from Philly and it's worth it. The whole sandwich was terrific. The steak was juicy and flavorful. The buns are soft. You pick all your ingredients so you can get exactly what you want. Found this place on a whim when looking for lunch options. They offer a lunch special daily that includes half a cheesesteak, a drink and fries for $11. Loved the customization options when ordering online, not sure I've seen so many options on an online platform. Service when arriving to pick up my to-go order was pleasant and quick. There's about 5 or 6 tables inside the restaurant, with a massive tv menu to see options to order when looking at options. Small location, nice employees... Disappointed in the quality of the food. I ordered a steak and cheese with mushrooms. I received a steak and cheese with extra onions, which I cannot eat. They did make a replacement in two minutes. My husband had a chicken Philly with onions. Neither one of the hot Philly's had toasted bread. The meat was no different than what I could have made at home. It was our first time and unfortunately we will not be returning. Heard about this spot from my coordinator. She couldn't rave about it enough! She had gone during their soft opening. I finally got around to visiting and she was right! I preordered online and the process was quick and easy. The aroma of the food cooking just hits you in the face when you walk in. Smelled so good! I'm not sure if he was the owner but he was so friendly and welcoming. I ordered the cheesesteak and the chicken parm sandwich and they were so delicious! The cheesesteak was filled with so much meat! They were so generous with the portions! I had a fairly decent drive home and the sandwiches held up well. I will definitely dine there next time. New Philly Cheesesteak joint where the Pizza Parlor used to be between Bella Italia and the Peach Cobbler Factory. Steady line of customers on a Friday night. Was able to go in and order with a short wait. Ordered three half sub length steak sandwiches. Meat was tasty, tender and juicy. They use Amoroso rolls which did not get soggy and ensure a real Philly taste. One order was a steak hoagie (lettuce, tomato and mayo), another was a Philly Cheesesteak hoagie (onions and provolone) and third was a straight Philly Cheesesteak. We all enjoyed the steaks. Fries were good and wings pretty good, but go there for the Cheesesteaks. You will not be disappointed. Staff are very friendly and will answer any questions you have about the sauces. Very accommodating as I forgot to add mayo to my Philly Cheesesteak hoagie order and they quickly made it happen without any attitude. Coming from up North I hear a lot of restaurants wanting to bring north flavors to Florida. Most time I'm greatly disappointed, but here at South Philly Steaks I was very impressed with the flavors. I never write a review on restaurants I eat at for the first time. I need multiple visits to determine if it deserves a review. I look for taste, consistency and the professionalism of the owner. This restaurant is always clean and well presented for a family time out.This is probably my 8th time here and they don't disappoint.
