First and foremost the 1 star ratings seem to be bitter individuals not customers. That said if you go there, you'll see the amazing service and the drinks are sooooo good. Everything Taylor N. Says is 100% true. Stephanie did the same to me and abused me being financially in tough spot and unable to fight back. This is a pattern of behavior for her and her business needs to get shut down for her shady business actions towards employees. She only paid me for HALF the hours I worked in total.... and forced me to agree to only being paid half due to desperately needing the money to try ensure I didn't become homeless/able to afford/have food. She also did not care about my safety as an employee. I was dealing with stalking issues and she ignored me trying to inform her about that. She then blamed me for the lock box being "changed" or "having issues" when I had done nothing to the lockbox... She is slanderous and a greed awful business owner. She also constantly left her baby in the car-- while I know she was near her car in the coffee stand I still GREATLY disliked that she did that almost daily. read more

If it were possible to rate any lower and give no stars I'd be all over that, but unfortunately one star will have to do. This review is long overdue. This is the most unprofessional "establishment" to work for. I worked for the owner for 6 months in 2019 & I bent over backwards and worked my ass off only for her to mentally abuse me. She is EXTREMELY manipulative and has more excuses than anybody I have ever met in my life. She will accuse you of stealing and when asked to show proof she will refuse to show you said "proof" she will call you at ridiculous hours to cover her shifts. She lies. I worked the Pierce County Fair for her and ended up working almost 14 hours and getting a couple hours of sleep and then had to go work my next shift at 4am. She will refuse to pay you your final wages to the point where you will need to go to the labor board. (If any of her current baristas see this, I can get you the name of the person who was able to get me my money I was rightfully owed) she likes to say "I always win" Wrong. I won what was rightfully mine. I highly recommend not working for her. In my opinion her "business" needs to be done and she needs a wake up call on how to treat people. She says "southern hospitality" is what she strives for. WRONG. I hope this doesn't happen to anybody else. BEWARE OF SHADY OPERATIONS. Oh and she doesn't have a time clock machine so she will screw you over on your hours, so make sure you keep very good track of when you clock in and out. And she will not put sick pay on your paystubs. Oh and if you show up to get your final check and it's lower than what you are owed and you call her out on it, she will call the cops on you saying you're a "disgruntled employee" Stephanie is the biggest joke of them all and I know karma is just waiting to kick her off her feet. Terrible place to work-Owner says she's a Christian and cares but she doesn't. Don't trust her. The employees are told to ring up drinks to the next $.25 if paid in cash. She doesn't pay her employees on time and always seems to come up with an excuse on why she can't cover her shifts. read more

I had the weirdest experience while getting a coffee here. The girl who made my drink was super standoffish. I ordered a 20oz iced americano with half sweet flavor and she gave me a 16oz, didn't make an americano, made it super sweet, and then charged me $8 for it. I still tipped her and wished her a Merry Christmas because I've worked in this industry before but I've never had my drink made so wrong and then to even charge that much for a 16oz blows my mind.. read more

Visiting from out of state for work, I found this place and wanted to try it. I ordered the Camouflage (white chocolate with lavender) and a bagel with cream cheese. I didn't really like the fact that the bagel was in a bag and still pretty cold due to the refrigeration. The drink was good. The service was fast. So fast that after signing for the receipt with tip, she closed her window on me ( it is pretty cold in the AM) before I could even ask for my own receipt that I need for work. Used to love southern charm and go everyday before work but really frustrated now... I went this morning to get a coffee and the barista didn't put the lid fully on so it popped off while driving and spilled all over my car. There's nothing wrong with that because mistakes happen, but when I went back later to get a new one since I didn't get to drink any, I assumed they would give me one because she didn't put the lid on correctly, and I'm also going to have to get my car rug & floor shampooed & cleaned because of the full throttle and syrup all over. Instead, she looked at me and said " I've never had that problem before" and called her boss to ask if she could replace my drink, and instead I had to pay for it. It's not about the $$ because I could totally pay for another one if I wanted one! But she put the lid on wrong and it spilled all over. So I payed for two drinks and got one. I would never recommend going here. I stopped by today and had a bad experience. I posted my honest review on Google and the owner (I'm assuming since they responded) told me reported my review lol. Instead of taking responsibility like most small business owners would do, she tried to turn it around on me. No. You need to do better. I had to throw out my coffee (if you could call it that? Tasted more like sweetened milk!). I really wish I didn't tip them, because she certainly didn't deserve it after slamming the window shut in my face. I can understand if the weather was bad & they had to shut the window, but nope, just plain rudeness! PSA: THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS NOT WEARING MASKS. I REPEAT, NONE OF THE EMPLOYEES HAVE WORN MASKS ANY OF THE TIMES I HAVE BEEN HERE. I've been to several coffee shops/stands in my life and this is by far the worst one I've ever gone to. I've been here multiple times giving them the benefit of the doubt after each bad experience and since it's so close to where I live. Every time I've gone here, if there is more than one employee working (including the owner), they are talking badly or complaining about customers and using profanity. The owner has been one of the ones negatively talking about a customer with one of her employees one of the times I visited. Another time, I was with my 13-year old sister and they were exclaiming/yelling things like "what the hell!" when conversing with each other. Upsetting when it was clear I had a younger individual in the car with me and didn't even bother using appropriate language! The example I gave isn't a huge deal to me but it certainly can be to someone else! They do the bare minimum with their drinks while charging prices that are the same as or even more than other shops. Got a caramel macchiato and standard strawberry Italian soda and they were sooooo watered down, we tossed them in the trash after a couple sips. Caramel macchiato has no caramel drizzle or anything to at least make it LOOK worth the money. The customer service was good as the employees were nice to my face, but hearing them talking negatively about previous customers was a massive turn off. Why do it in front of another customer?? Not only is the owner one of the most rude people I've ever met, but the way she treats her customers is appalling. Used to be a regular there in the mornings and she started coming in, would get my coffee wrong, burnt it, refused to remake it or even give a refund. And then wants to berate me to another customer on the other side about how she's sorry for making them late. She has to deal with this difficult customer. So embarrassing. Never again will I come back here. And reading her FB reviews and the way she talks to people who leave honest reviews? Why would they even advertise drinks at a certain price of they're going to charge 50 cents per syrup? My red bull drink was almost $7 for the smallest size. Ridiculously overpriced, I'm disappointed that they're the only coffee shop near my work that makes them because I will not be returning. $4 for a red bull alone and then $0.50 after that is obscene. The warm welcoming of the owner sparked my attention as well as the drink that was prepared and served to my expectations, there was a constant conversation throughout each of my visits, which was wonderful and important to me!
