By far the worst doctors office I have ever been too. they constantly overbook and you will be waiting 3-4 hours. I don't know how it stays in business and people still come here. I went once a couple years ago and I had to wait 3 hours. I thought it was a fluke. I just went again and had to wait 3.5 hours. the waiting room had about 20-30 people in it and it's 7pm! I'm a patient guy, but I have NEVER been to a doctors office that has waiting times like this. it's like going to the emergency room. Bring a book or ipad with multiple movies because you will be camping out. You will also have to take a full or half day off from work. I am not kidding. It is nuts. Preventive macular degeneration care by having shots in my eye. The technicians are hard working and dealing with Lot of patients but they are always smiling and a pleasure to deal with. This is hands down the worst doctor's office I've ever been to. I waited over FOUR HOURS just to be seen -- with zero communication from the staff the entire time. No one let me know how long the wait would be, and when I politely asked, the employees were rude and completely disrespectful. It felt like they didn't care at all about the patients sitting there for hours. No updates, no apologies -- just attitude. This place is completely unprofessional, and honestly, I don't know how they're still operating like this. Save yourself the time and stress and go literally anywhere else. How is it possible that this place has trained its patients to wait 3 - 4 hours to be called back? This is so disrespectful of everyone's time. I went there with my 83-year-old mother for a follow-up appointment to get results for tests the month prior. The waiting room was packed, there were no restrooms or even water, and the seats were jammed and uncomfortable. We were seated next to some "regulars" who found it humorous that they could tell the new patients because they didn't know they had to wait 3-4 hours (as if this is a normal thing). Because my mother was waiting for results and not an actual procedure, I was naive enough to think that she would not be there long. After waiting for two hours and hearing that we were still an hour or two away from being called back, we left. This is so rude and disrespectful. If they are that busy, hire more colleagues. Rude staff. Always a 2 plus hour wait. I had to stay since they operated on me but I would never ever go back.

I recently worked here and they treat their employees horribly. Mainly the manager and one of the doctors. She would tell you one thing and then say she never said that. If you call out sick, she would find a way to punish you. They like to hire family members and if you're not part of one of those families, you get treated poorly. People get hired with no experience and since they're related to someone there, they get special treatment and rules that have been in place for years are changed. They do not care about their employees and I've seen multiple HIPAA violations when the doctor forces patients into a room a scribe is still working on and has the previous patients information on the large and easily readable computer screens. I recommend against receiving treatment here or inquiring about employment here. Most employees, minus the ones who have family there that get special treatment, would agree with these statements and when I did work there, we would all discuss how insane it is how we were being treated. They have you work so hard for up to 12 hours a day and don't compensate well. I was promoted and the "raise" was not worth it. Love this office and everyone that works here. Do be aware of the wait times and how long your appointment can last from check in to check out since can be 3-4 hours. They tell you this in their phone message and the employees remind you, so don't think they're joking. You will get some of the BEST service and most meticulous work for your precious eyes from Dr. Sullivan. I had deteriorating vision in my right eye. My optomologist said I had macular degeneration and nothing could be done. He also informed me I had cataracts. As a pilot I figured my flying days were over and did my best to accept this news. I made an appointment with a cataract specialist. He advised me that there was an operation that may help someone with my condition. He recommended an appointment with Dr Agee. Dr Agee was pleasant and described the process. 3 probes inserted into the eye. Trimming the retina. Needless to say I was very apprehensive, but elected to have surgery. From start to finish, every step of the way was GREAT. One month later I'm back to 20/20. This was my miracle. Absolutely superb doctors and staff. read more

The wait can be 2.5 to 3.5 hrs, but it all depends on how you view your eyesight. I thought about changing Drs, however at this particular visit Dr Sullivan found a tear in my retina. Within a 1/2 hr he had it repaired by laser. I can't thank him enough and really dont care how long appt. takes when I get care like that!! read more

There's usually a full waiting room as this is one of two specialist in the Jacksonville area. With that being said it is usually comfortable and the patients are usually over 50 to 90 years of age, very little patience and yet half the entertainment comes from listening to their woes and crotchety ways. The staff is very courteous and understand their clientele and are sensitive to their concerns and comfort. I find that the aesthetics are peaceful and calming with neutral colored walls, paintings of palm trees, bodies of water and sunsets. One concern worth making note is how each patient signs HIPPA forms for confidentiality and yet the staff calls each patient by name identifying him/her to the entire room instead of a number system or some form of keeping a sir name private. For this reason the rating is a 4 star. read more

Receptionist and some staff appears to Be cold and not very courteous. The extremely long wait time is inexcusable. I can't believe this office cannot practice better time management, this makes me believe the whole staff is inconsiderate of their patients' personal time. How would the doctors like it if all patients showed up 2-3 hours late for their appointments? Ironically, they would be on schedule if all patients showed up 2-3 hours late. I recommend they fix this horrible problem because I can't believe the CDC would be ok with so many patients being crammed in waiting rooms to allow for covid transmissions. Before moving to St. Augustine we made sure Dr. Agee had all medical records concerning the treatment of my macular degeneration. We were very worried because I only have one eye with sight left. Upon the first visit found they did not have the medication I had been getting previously so Dr. Agee used what they had. I immediately developed floaters (first time) and called them right away and was told this was normal. After a week called again and was told the same. After two weeks called and asked to speak with the Dr. This office has the Receptionist screening calls so she insisted on my telling her my medical condition even though she had no medical training and would not transfer me to someone who did. Dr Sullivan and Dr Agee were excellent in providing very successful retina repairs. They have a huge number of patients but the staff is very pleasant and efficient in preparing patients for their exams.
