The South Wind motel is such a cool place to stay. I know they recently totally modernized and now it's a super on trend 50s themed cute motel with tons of little details. It's super instagrammable and they've thought of everything from having water in the room, to having cute wallpaper, and overall really cute vibes. They have a lot of sustainable element. The bathroom and kitchette are updated and modern. Love the touch of having local coffee. Located in the German Village and walkable to a lot of good cafes, coffee shops, etc. We stayed in with Mayor's Suite which has tons of space, windows. I would definitely visit again.

Nice area with plenty of places to walk to. Room was perfect for a single night getaway and very clean with new feel in an old joint.

It had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, great local coffee for the pour over, and fast responses from the staff.

There's also a restaurant or two there as well. Rooms were nice in the "old" hotel (the one I was in) and I didn't have any problems and slept pretty well. The pillows were acceptable and my room actually had a desk which seems to be something I've been having trouble with lately. I'd stay here again if I was coming to the Convention Center. I was told that my Honors Member rate would be booked for the full stay. At check in, the reservation I made was not even for the correct number of nights. I booked for Wednesday thru Sunday but they only had my block of rooms for Wednesday and Thursday. We were told to come down and check out and check back in the following day. When we came down in the morning to take care of this, that front desk person said we should not have had to check in and check out and move rooms even though this is what we were told upon arrival. We then find out that our rate has gone from $187 to approximately $500 a night for the remaining stay. Of course we are shocked. We went to speak to the manager and he was not willing to meet us in the middle to find a solution. He gave us a hard no and said you won't find another hotel in this area for the remaining days. We found another hotel, three rooms left and did not stay and found other accommodations. I think there were enough issues with our reservations and being told a different story depending upon who we spoke with that the hotel. It is unfortunate that they seemed to not care to loose guests and two rooms. I am truly floored by the switch and bait and also that management/staff really seemed to not be bothered. We might only be 6 guests total but they just lost customers who that will never book with this hotel chain again.

It's like a Happy Hour with free (but limited) booze and beer. And unlimited food. The food varies but during our visit consisted of chips and nacho cheese (you know, the liquid stuff out of a bag or box), steamed veggies, hot dogs, whole baked potatoes, chili, chicken strips, and penne in cream sauce. Is the food great? No, but it's freeeee so quit your complaining. Everyone likes free even if it's just kind of average. I will say, the cocktails are pretty good. And if you have kids, you can make the free food and drinks your dinner and save some serious money dining out. By the way, the hot dogs are steamed and are wonderful. Really. I almost forgot: there's free and freshly-made popcorn in the lobby. You serve yourself. The room was nice and clean. They are serious about security at this location. You need a hotel guest card to get into the parking garage. You need a guest card to get into the elevator cubicle. And you need a guest card to get to the floors where the guest rooms are located. Service was great, all-around, from the hard working folks managing everyone at the Kickback to the front desk workers. It's not a Four Seasons and it doesn't try to be. There is a lot to like here.

I travel for work with my work wife, whose standards for hotels can best be described as "bougie…read morewith an excellent breakfast," so we end up in a lot of Autograph Collection properties. This trip brought us to the LeVeque. I opened the door to my room and literally stopped in my tracks. My first thought: Can the interior designer come do my house next? The decor is gorgeous. One of my favorite discoveries was that the gold framing around the mirrors and bed? Plastic. The crisscross "marble" lamp bases? Also plastic. Honestly, brilliant. They look exactly like the kind of ridiculously heavy gold frames and marble lamps that would double as murder weapons in a Dateline episode. The bathroom is huge, the towels are fluffy, and there's a separate privacy door for the toilet--an underrated luxury when traveling. My only room complaint: the shampoo has that generic "guy cologne" scent that never quite smells as good as its creators think it does. The hotel's artwork is classy, and the bar area is comfortable with plenty of couches for lounging. The drinks, however, are pricey. At those prices, the martinis should arrive with special effects--a bubble on top that explodes into smoke, minimum. A minor annoyance: the lobby ran out of Diet Coke for purchase. Unfortunately, Marriott doesn't seem to give employees a small emergency soda fund to run out and buy a case. As for parking, valet would have been nice, but instead you park in the garage around the corner. The attached walkway makes it easy enough, though. Overall: beautiful hotel, stunning rooms, great atmosphere.

The hotel was asked if there was a conference or meeting room we could use for the day! The answer was Yes! One room was in the second floor and the other one was a meeting area in the lobby next to the library. It was between the Starbucks and the front desk. It was out in the open but we weren't discussing anything confidential. Very few people came by us as most people waited closer to the front desk if they were waiting for someone. This led to a quiet atmosphere where we could hear each other without difficulty. We used a delivery service for lunch because The Keep's kitchen was going to close in 20 minutes. They are open for breakfast and close, close for several hours and reopen for happy hour/dinner service. The valet parking for the day was about $26 before tip.

Very nice upscale hotel…read more Location is good, near lots of shopping and lots of food options!!! Also near the Crew stadium and just down the street from a super cute little quiet park with lots of walking paths. The only bummer is the club directly across the street that was bumping profane music, which was kind of annoying. DON'T park in the parking adjacent to the hotel in the liquor store parking lot. It looks like you can pay to park but the church reserves the lot for Sundays so you WILL GET TOWED if your car is in there overnight. We didn't realize it said 3am, not 3pm, so both our car and my father in-law's car got towed. Luckily the tow lot is just .9miles down the street so just a walk away. I guess we'll just valet and stay in the hotel parking lot next time, would be worth it. Cute rooms! Very nice, clean, tidy, well laid out with lots of little amenities throughout for how compact the room is. Big bathroom, which is nice!!! LOTS of outsets and USB outlets for charging. Definitely no view in the room we had though. We could just see the cement ceiling part of whatever hotel structure is below us. They could possibly put some decor or something low maintenance out there just for some sort of view. The room coffee was decent! I appreciated the two creamers included, some hotels don't include any creamer, which it at that point the coffee is pointless to me. Luckiy my fiance drinks his black so I was able to use the creamers. I appreciated this little detail. I also do like the full size shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the rooms, as sometimes those tiny little things don't even have enough in one for my hair alone let alone anyone else that is staying with me. We had these rooms on points so value for the price I'm honestly not sure. But I definitey wasn't dissappointed by any means!

We also called to request a pillow and blanket since we had a pullout couch...And they just delivered us two sheets. No pillow, no comforter, and nothing supplied in the room. Had a bite to eat at the downstairs bar again. Food was good, but bartender both Friday and Saturday night didn't seem like he wanted to be there. No personality and seemed annoyed when we would order drinks or food. Just had a very lazy attitude about him. We did head up to the rooftop bar this time and it was amazing. Bartenders were super friendly and the views were beautiful at night.
