They claim this is a 19 oz draft In reality, it comes as a full 12 oz. TABC would frown upon this...

Hmmm, a speakeasy in south Tyler. Ok, I'll play- but what miffs me is the fact that I knew that this reincarnation of the old Half Moon was going to be called "South Tyler Speakeasy," by the large LED sign in front. Really...identity crisis? Jon Taffer- hello, where are you? Aside from the weird concept (I mean a speakeasy is supposed to be discreet, right?), the newly remodeled Half Moon [cough cough], I mean South Tyler Speakeasy does have some positives: The owner(s) opted to force the smokers outside. I can now freely go in here, and wake up the next morning and sort of enjoy my rigid hangover, without puking from the stench of stale cigarette smoke. [golf clap]. The food is hit or miss. They seem to focus on pizzas and burgers. The burgers, and fresh cut fries, are actually really good. I'll come here solely for the burgers. The pizza though, is downright disgusting. The consensus amongst our party was to push the pizza aside, and never order it again. I hope that they correct this, as I actually enjoyed Half Moon's pizza. The service is similar to Half Moon. Roll the dice. I asked our server if they had a prohibition drink menu- you know, it's a speakeasy, but she had a perplexed look, as she clearly didn't have a clue what I was referring to. Watch your check too. I've never been gouged, but some of my friends have had their credit cards overcharged, and a few have received a mystery check, with padded drinks. Hit or miss, on the service. All in all, it has a lot of potential, and most importantly its close to mi casa, so I can *walk* home after a slew of beers.

Cool small bar to hang out. Beer was a little overpriced. Closes at 12am. Not bad for Gresham

She brought several small tastings of different beers before we each made a selection; I love when bars do this so you are not wasting your money on a drink you do not care for. This alone gets an extra star for me. LOTS of beer and cider choices on tap. There is a clipboard at each table with 3 pages of drink options. We ordered two different pizzas and both were delicious. One of them we ordered had a cauliflower crust because of some food allergies and it was great! If they can made cauliflower crust that good it puts them ahead of other places, as that is very hard to do and do well. Our bartender did a great job of taking care of us even though we were not sitting at the bar. I returned about a week later with my grandkids; again the pizza was great. Then crust was crispy and light and the topping were generous. The service seemed a little slow but overall we still had a good experience. I recommend this place to anyone who has food allergies but still enjoys a good pizza and a cold beer!

(went on Feb. 25)…read more It's rare to find a restaurant that serves the entire fish, as seen here. But in Chinese restaurants, that's the norm! (There, they also steam the fish rather than fry it; but hey, beggars can't be choosers!) I knew this existed from other people's pics. But on the menu, I couldn't figure out which item it was. I asked the waiter, he pointed it out, but I forgot what he said. Lol. I think it's tilapia. It was $15 before tax, tip. Just what I wanted!

(NYC). Introducing Inka's. Peruvian meets Colombian cuisine. I am part Colombian so Colombian cuisine is something I am very familiar with, Peruvian not so much. The number one staple in Colombian food is going to be the dish called "Bandeja Paisa" which contains pork, beef, sausage, sweet plantain, egg, avocado, rice and beans. This is what caught my eye because it is what I am most familiar with. I also ordered a mango milkshake. This was not my first time being here at this establishment. The place stays pretty empty and it is quite unfortunate because the quality of food, the taste and the attentive to detail from the staff is above and beyond. Inside, the place is rather big and it looks like they have live music at times. I just wish them to a lot more busier because this is the closest thing I have to Colombian food. My bandeja paisa elevated me straight to Colombia where the taste from the pork was out of this world it was so crunchy yet so soft, the beans were amazing as well as the beef. Let me not forget the mango milkshake which was delicious. I need everyone to saturate this establishment and support this business because these flavors are international but teleported locally to serve good cuisine.
