Great hotdog and great service, great little place in downtown Wintergarden, if you can find a parking spot

I went here twice because I wanted to give it a fair chance before leaving a review. The first time, they were out of the first few things I wanted, but I understood since I showed up about an hour before closing. What disappointed me more was that my hot dog didn't match the menu at all. Some toppings were missing while completely different ones were added instead. The second visit honestly wasn't much better. I tried the mac and cheese dog and both the mac and the hot dog were really dry. I actually like the vibe and location of this place, which makes this more disappointing to write. I'm hoping I just got unlucky twice because I do want to give them another shot in the future. read more

Came on a weeknight and were the only people eating there. I ordered a pretty weird combo dog because I panicked from all the options! My brother in law got a chili cheese dog that he said was very delicious. The banana peppers and caramelized onions on mine were great, but the croutons were chopped pieces of garlic bread that were chewy and soft... which was off putting since croutons are supposed to be crunchy. I'd like to try it again with a non-weird combination. It is nice that they have a freestyle machine available and the tables seemed pretty clean. read more

I went here while walking around "downtown" Winter Garden. I was hungry for a hot dog. Their space is deep but very narrow. There are a few inside tables. Customers order at the counter where the food is prepared. Although they have a generous selection of various types of hot dogs and toppings,I just had a Classic Dog. I enjoyed the hot dog and plan to return to try one of their more interesting hot dog plates. read more

I didn't know what to pick so I picked their special sauce which tasted like mayonnaise with ketchup in it. It was good, but I preferred the fries with ketchup. I highly recommend their fries. Great hot dog and fries! Was nice to see they put the hotdog on a grill and it wasn't just boiled. I asked them to keep mine on the grill a bit longer because I like a burnt dog and they did. The fries are fresh cut and put in the fryer when you order so they are super fresh. I also liked the different bun options and all the condiments and sauces they offer. Place is super clean and well organized too. They have an $11 lunch meal for a hot dog with up to 3 toppings, fries and a drink. Highly recommended if you are in downtown Winter Garden. read more

SOOOO glad I happened to see this place and decided to stop by! It's on the cutest little street with all kinds of shops and restaurants around and though the inside is a little small and cramped, it is worth the squeeze! This is the first hot dog place I've had in florida that actually makes hot dogs the right way, ON A GRILL! The general manager who served me was so awesome and really made me feel welcome. I can't remember his name but i hope he is there every time. I do wish they had dill relish instead of sweet but at least they have dill pickle spears that are tasty! They also make their own hand cut fries in store and they have the coca cola freestyle machine. I mean, this is HOT DOG HEAVEN! I stopped in on a Sunday around 3:00 with my family at Harrells. It was empty except for one employee and what looked like the manager/owner. The manager promptly went into the back and left the young kid by himself. If I had to guess this young kid was in training since he had very little idea on how to ring things in, make them, or even knowledge of the menu items. Now, I believe everyone is entitled to have a first day but to leave this young man, who clearly wasn't trained well alone, was not the move. The food was okay. I would compare the food to Coney Island hot dogs with 5 guys fries. Nothing I would be willing to come back for. In addition to all of this when we went to sit down every 4 top was sticky (again not a single other person in the place) and there were no forks out. read more

4 Stars for a great hotdog with tons of topping options as well as a vegan dog. I had walked by Harrell's several times while visiting the Winter Garden Farmers Market and finally stopped for a dog. You'll start on one side of the counter and pick your bread, protein, and toppings along the way. I was stoked to see they had options for my vegetarian partner, but I went with the tried and true classic hotdog. I had them add some sauteed onions and peppers and ketchup. The service was fine, but the guy putting my dog together wanted nothing to do with me in terms of advice, lol. I asked if ketchup was the best option with those toppings and he shrugged. Oh well- it turned out to be just right! The only bummer was that the hand-cut fries were a soggy mess. We got the truffle fries and they were so soggy that we didn't eat more than a few before tossing it. From photos I see on Yelp, it looks like this was a fluke, so I wish I had just let them know because I imagine they would've replaced them. Great prices! The inside smells a little bit and I know the building is old. It's ventilated at least. The WAY they cook the buns and the hot dogs on the grill are great. I like the crispness and options. Very affordable! Under $6 for a dog. I ordered the brioche bun but it seemed like a regular bun. It got a little bit soggy. Otherwise, can't beat it! Maybe they could add some more topping options, like fresh jalepenos and sour cream! read more

I love this place. We bring friends and family from out of town here often. Options for all . I love their fries!! Although sometimes over seasoned but just ask for less and they'll take care of you. Love the variety of toppings too. We bring our dogs down to WG often and we even order them the 2 piece grilled chicken as a treat:) limited seating inside and a couple bar height tables out front for people watching. Love this place. I've been coming here for years and it's so much cleaner and well taken care of now with all female staff! Chandler and Tyler were amazing. My favorite is the brioche bun with the all beef dog. I keep it classic with just Ketchup, mayo and onions. Even with the basics they nail it every time ! Absolutely terrible service. I don't expect too much from a walk up window in terms of service but when you order a drink, hotdog, and fries, and there is no ice in the ice machine for our drink, no ketchup for the fries, and no napkins; that inadequacy is worth noting. We told the staff and they just kept working and completely ignored us while we stood there waiting for someone to refill the items that were out. I suppose they were just waiting for us to leave. Popped in to Harrell's to grab a quick bite before meeting up with some friends in Downtown Winter Garden for a bit to eat. It's a small place, and the ordering area is definitely cramped. I don't have a solution for the problem, but it is definitely not enough space for people to be able to leave easily of there is a line to order. Not the end of the world though, just worth noting. The service was excellent. The ladies were kind and smiling. I apparently ordered something that must not be ordered often, because everything wasn't easily accessible and they had to get the blue cheese from the back. It maybe took 10 minutes to make my food and they kept apologizing for the wait. The food. The fries were excellent. You get a massive portion for the price (my whole meal was $13 with tip) and they are seasoned nicely. Fresh cut, fried to order, yum. The Buff Chick Dog was also really good. The breading on the chicken was crispy and flavorful, the buffalo blue sauce had a great flavor. The bun is the star of the show though. Don't skimp, get the brioche. Visited with five others. We ordered a variety of dogs and we all enjoyed the taste and freshness of the ingredients. The staff were friendly and professional and we even joked around a little bit, absolutely no complaints there. The set price was a bit high for hot dogs and their computer software is one set up to ask for tips when you are not being waited on. I don't care for these systems. Afterward we ate the ice cream for dessert. I had vanilla and the taste was "okay" at best but most of the rest of my group expressed not liking the taste at all. They did not finish theirs. Overall, if you don't mind paying extra for a low cost food item, or being asked to tip when you aren't being waited on, then over and try them out. Upon arrival I was super excited to see they had vegan options so I took complete advantage of being able to eat a yummy hotdog with amazing toppings. I was able to pair it with delish home cut fries. I had my hotdog with onions, sauerkraut, relish and mustard. The toppings there were never ending so there's something for everyone. As you walk in, you place the order and it is put together as you order. Beef hot dogs come with 3 toppings and a sauce, which it is not bad for $4. Nestled between some shops on Plant Street in Downtown Winter Garden is Harrell's. My husband is a fan of chili cheese dogs, so we decided to stop by. There are a couple of different bun options - classic, brioche and poppy (the latter two are a .50 upcharge). If you don't want a bun, you can turn it into a sandwich on a bed of spinach or arugula. When it comes to the dogs, there are all beef, vegan, or brats along with grilled tenders and fried nuggets. Toppings include your run of the mill along with some interesting additions like pineapple, blue cheese crumbles, and fire cheetos to name a few. There is also cheese sauce, chili, mac n cheese, and bacon. Then, you can finish things off with a sauce like truffle aioli, sweet heat, or mango habanero mayo to name a few. We opted for a chili cheese dog on a poppy seed bun with red onion and cheese. The bun was so soft and pillowy. The all beef hot dog was boiled and then finished off on the grill, so it had a great flavor plus a little pop. We heard good things about the mac n cheese so we'll be trying that next time along with some ice cream. There are a couple of tables with chairs right outside of the stand. If you can snag one, it makes for a great people watching spot on the weekends. read more

Not the best Hot Dog ever, but more than adequate . They will add just about any "fixings" you want to their dogs. Their house special mustard is the best. Their Brat is only so so. Not a real German Brat! The place is handy, and you order in the street side window, and eat at a bar top table on the street. Nice! Soft serve ice cream is also window side. Great for the kids. I keep hoping the sidewalk window will offer Cuban Coffee! read more

Excited to find out this place has vegetarian hot dogs and sadly I was disappointed overall but the service was great so hence the higher rating. I read reviews that they had Field Roast vegetarian hot dogs and that's a brand that I enjoy consuming. However when I first got my hotdog it tasted meaty and not like Field Roast. I was assured that it was vegetarian and that they had changed their brand form before. The toppings and sauces are great-I had the truffle aioli which was good. I asked for cheese sauce and the hot dog became very soggy fast that I wasn't able to even grasp the hot dog. They were kind enough to remake it for me without the cheese sauce. If they were to bring back field roast or homemade vegetarian hot dogs that are different then their current ones I would be back but doesn't seem like it for now. After eating a plain Beef Dog, my son declared it the best hot dog he'd ever had. I would agree 100%, save for the fact that I technically got chicken -- namely, the Buffalo Chicken. It was fantastic. Nice amount of heat. Good balance, with the right amount of blue cheese. The vibe inside is pretty cool, too. It's hipster, but not unapproachably hipster. Staff was friendly. I came to Harrell's in need of a snack during the Winter Garden Christmas Market. It's a quaint little spot in the middle of plant street. They have an outdoor counter to order from as well as an indoor area. I decided to go with the Build your own beef hot dog. You are able to select up to 3 toppings and a sauce. I went with the relish, grilled peppers and ketchup/mustard. The hot dog was juicy and full of flavor. It definitely hit the spot! I also had to get a side of Mac! Mac and Cheese is one of my favorite foods and I thoroughly enjoyed their mac and cheese. It was so cheesy and creamy and its made with fresh cubes of cheese. The only downside was that the sides were very small, so I decided to go with the large which was pretty pricey (and still pretty small). Harrell's was the perfect little spot to get a quick meal. All of the employees were very friendly. I definitely will be going back if I am in the Winter Garden area! read more

They have all-beef hotdogs, brats, vegan with a choice of classic, brioche, or poppy seed bun, an assortment of accompanying toppings and sauces, "the usual suspects" like sauerkraut, cheese, relish (make your own) and classic hotdogs like Chicago style, chili. & cheese... Order French fries, coleslaw, Mac & cheese, grilled tenders, nuggets, or a "Chicken Cone"- served in a waffle cone topped with your sauce of choice! They have Soft Serve ice cream too! The place is clean and tidy, the service is very friendly, and accommodating. The atmosphere is modern soda fountain-ish . They offer high tops and a row of tables bench and chairs for four each. We happened to try Harrell's today for lunch. I loved the variety of ways we could get a hot dog. That was our goal today - find a great hot dog! It's an open air style front shop, where you can get ice cream (we will try another day). Inside is a long counter so you can order deli-style and see what's being added as you go. A board will help you with some basic offerings and toppings. The shop is narrow, but longer than you might think. Not all tables were cleaned (but it was a 1-man show; he cleaned when I mentioned it). The man behind the counter was very helpful, plus we looked like we had never been there before! Lol. We ordered the chili cheese dog and the Chicago dog. You can get a selection of bun bread, which is great. Then....They place it on this miracle grill thing that crisps that bun and makes the most delicious vessel for the dog. We loved this place. It reminded me of a place in California Bay Area and it felt like "home". I hope you'll try it. We will be back to try again! Yum. read more

My 400th review is for Harrell's which is an awesome local business we tried for the first time tonight. I've been pet sitting in the Winter Garden area and my boyfriend has been craving hot dogs for a week, so I looked up local spots that offered delivery and this one came up on Uber Eats. After checking on Yelp, it looked good so we placed an order. We got three different dogs so we could try out a variety. We ordered a chili cheese dog with Harrell's sauce, a dog with roasted peppers, relish, and cheddar jack cheese, and a dog with arugula, blue cheese crumbles, potato sticks, and avocado ranch sauce. For sides, we got mac and cheese and fries. First of all, I was already excited looking at the menu because I love customization and this place delivers it! There are so many topping and sauce combos so you can create your perfect dog. The food came quickly and was still warm. The buns didn't seem toasted like the pictures I saw online, but that might just be because toasted bread doesn't hold up during delivery so no big deal. I had a little of each hot dog and they were all delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh and they didn't skimp on the toppings. The mac and cheese has a really tasty sauce. The noodles were on the soft side, but it was still delicious and they offer it as a topping on the dogs which I think would work quite well. The fries were also yummy. The Harrell's sauce is delicious! I'd definitely get an extra side of that in the future. The dogs aren't the biggest or snappiest, but they are still good quality and with the wide array of delicious toppings, Harrell's is definitely towards the top of my list for satisfying a hot dog craving! read more

After leaving Pillars, I was really hungry and stumbled upon this place. They were clearly about to close but took my order anyway and they were incredibly nice!
