Yesterday, my husband and I decided to go to Silver Diner. My children absolutely love the…read morerestaurant, and the service is always great. Even though it was pretty busy, we were seated immediately, and I was especially grateful to be seated in a quieter corner where the tables were more to the side instead of directly behind us. It was a stressful moment because my autistic son was having a really hard time and was clearly overwhelmed. Our server was wonderful, but the manager, Joy, was truly an angel sent at the perfect time. Not only did she remember our family from a previous visit, but after we explained that our son is autistic and was struggling in the moment, she immediately went to the back and returned with markers, paper, gemstone stickers, a timer, and more -- almost like she was fully prepared for children with sensory needs. I honestly can't express how much that meant to us. Her timing couldn't have been better, and we will forever be grateful for her kindness and compassion. On top of that, when my food came out, my steak wasn't cooked the way I requested. I honestly wasn't even planning to say anything, but Joy noticed I wasn't eating it and asked how I had ordered it cooked. When I explained, she kindly offered to remove it from the check. Managers like Joy are rare and so deeply appreciated. The food was great, but truthfully, Joy is what made this experience unforgettable. You can tell she's not only an amazing manager, but also a genuinely good person with a caring heart. Thank you, Joy, for making such a lasting impression on our family. Silver Diner is lucky to have you!

Ok, we are regulars here! The food and service is just fantastic!…read more We continue to find seating at the counter the quickest way to be seated if they are busy. Case in point... Mother's Day was super crowded but we were able to quickly get seats at the counter. Plus at the counter there are several servers walking by that will help if you need anything. Big kudos to Theresa and Sarah who are always attentive and super friendly. Our favorites have been the Western omelette with pepper jack cheese. The fresh ingredients, including onions and bell peppers are just delicious. Definitely get the biscuit and home fries. We think the biscuits are made at the diner. The crab melt is another favorite. It's well balanced with the filling and crab. You will not go wrong with this dish.

Friendly hosts greeted us and find us a seat on a late Sunday afternoon. Nice day gave us the option of courtyard seating or indoor cottage seating. Pleasant service team, great food and a wonderful cottage atmosphere makes this place a great place to stop for brunch. Korean BBQ Short Rib sandwich is a newer menu item. Flavorful, lots of rib meat filling and bread grilled nice and crunchy. It's delicious. Berry Almond French Toast is very good. If you have a sweet tooth for brunch, then do not miss this dish. Steak & cheese melt is a staple on this menu. Filled with nicely seasoned steak, grilled onions and a blend of cheese makes this dish a hearty brunch meal. From the host to the service team, everyone is very efficient and friendly. Pro Tip: use the Yelp waitlist feature on busy days.

I had heard the quality had gone down since the Evan's family sold the business and I can confirm.. This is not the Bob Evan's I remember. Walking in, there is no obvious host stand, I stand by the checkout looking around and finally someone asks me if I want to eat in and i say yes. Walking into this Bob Evan's, which was my first time, I liked the design and decor, Bob Evan's use to have a counter you could sit at and eat, and this one does not have one. Not sure if they got rid of that in all restaurants but it gave Bob Evan's some old time charm... The menu is totally different, and took a while for me to take in, to see what they offered, if they still had my favorites, which I was happy to see they did. My server, Robin was sort of nice but sort of pushy. Kept asking me if I was ready when I said I was still looking like 3 times in under 5 minutes. Sure on one hand that's nice, but I wanted to sit there, take it in and relax. I dropped my daughter off at school and wanted to take my time and enjoy my first visit to Bob Evan's in years. I ordered hotcakes and bacon and asked for biscuits. Biscuits here were ALWAYS amazing. I can't remember one time I had a really bad biscuit here. They were always thick and fluffy and oh so good. The pancakes I always remembered them as big pancakes. They were fluffy pancakes, and took up the entire plate. And what's what they show you on the menu. Bacon always tasted fresh cooked. I got my pancakes and bacon. And no biscuits. Which I reminded them I asked for biscuits and they got them for me. No problem, mistakes happen. But again the Bob Evan's of the old, biscuits were the first thing you got, not an afterthought. I looked at these, umm biscuits and wondered if they had a sponsorship with the NHL. These looked like they could be certified as hockey pucks. Stabbing my fork in them to split them, there was no fluffiness to them. I put butter on them and besides looking like hockey pucks, I could tell they had been sitting under a hot lamp for what seems like hours... I could not eat both of them, they were so dry and chewy and had no redeeming quality to them. Next bacon... yummm.. well... Not so much. The bacon was not under any sort of hot lamp or container to help keep it warm, the three slices of bacon, where meaty and had decent flavor but again they were cooked hours ago. I came at 11am, which yes is close to lunch time but come one. I mean come on.. This is a SIT DOWN RESTAURANT. People come to sit down restaurants expecting FRESH COOKED food. Not stuff that is cooked hours in advance for speed and cutting corners to save money. Last. Pancakes... Looking forward to a plate full of pancakes and what I got, when I first saw them, i thought I ordered a kids meal by mistake. They were small and thin. They had an ok taste, but not as I remembered and were chewy like the batter was over mixed. Cashing out, the guy who rung me out, first not once was I asked how was my food which kinda surprised be, but with the garbage they served me, I can understand why. But i will say he was very nice, talked to me, made me feel welcome and we had a few laughs and he did. Thank me for coming in. This is a perfect example of of someone of a family business's being acquired by another company and make changes that ruin something that use to be good. Attached are photos of my NHL hockey pucks and pictures of the pancakes I got as well as a reference photo from Bob Evan's website showing what they expect you to be getting.

Tried them again and shouldn't have!…read more The kitchen staff at this place is substandard! They don't prepare food well & their to go order bags are packed abysmally. Do U even have an EXPO on duty?! Do they check orders as they leave the kitchen?! I ordered a FAMILY SIZED Cesar salad and got a salad for 1! I ordered 2 dressings & got 1!!! I have photos of the salad! They are supposed to use the bigger round bowl for family sized salads! This rectangle bowl is much smaller. And, they didn't pack it nearly full of romaine! Much of the romaine that is in the bowl is discolored & bad! I am beyond dissatisfied. I'm angry. This is NOT even close for a $35 salad! We need more romaine & more dressing! I have stupidly spent far too much at this place. Corporate needs to get involved. Every time we order, the bag is way over packed -- ever think of using 2 or more bags?! -- and liquids are NEVER secured! I have experienced countless deliveries with soup, salad dressing & the oil for bread turned upside down, pouring out of the bottom & bottom side of the bags! My Uber driver even told them tonite to make sure the bag was assembled correctly. They added 4 staples at the top of the bag!!! How is that going to help my delivery?! Are U serious?! One of the managers, Alex, is nice. But, our deliveries are still arriving WRONG! He drove to deliver salad dressing once that was completely eliminated from my bag. We ordered the family size salads! And, I always order an extra bowl of dressing. Again tonite, I got just 1 bowl of dressing! Where's my second one?! And, where's the romaine?! The pricing is astronomical for these sloppy things to keep happening. Alex/other managers, U need to do 3 things: o Tell your staff to READ ORDERS before preparing them! (Why do they keep leaving out the 2 orders of salad dressing I order?! It happened again tonite.) o Tell your kitchen staff CONSISTENCY MATTERS! (Prepare decent sized portions & make sure portions are exactly the same per order!) NOTE: We got chicken & fries a few days ago & it was crazy! We ordered a bunch of them for the family. Two orders were acceptable -- they had a decent amount of chicken and fries. The other 3 orders were awful! There were barely any fries in them & the chicken was in tiny, little pieces. Another example, we ordered a focaccia loaf a couple days ago. It arrived warm & soft. Ordered 2 more tonite & it arrived cold and hard. What the frick is going on?! How hard is it for staff to execute their jobs professionally?! CONSISTENCY MATTERS! o Buy THICK CARDBOARD INSERTS to put in the bottom of delivery bags! I'm done having my soup, salad dressing & oil for bread leaking out of the bags! It gets all over the food items inside the bag, it gets on the Uber driver & in their cars. And, I'm out the proper amount of soup, salad dressing & oil that I ordered & paid for. Does any of this make sense?! If staff don't care -- it shows -- just close down the restaurant.
