She was passing gas repeatedly, laughing, and behaving in a way that was not only unprofessional but highly unsanitary and disrespectful. The massage itself was below average: inconsistent pressure, poor technique, and no attention to client comfort. I left feeling worse physically and genuinely disturbed by the lack of basic hygiene and professionalism. I had already seen neurosurgeons and doctors, and I was told that my options were surgery, burning the nerves, or learning to live with chronic pain. I am 50 years old, and at that point my world felt like it had completely fallen apart. I could not bend, drive, walk normally, sit, or stand without severe pain. My daily life was controlled by constant pain and electric shock-like sensations through my nervous system. I cried all the time because I felt hopeless and did not know what else to do. I went to Gary's office after someone recommended him to me, and I can honestly say he was a blessing in my life. After the very first session, I was able to walk with some discomfort, but without the same chronic pain I had been living with. Yesterday my mom, my uncle and I wanted to go do some self care since we just moved from Colorado to Florida 14 days ago. I called 6 nail salons and none could accommodate us at the same time, totally understand. I called joy nails and they were so kind right off the bat and got us in within 30 minutes. The salon itself was beautiful and the atmosphere was so positive. The lady next to us was a returning customer as well and the banter with David was just hilarious. We requested a pedi for my uncle (his first time and he seemed to enjoy it!) My mom and I got fresh sets. I requested a new gel x set which meant soaking off my old set, then starting a fresh one. Because I had indents in my nails due to the previous set I got in Colorado, he told me it wouldn't be safe to do gel x and acrylic would be better. He executed my French tip perfectly and his wife did my mom's flower cat eye better than anyone she's ever been to. David also made a very good point, I'm in Florida now so nails are better. However, it wasn't just that, spending money and an hour of your time somewhere can be really hard sometimes and they were great people to be around. I had a great experience, thank you so much!
