(Updated Rating) UPDATE: I am updating my review because Farm 12's customer service completely blew me away! After my initial review, management proactively reached out to make things right. Not many restaurants take active measures to leave a better impression, and I 100% want to support their incredible service. We returned on a Monday at 11:30 AM and had a spectacular experience. The weather was beautiful, so we enjoyed the stunning outdoor seating area by the fountain and florals. Because it was a quieter weekday, we were seated immediately, our server was incredibly kind and attentive, and our food came out in just 15 minutes! We ordered the Fried Cod and French Fries, which was fried to absolute perfection (perfect batter, crispy outside, soft/warm inside). The fries were spectacular, too. I only wish the sides of coleslaw and pickles were a bit larger. We also had the Salmon Farro Bowl, which featured beautifully cooked salmon and a nice medley of veggies and avocado. It was a little bland for my personal taste, but it is a fantastic, clean option for health-conscious diners. My first visit was clearly just a fluke due to a busy weekend crowd. Just came by today for my birthday while family was in town. We all loved the overall charm of the grounds (there's a garden, playground, greenhouse, cafe, and venue here too). There's ample parking that's paved or across the street on gravel. The food looked amazing in photos, but I wouldn't say it was as good as it looked or sounded in descriptions. It was generally very tasty, but everything felt like it was missing just one ingredient that would make it better. It could be that I'm just more used to ethnic flavors and these were just not quite hitting the mark. For example the stratciatella was good, but if the whipped ricotta was a little more fluffy and there was some extra black pepper or lemon added it would have been perfect. The pork belly was a little dry and not worth the price for just three pieces. The thick cut truffle fries were very good however. We also tried the bucatini and it was nice but still I wanted a little more kick. It has spice but just needs a little something to punch it up. The steak sandwich two of the three of us sharing a meal loved and I'd say was the best thing we ate. The service staff was kind, considerate and gave us time and made sure our drinks were filled. Fantastic dinner with my foodie 16 y.o.!!! We started with the smoked salmon dip that came with toasted bread (nicely buttered and toasted) and crab cakes. Flavors on both dishes were complemented with the various garnish (sweet grape tomatoes for instance with the crab cakes and pickled red onion on the dip). For our Entrees I got the seafood chowder (so fresh and the broth was delicious like butter) and he got the steak sandwich on focaccia. We both "ummmm'd" all the way through the meal. 2nd time eating here and it was another great experience. I ordered the cowboy burger and it was flavorful, cooked to order and tasty. Meat was juicy, bun was buttery, and the toppings werent too much. The fries were even better. Service was also good. Its a little on the pricier side. It overall, a great experience. Got outdoor seating for a party of two. I will give grace because today was Saturday, Fathers Day Weekend Brunch. Got seated pretty quickly, ended up waiting about an hour for the food in the picture above. Waiters only checked in once.... I have been here about 2-3 times before. But this time was really disappointing. Measly portions and nothing particularly special about this restaurant except for their outdoor seating atmosphere. Would not go back.. :(( read more

I enjoy getting food from here. It's a treat when I can. I primarily get takeout. I like the salmon farro bowl, farmers salad, and chickpea sandwich. Not sure they have it anymore, but I had a butternut squash pasta which was good. The food has been fresh and flavorful! I have dined here in-person a few times. It was good, but it got pretty loud in the restaurant and echoed quite a bit. So, I most often order to-go. I've usually had to wait additional time when picking up my order, exceeding the time that was quoted when it would be ready. Sometimes it's 10 to 15 minutes waiting. The Vanilla Rum French Toast was a standout (More Mint Please!). It's flavorful without being overly sweet and the berry compote adds just the right tart balance. The whipped maple butter was dreamy, and the maple syrup on the side let you control the sweetness. My only tiny complaint from the entire meal is that I wished it had a little more mint because that brightness really elevated the dish. We also shared the Biscuits & Gravy, and wow. The Marina Bakery biscuit was tender and buttery, the housemade sausage gravy was rich but not heavy, and the eggs were cooked to absolute perfection. Nothing was overly salty, which I really appreciated. The little wedge of blood orange on the plate was such a cute and refreshing touch. My husband ordered the Farmhouse Steak & Eggs, and he was very happy. I stole a few of his country potatoes and they were crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and perfectly seasoned. Service was wonderful. Our server checked on us just enough and gave us space to enjoy our little day date. We've been together a long time and sometimes we just sit quietly on our phones, and it never felt rushed or awkward. When the food arrived, we both immediately put the phones down and dug in. Mimosas were solid, coffee was hot, and I loved that we were able to make a reservation, which I highly recommend. It was already very busy by 10am when we walked in. They were down to only two Maple Bacon Cinna-Sants left, which honestly says everything you need to know. One thing to note is that it does get a bit noisy, even out on the patio. The space was bustling and energetic, which is part of the charm, but if you're looking for a quiet, intimate brunch this probably isn't that vibe. That said, the atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. Jeans and a T-shirt are perfectly fine here. Show up as you are and settle in. Just consistently good. It's been a while since I've last visited and some things have changed. They no longer have the island right at the entrance for the host. Not it's back at the counter which really makes the space more open. I got the BLT again. I can't not get it. It's so good every time. The tartness of the pickled green tomato is just such yum. We were there on a holiday and it was packed. The food is fresh and good. This is the second time I've had a vegetarian version of a Reuben sandwich and it was good. I came here Friday for my birthday with a party of 15. I would say my expectations were pretty high for this place based on what I've been hearing for years. I have actually wanted to try Farm 12 for 2 years now just haven't had the chance. I made my reservation in August to ensure I could celebrate my special day here. The food was fine... nobody in the group raved about any of it. We had multiple items (including and grape bruschetta app and tarot carrot app which were not good at all). The seafood chowder, steak, and carrot cheese were probably the best. They were out of the beet salad which is what I wanted... so I tried the farmers salad which didn't match the menu description. The portions were HUGE.... they give way too many fries (which were lacking in crispyness/flavor). Cocktails were 100% on point! I want to try Farm 12 again when the fall menu drops... and then I can really decide what I think. The BIGGEST reason I am giving Farm 12 a 3 star is due to customer service. Our waitress was not very friendly, and seemed to be rushing everything. One friend ordered a salad which came out while we were still ordering. Without being asked, the waitress brought out the birthday cupcake pre lit while we were still eating dinner. This was a big dissapointment. Birthdays come once a year and people choose to go to dinner to relax, enjoy, and celebrate. I felt rushed and just not appreciated at all- so this was a BIG disapointment. As I mentioned above I will be back to try the food one more time, and I am hoping the management can lock in their employees. If this is the general way the establishment treats customers then I am confused as to how this place is so popular. I regret that request because then the omelet became a short rib omelet. There was very little mushroom in the omelet which was extremely disappointing. The ambiance was upscale, but also down to earth. The food was fantastic. Definitely try the truffle fries! Had Krista's cocktail and I could have drank 4 of them, they were so good! The service was solid, no complaints. Between the chuck eye French dip and the cowboy burger, the French dip was the clear winner. The burger was ordered medium rare and arrived medium well, at best. But, we were so hungry we didn't even consider sending it back. We will be back for another French dip, and a chance to try desserts! If the burger was cooked to order and didn't seem dry but juicy at the same time, it would be 5 stars. Farm 12 is still that girl! Happy to know since we brought a group of 15 here for my mom's birthday last night. Food was excellent as usual. I love the selections - from fresh salads and sandwiches to pasta and steak frites. I got the tomato basil pasta for the first time, which came with a large rigatoni and a generous helping of burrata cheese. The sauce was creamy and red; the type I'd love to dip bread in! IF ONLY the bread basket (which we bought 4 of) came with more than 3 rolls Service was good. We had apps, plenty of drinks etc. and our server did a great job getting it all out. The kitchen was very slow, however, and I've noticed this before at other visits in groups larger than 4. I think they tend to make the smaller groups first. A family of 3 behind us came, ate, and left all while we were waiting for our meals... So that was tough. Our reservation was for 6pm and we didn't get meals until 7:45. Kids were hungry, but thankfully well behaved *Also, note that for birthdays they do NOT allow outside cakes. I wrote in our reservation note that we planned on bringing a cake, heard nothing, and then told we couldn't present it. A beautiful $120 custom cake had to stay in the box - and I brought plates, forks, the knife to slice it, and the lighter! Farm 12 had been on my "to try" list for the longest time and I finally had a chance to try it out. Getting there- it's in the middle of what feels like nowhere but the building its in is cute! There's another small cafe next door which can be confusing especially if you park where the gps tells you and it's on the opposite side from the restaurant entrance. The wait - the waitlist was pretty close on timing; however, for some reason when there were only 2 tables ahead of us, more people with similar party size to us were seated first, even though they arrived 10-20 minutes after us and the list didn't actually move. I asked about our wait since the app said there was no wait and they said they'd call us. This is the reason for the decrease in stars from 4 to 3. The way they call people is also not very organized when it's busy because it's difficult to hear unless you're watching and waiting close by. If you're hard of hearing give someone else's name so they can listen. The food - as someone who eats gluten free, there were some delicious options. The stars of the meal I think were the yogurt and the croissant cinnamon roll with maple bacon (not gluten free - but family loved this). I've been coming to Farm 12 for years but didn't realize I've never actually left a review. The did some re-arranging of the tables and hostess area so it seems a little bigger now. That could also just be in my head. Usually there's a long wait but the last time we stopped in we were seated right away. They have awesome pastries here and the food is pretty good. Though the menu seems to have been slimmed down and the chicken fried steak is just so-so. The gravy has some herbal medicine taste to it that doesn't agree with my palette. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Have not had a bad experience here, ever. The tip scales were 18, 20, and 22%. What happened to 15%? This irritated me so I tipped 18%. That should be $5.75, and should have made my bill total $37.71. The fish was cod and I can't say I was blown away but pretty good nevertheless. The cocktail were too sweet. Yeah I get that it's largely american place and you can argue cocktail would be sweet but I think it should still not be a syrupy sweet. Well debatable. Otherwise folks in my group enjoyed their food too. Salad was amazing from what I heard and sandwich was decent - depends on your tastebuds. But I can assure you their ingredients are top notch. So, it's definitely possible that because this place was SO talked up that I was disappointed at the overall outcome. While it wasn't a bad experience, I was expecting a lot more than what we got. To start off, the ambiance is great! The feeling of being in a renovated farm space is lovely and they nailed it. The seats themselves (booth) were comfy, everything is VERY clean, and the walk around the ground afterward was nice. The food itself wasn't memorable. It was an omelette, no incredible flavors or experiences to report there, in spite of being told how amazing the food is. My potatoes were a little undercooked and mushy. It felt very much like a breakfast I could have made at home in less time and with a lot less expense. Also, their coffee was so-so, again in spite of being told how yummy their black coffee is. I was sad to be disappointed. I wanted to love it. The service was also nothing to write home about. It was ok. She took our order, checked in once a while after our food had been delivered, refilled my coffee cup once, and brought us our check (which is done on your phone so there's not really any additional interaction there). We got there right at opening, so she was swamped with tables, making it very challenging to have time to actually offer anything more than the bare minimum of customer service. I would go back if a friend planned a meal or event here, but I cannot not say I'll be going out of my way to eat here (it's very out of my way haha)... thanks for the meal, Farm 12! Farm 12 has been on our list to try and they definitely are pretty good. Went on a late Friday afternoon and it was busy. We had a reservation, but they seated others before us. We had reserved for outside, but outside was already taken and it is first come first serve. We ordered a Farmers Salad as our appetizer. Generous with each condiment listed for the salad. Tasted great. For entrees, I ordered the Pan Seared Salmon while my husband ordered the Beer Battered Fish Fry. Salmon was crisp uptop and well cooked in the middle to bottom. Fish Fry was a little perfectly burnt, not overly crisped. Even though we were there 30 minutes past closing time, there were still a ton of people still dining and enjoying their date/company. The waitress there did say that dessert was starting to get sold out near the end of the night, so be prepared. Overall, we will come back again! read more

The wait to eat was a little long 40 mins just a lot of people know the food is worth it. It has a cool vibe indoors and outdoor seating during the summer. Shared the charcuterie board with others and it was amazing. Wagyu beef shaved with the spiced grapes, the tomato jam, the cheeses, very well crafted and good flavors. Had a salad for lunch it was also very good. I didn't see anything coming out of the kitchen that wasn't anything less than fantastic looking! We and friends had a wonderful brunch meal yesterday Sunday. The drinks others had got good reviews. My hot tea was perfect...strong, flavorful and hot with a good taste due to good quality bags. 2 had the Chicken Fried Steak and I got a taste and it was quite good. We're from Texas and we know chicken fried steak. One got a sandwich that he loved but I didn't pay attention what it was. We passed around my order of Bananas Foster Pancakes...no liquor and all enjoyed these as well. The server was courteous and top notch. Considering it was totally full, the food was served promptly.
