Bought it, the wonderful Sandra installed it - and found another problem along the way with a hose dry-rotting. She fixed that for me too. I am SO happy. I grew up with a Dad who ran an auto parts store. The stores today of course aren't like my Dads, back in the 1950-60s. But I have to say, THIS store is as close as I've seen. Friendly, helpful, not condescending with their knowledge, generous with their time. I woke up this morning not knowing I was going to have to drop $350 at an auto parts store. But I was so happy when I left, I stopped two places and recommended Advanced (and Sandra) in the checkout lines. I'm so happy I may post it on my FB page. Customer satisfaction, 15 on a 1 to 10. Yesterday after testing the battery and determining that it was still healthy, one of their staff jumped my car, tested the alternator, and finally removed and replaced the battery terminal bolt that was causing the poor connection. Not only did this completely solve the problem I've been having with starting my car, they didn't even charge me! I was given a quote to repair and told that these were very complex, time consuming repairs. The price, while high, but only half of what dealers in Atlanta and Huntsville quoted. I was given the choice of using the top closed, or a complete redo. This was the only shop in Birmingham willing to attempt the repair. After replacing the rails, travellers, multiple parts (all of cheap OEM FIAT plastic), the top still had issues. It did not stop at the midposition detents, and the trunk would not open. Reviews of this top on the internet show that it is very complex and I feel cheaply made. That is why most shops won't touch them. After two further attempts at repair, I was told that there was nothing further they could do. However, they agreed to a third attempt, at their expense if I would bring the car back two months later. Although skeptical, I took Dave West's word that they would make it right. True to his word, Dave fixed the issues on his own dime! I knew that he lost money on the repair and offered to pay him additional monies. He refused and apologized for the delay in getting it fixed.
