We came for dinner on a busy evening. The restaurant was fairly crowded, so I won't judge the service based on this visit. I ordered the Chuck Eye French Dip with truffle fries. The truffle fries were excellent. It was crispy, well seasoned, and not greasy. They had a nice truffle flavor without being overpowering. Unfortunately, the French dip was disappointing. The bread was toasted to the point that it was hard, making the sandwich difficult to enjoy. More importantly, the beef was very sparse for a $28 sandwich. It was advertised as chuck eye, but the meat I received was very lean and dry, lacking the tenderness and richness I'd expect from that cut. Based on this meal, I wouldn't order the French dip again. I enjoy getting food from here. It's a treat when I can. I primarily get takeout. I like the salmon farro bowl, farmers salad, and chickpea sandwich. Not sure they have it anymore, but I had a butternut squash pasta which was good. The food has been fresh and flavorful! I have dined here in-person a few times. It was good, but it got pretty loud in the restaurant and echoed quite a bit. So, I most often order to-go. I've usually had to wait additional time when picking up my order, exceeding the time that was quoted when it would be ready. Sometimes it's 10 to 15 minutes waiting. Not many restaurants take active measures to leave a better impression, and I 100% want to support their incredible service. We returned on a Monday at 11:30 AM and had a spectacular experience. The weather was beautiful, so we enjoyed the stunning outdoor seating area by the fountain and florals. Because it was a quieter weekday, we were seated immediately, our server was incredibly kind and attentive, and our food came out in just 15 minutes! We ordered the Fried Cod and French Fries, which was fried to absolute perfection (perfect batter, crispy outside, soft/warm inside). The fries were spectacular, too. I only wish the sides of coleslaw and pickles were a bit larger. We also had the Salmon Farro Bowl, which featured beautifully cooked salmon and a nice medley of veggies and avocado. It was a little bland for my personal taste, but it is a fantastic, clean option for health-conscious diners. My first visit was clearly just a fluke due to a busy weekend crowd. Went for dinner during the week with a party of eight. drinks took forever to get and 55 minute wait for our cold meals. Other parties who came after us received their drinks and meals before us. No refilling of water either although the other tables did. Another thing that was very obvious was that all the waitresses were grumpy and didn't or couldn't smile and were downright unfriendly. Too bad they automatically include 20% gratuity for a party of 8 and didn't give us an option to enter a lesser amount since 20% was clearly undeserved that evening. Just came by today for my birthday while family was in town. We all loved the overall charm of the grounds (there's a garden, playground, greenhouse, cafe, and venue here too). There's ample parking that's paved or across the street on gravel. The food looked amazing in photos, but I wouldn't say it was as good as it looked or sounded in descriptions. It was generally very tasty, but everything felt like it was missing just one ingredient that would make it better. It could be that I'm just more used to ethnic flavors and these were just not quite hitting the mark. For example the stratciatella was good, but if the whipped ricotta was a little more fluffy and there was some extra black pepper or lemon added it would have been perfect. The pork belly was a little dry and not worth the price for just three pieces. The thick cut truffle fries were very good however. We also tried the bucatini and it was nice but still I wanted a little more kick. It has spice but just needs a little something to punch it up. The steak sandwich two of the three of us sharing a meal loved and I'd say was the best thing we ate. The service staff was kind, considerate and gave us time and made sure our drinks were filled. The Vanilla Rum French Toast was a standout (More Mint Please!). It's flavorful without being overly sweet and the berry compote adds just the right tart balance. Mimosas were solid, coffee was hot, and I loved that we were able to make a reservation, which I highly recommend. It was already very busy by 10am when we walked in. They were down to only two Maple Bacon Cinna-Sants left, which honestly says everything you need to know. One thing to note is that it does get a bit noisy, even out on the patio. The space was bustling and energetic, which is part of the charm, but if you're looking for a quiet, intimate brunch this probably isn't that vibe. If the only vegan option you're going to offer is the worst avocado toast I've ever had, just don't offer a vegan option and let us know we aren't welcome. The avocado toast was tiny - probably 1/3 the caloric content of the rest of my family's meals but it cost the same. It had barely any avocado on it and was super dry as a result. And then the only hot sauce option to try to add any flavor to this flavorless pile of sadness was Tabasco, the worst hot sauce. Once we finally got sat our server basically ignored us the whole time. I will say that the French dip I ordered was good. The second time was for brunch. Again the service was extremely sub par. In addition we waited almost an hour for our food. Once the food did come out my eggs were undercooked and stone cold. I've always heard from friends how great Farm 12 was. I came here Friday for my birthday with a party of 15. I would say my expectations were pretty high for this place based on what I've been hearing for years. I have actually wanted to try Farm 12 for 2 years now just haven't had the chance. I made my reservation in August to ensure I could celebrate my special day here. The food was fine... nobody in the group raved about any of it. We had multiple items (including and grape bruschetta app and tarot carrot app which were not good at all). The seafood chowder, steak, and carrot cheese were probably the best. They were out of the beet salad which is what I wanted... so I tried the farmers salad which didn't match the menu description. The portions were HUGE.... they give way too many fries (which were lacking in crispyness/flavor). Cocktails were 100% on point! I want to try Farm 12 again when the fall menu drops... and then I can really decide what I think. The BIGGEST reason I am giving Farm 12 a 3 star is due to customer service. Our waitress was not very friendly, and seemed to be rushing everything. One friend ordered a salad which came out while we were still ordering. Without being asked, the waitress brought out the birthday cupcake pre lit while we were still eating dinner. This was a big dissapointment. Birthdays come once a year and people choose to go to dinner to relax, enjoy, and celebrate. I felt rushed and just not appreciated at all- so this was a BIG disapointment. As I mentioned above I will be back to try the food one more time, and I am hoping the management can lock in their employees. If this is the general way the establishment treats customers then I am confused as to how this place is so popular. Farm 12 is still that girl! Happy to know since we brought a group of 15 here for my mom's birthday last night. Food was excellent as usual. I love the selections - from fresh salads and sandwiches to pasta and steak frites. I got the tomato basil pasta for the first time, which came with a large rigatoni and a generous helping of burrata cheese. The sauce was creamy and red; the type I'd love to dip bread in! IF ONLY the bread basket (which we bought 4 of) came with more than 3 rolls Service was good. We had apps, plenty of drinks etc. and our server did a great job getting it all out. The kitchen was very slow, however, and I've noticed this before at other visits in groups larger than 4. I think they tend to make the smaller groups first. A family of 3 behind us came, ate, and left all while we were waiting for our meals... So that was tough. Our reservation was for 6pm and we didn't get meals until 7:45. Kids were hungry, but thankfully well behaved *Also, note that for birthdays they do NOT allow outside cakes. I wrote in our reservation note that we planned on bringing a cake, heard nothing, and then told we couldn't present it. A beautiful $120 custom cake had to stay in the box - and I brought plates, forks, the knife to slice it, and the lighter! Farm 12 had been on my "to try" list for the longest time and I finally had a chance to try it out. Getting there- it's in the middle of what feels like nowhere but the building its in is cute! There's another small cafe next door which can be confusing especially if you park where the gps tells you and it's on the opposite side from the restaurant entrance. The wait - the waitlist was pretty close on timing; however, for some reason when there were only 2 tables ahead of us, more people with similar party size to us were seated first, even though they arrived 10-20 minutes after us and the list didn't actually move. I asked about our wait since the app said there was no wait and they said they'd call us. This is the reason for the decrease in stars from 4 to 3. The way they call people is also not very organized when it's busy because it's difficult to hear unless you're watching and waiting close by. If you're hard of hearing give someone else's name so they can listen. The food - as someone who eats gluten free, there were some delicious options. The stars of the meal I think were the yogurt and the croissant cinnamon roll with maple bacon (not gluten free - but family loved this). I've been coming to Farm 12 for years but didn't realize I've never actually left a review. The did some re-arranging of the tables and hostess area so it seems a little bigger now. That could also just be in my head. Usually there's a long wait but the last time we stopped in we were seated right away. They have awesome pastries here and the food is pretty good. Though the menu seems to have been slimmed down and the chicken fried steak is just so-so. The gravy has some herbal medicine taste to it that doesn't agree with my palette. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Have not had a bad experience here, ever. The fish was cod and I can't say I was blown away but pretty good nevertheless. The cocktail were too sweet.
