This had been our pediatrician office success the birth of our son. They checked in him several times when we were in Swedish, which was nice. Often, if you are scheduling a appointment for sickness, the same day scheduling means that you week probably meet with a P.A. rather then an M.D. We have meet with Dr. Miga, Dr. Schwartz, and Pat the P.A. Every time felt warm and personal, with real compassion at every turn. Dr. Schwartz is our favorite. She is so sweet with our kiddo. The nurses are great at giving shots for minimizing their discomfort. I have never waited long in the waiting room, but occasionally the wait between a doctor visit and the nurse follow-up can be as much as 5-10 minutes. Fortunately, there are books in every waiting room to help distract a restless child. We love this office and will continue to have our son as their patient. read more

Well once again had to deal with the Southeast Denver Pediatrics circus. So after being told we had paid our bills in full for 5 kids we get a bill from SE Denver for $13.88. I was told that this was missed and it was accruing interest so the finance charges needed to be credit but the $11.62 was due. Hmm ok finally paid in full. Stay as far away from this joke of a practice as possible!!! No customer service or common business sense at all. My family is full of doctors they would never have treated a family with 5 patients for 20 years like this. Run in the other direction...... read more

I will not recommend to anyone . Doctors don't listen to what the patients say . We complained of ear pain and my kid had cold and fever for more than 5 days . They doctor asked us to continue tylenol and ibrufin and asked us to come after 3 days . But during night puss started to come out and my kid was crying very badly as a mother we couldn't explain how bad the situation was . We had to take him to emergency and we got billed in 1000's because of doctors carelessness my kid had to suffer which is unnecessary. They don't care about patients. Please don't go read more

We had been struggling to find a good doctor who would tell us what was wrong with my son, as he had stomach problems for about 2 weeks. We took him to two different ones before, and nether had an answer. We are so happy we found Dr. Rodriguez, he really listened to me, and did all the test he could on my son and we figured out the problem. I felt heard, and not judged over my concerns. The nurses are also very sweet, and always go above and beyond to make my baby feel comfortable and happy. I also really loved how nice the ladies at the front desk were when I had to reschedule, also when there was a snow storm they called me to see if I wanted a Teleheath so I didn't have to leave my home, but still talk to the doctor and not miss my appointment. It really made me feel like they care about my son and his health. I also love that I'm not rushed to get out of the office, they take their time to really hear you out and give the best advice possible, this was very important to me since with the previous Doctor the visits felt very rushed, and felt like they didn't really care about my child. read more

Office manager is one of the most uncaring vindictive peopleI Ive ever met in healthcare and Im a provider. We called the on call after hours asking if they knew where our daughter could get tested for COVID as she was ill. Not only did the physician send us to a clinic that had no tests at night , we were unknowingly charged a televisit by the practice. This was not what televisits it was an on call after hours issue.when we disputed the 25.00 charge the office manager fired my daughters from the practice and sent us to a cheap collection agency that called us from Pakistan. read more

This review is about an experience my family had with Dr. Tucker at SEDP. On day 2 of our child's life we had our initial appointment with Dr. Tucker, we did not choose to see him specifically, he was the doctor assigned to us that day. As is usual at this appointment, our child was weighed at the onset. It was evident he had lost more weight than is average for a newborn which was very concerning to my husband and I. We were both distraught and searching for guidance and reassurance. Not only was Dr. Tucker an alarmist and told us that our only 2 options were to formula feed or take him back to the hospital, he never once mentioned alternatives like working with a lactation consultant. He told me repeatedly that my milk had not come in, which was impossible for him to ascertain as I had not been examined and I can assure you, as the woman whose body this was happening to, my milk had definitively came in. He handed us a bottle of formula to feed our child in the appointment. My biggest regret is not listening to my instinct and refusing, however being merely 48 hours postpartum, we were in such a fragile and vulnerable position I felt I had to trust that this expert and professional would only be telling me the truth. He also stated, "Donor milk banks are so expensive and have waitlists, you don't want to do that." Thankfully, we had other resources to help us through and we started working with a lactation consultant the next day. My son has gained 2 pounds in a few weeks with only my breast milk (with the exception of that one bottle of formula he gave us during the appointment). Needless to say we switched practices. He was wrong about his diagnosis (Your milk hasn't come in) and his recommendation for moving forward (You need to give him formula for the next few days for him to gain weight). He also tried to insist we come back in the next day (calling me 4 times) for "his peace of mind" even though he knew we had started working with a reputable lactation consultant who had her own scale and could monitor his growth while also providing support in breastfeeding. I've never written a review like this in my life, but I feel I have to given how disheartening this experience was. I hope no one else ever has to feel the way we felt that day. The postpartum experience is innately vulnerable and should be dealt with empathy and a far wider scope of informed care. Every pediatrician should know what a lactation consultant is and should be discussing them as an option when the family has made it clear they only want to use formula as a last resort. I would look elsewhere for care for your children. read more

I have been coming here since I was born along with all of my family. The Peds here are so nice and I have always felt so welcome and well taken care of. Even when I get my shots here, they are so relaxing and know exactly how to distract you so you don't freak out. I cannot say enough good things about this place. This is a wonderful practice with exceptionally knowledgeable and attentive providers. I have been seeing the PA, Sierra, for the last 9 years since I transitioned to a female provider at the start of my teenage years. Sierra has been the most wonderful PCP I could ever ask for. She always makes me feel comfortable during my visits, and I know I can trust her with anything. Not only is she thorough, but she genuinely listens, asks important questions and remains patient with everybody in the room. She is someone who genuinely cares about the health and well-being of her patients. I will absolutely take my future kids to her--without a doubt--because I am confident they will be in the hands of the best care. Additionally, this office has wonderful behavioral health services if your children struggle with anxiety or anything in that realm. Terri Learned is a licensed clinical social worker who practices at this office--she is warm-hearted, phenomenal and uniquely talented at what she does. I've been seeing her as a way to cope with anxiety for a few years now, and would rather not see anybody else. Her services have changed me & how I approach challenging circumstances for the better. The front desk staff are super sweet and welcoming too! I would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone - it gets a 10/10 for me! read more

My daughter has been a patient for 9 years and we usually have a great experience but today I called to see if they could call in a script to the pharmacy for cough syrup so I could use my health savings account. I was informed that we need another appointment to receive a script. My daughter was seen in their office last week. It was very disappointing that they wanted to charge me for another visit when we were just there. read more

Have been coming here for close to 10 years when my kids were 4 and 5. It's close to home which for a pediatrician is pretty important. They have a group of same day "sick" appointments which is reassuring. We've seen several people, but with the exception of one male doctor, have been very happy with them. The offices are in a non-descript office building off Evans, but have been remodeled and are nice. Parking is good. read more

Update: i faxed a request for records to be sent to the new doctor July 25. A follow up call 10 days ago from the new dr to this office produced nothing. Now, 2 days before the appointment i called and was told by a very snotty records clerk that they have a turn around time and i should expect to wait at least 2-3 weeks for records. When i pointed out the request was sent 3 weeks and 6 days ago, she asked "do you want them sent or not?". Oh, and the only way they will send them is snail mail so there is no way we will receive them before the appointment that I waited for a month. read more

I am not happy with the staff at this location. Doctors are great but staff is useless, we had an appt at 9:30 and we reached there between 9:35 - 9:40. The lady at reception did all initial formalities and make us sit. After 10 minutes she goes Dr tucker wont be able to see you today as you are late. Are you kidding me did you realize this after 20 mins???? My husband and i took half day off at work for this appt now we gotta reschedule again and take another day off at work.. My son is 3 1/2 years old right now and South east denver pediatrics Dr Tucker is his pediatrician. We absolutely love Dr Tucker. He is very patient and thoroughly checks him and doesnt rush at all, patiently answers all our questions. We have also seen other Doctors in the practice and they are good as well. Not a good practice if you have a teen or pre-teen daughter. While they were good for my son, their approach harmed my daughter. I mentioned to multiple staff at least four times during three different visits that I was worried my daughter was developing disordered eating. They never looked into it further, they never gave us resources, they never offered a referral for a mental health evaluation, they never asked why she was exercising in the middle of the night or eating only one salad a day. She is now in college and getting the help she needs from an adult physician who recognized her behavior as high functioning anorexia. Meanwhile Southeast Denver Pediatrics, for years, just took her weight and said she didn't appear to be starving so she must be fine. Had they been more proactive, we could have fixed this much sooner when she was at home and had more support. I'm still amazed at their flippant reaction to what seemed problematic to me and indeed was. read more

We chose this office because Dr. Tucker is listed as one of top pediatrician on the 5280 magazine after switching insurance. Since January we've only seen Dr. Tucker once(we had an initial appt. to meet him when we were choosing a new pediatrician) . He is a busy doctor and if you call to make an appt. at this office you only get to be seeing by a Nurse Practitioner. I asked them if my kids could be seen by a Dr. but they usually don't have any available. After the initial visit with him, we had about 5 more appointments and they all have been with a nurse. I was used to have my kids examined by a Doctor at Kaiser. This is different and I don't know if it is like this at all private clinics. One more thing you are going to wait a long time to be seeing after your schedule time. We've waited more than 20 minutes for the nurse to come in the exam room. The nurses are very caring and helpful, but I would rather have a Doctor. Not necessarily Dr. Tucker. read more

I have been going to both the Denver and Parker office for the last 4 1/2 years. Didn't have many problems, if any, the first couple years. Not sure what or who changed but their office has and so has the way they practice. It's a little heart braking for me as I used to love this office. I've had nothing but problems the last year. Just to name a few... Waited 2 hours in a room before doctor even came in. Nurse kept checking on us ( all 5 of us) every 30 minutes. No one cared to ask if I'd like to reschedule because obviously something came up with our doctor. Several missed diagnosis, only to be caught by physicians at childrens. Rude and unsympathetic staff, not all , but I've encountered a handful. Also, one of their nurses shared my sons health information with another patient without my consent. I just happen to know that patient and she informed me. How unprofessional and ILLEGAL to share medical information without consent. This office is great unless you confront management about issues you've had. They don't care about your concerns and are happy to have you leave the office. Do your research because there are AMAZING doctors, just pick the one best for you and your family. I've heard Dr. Schwartz is the best! read more
