Holy Portion sizes!! Was getting aome work done to my vehicle so i took a walk and came upon this place. Its in a strip mall right on the main drag but if you blink you'll miss it. The gentleman and lady working inside were super nice and promptly got to work on my order. After I ordered the catfish and fries, he told me the total was 21.99 which made me think it was a bit high but oh well. When he brought it to the table I understood why it was 22 bucks. There was so much food! I have been to so many other places that would charge double for the amount of food that they brought to me. It was freshly made to order, seasoned, and crispy, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Been looking around Woodbridge for a long time for some good fresh seafood cooked to order and can count on one hand how many I have found. Today I was in seafood heaven, you hear me, seafood heaven. I didn't want my eyes to bigger than my belly so I split a pound of jumbo shrimp and a pound of scallops with my co worker and we cause a huge sene in the office because a riot almost broke out because everyone wanted what we had...needless to say it was amazing. The shrimp was perfectly butterflied and seasoned with a corn meal and flour batter that was also breaded on the scallops. A bonus was they weighed the seafood right in front of me so I knew exactly how much I was getting...hats off to the young Chef in the back cooking. In addition to the seafood restaurant there is a franchise called Krispy Chicken that has some great honey biscuits that I tried and will have my belly pay the price later in the gym. If you're a seafood lover go in and get your stuff cooked to order and tell them the BBQMan has approved of this place. read more

This location remained unoccupied for a number of years and is now reopened under a new name and new ownership. The good: Attentive wait staff, varied fish selections (whiting, catfish, salmon, croaker), varied meal selections, fish fried to order, the Mac n cheese is delicious The not-so-good: while fish is fried to order, it's NOT seasoned. The sides are meh. I ordered green beans and they were straight out of a can, unseasoned. I'll give this spot another chance as I realize it's a new location. read more

I really wanted to like this place since I love supporting small business. Came to order carry out for dinner . The cashier lady was super sweet and really nice and she also give me coupon. The inside is typical fast food look similar to Popeyes or KFC. I order fried fish that was a tad on salty side and I love it salt but it was too salty . The side of mash potatoes tasted old and almost like is turn bad on the sour side . The corn was watery and soggy. I might come back just for the fish but not for the side . DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!! I wanted to like this place so bad but I just couldn't find anything to like besides the french fries that came with my croaker platter I ordered a croaker platter and 10 piece fried shrimp. The croaker fish looked nothing like any croaker I've ever seen. It tasted dry, flavorless, and I could still see scales on them WTF!! Shrimp was just ok but not the best...they could have had more flavor too. I didn't end up eating all my fish because it tasted terrible even with hot sauce on it. I'm not only rating this place so low because of the food in general but if you saw what I saw on the condiments you would have too. I knew something was fishy when the lady asked if I wanted any hot sauce and she told me to grab the bottle off the table while she walked away to get a small container to pour it in. The expiration date was from June 2018 on the hot sauce!!! I trashed that when I got home. Oh...the expiration date on the cocktail sauce December 2018...yeah that's only a lil over a month old but you are an establishment so throw your old stuff away so customers don't get sick! I smelled the tartar sauce and it smelled old so that got tossed in trash as well. Mad I wasted this money on the meal but I will be saving the leftover fries to eat with something else. Oh and I'll mix the leftover shrimp in with some grits in the morning. If you want to try this place that's on you but trust and believe there was NOBODY in there and now I know better! Hmmmm...went here based off wanting seafood, it's close proximity & a review I read on here. Ordered the fried catfish platter & a half pound order of fried shrimp. Sigh...to go in styrofoam containers. Which means the fish, shrimp & fries were quite soggy by the time I drove less than a half mile home. The shrimp was soggy & rubbery. And looked nothing like the other customer's review pics. The green beans were straight out of the can without a drop of seasoning...not even salt & pepper. The catfish was ok. The batter was seasoned just right. But the mustard I put on it helped a whole lot. Unfortunately the best part of my meal was the Pepsi. I am all about patronizing local eateries but goodness! You have to be at a minimum good for my repeat business. And I will not be returning here. On a positive note, the cashier was nice & patient with me as a new customer. read more

About one week ago, after having some auto work done, I passed R&B Seafood and its' atttractive signage outside got my instant attention as I was hungry and figured this place was as convenient as any and I had never eaten there before.... Before I proceed any further, how many times do we have to be reminded to listen to that inner voice or that gut feeling we encounter just before a purchase, ANY PURCHASE??? Well, I did the unforgivable and paid the price for it... When you enter, the door makes a little noise closing, so I should have been heard entering...as there were no customers inside....Also, there was no one at the counter.... I approached the counter and viewed the menu on an overhead sign....I was disappointed there were no printed menus for making easier selections instead of craining my neck....I stood there for about 2 minutes when a male customer entered....a minute later 2 employees came up front, with one giving the customer his order and he sat down to consume it.... My order consisted of the cajun fish, and the 3 piece crispy chicken and one small order of red beans and rice....fries and a biscuit were to be included... The male took my order in front of a register and proceeded to WRITE my selections down on a small pad....He then typed a few words into his register/computer and stood there for at least 2 minutes...I have no idea why but ASSUMED his computer was slow acting.... He offered me no apology for the slowness and continued to squint at his register...after about 2 more minutes he finally informed me of the cost... THAT WAS my signal to depart, but like most guys, I stayed the course, just like we do when we believe we are lost and someone tells us we are lost but don't listen to any advice... I was informed my order would be ready in about 15 minutes... When my order arrived, it was hot and shown to me for completeness... I arrived home about 15 minutes later and started eating...the fish first... Supposed to be CAJUN FISH, but had NO flavor whatsoever and lacked any sign of seasoning...for supposedly being cajun, very disappointing.. Moving on to the chicken...each piece looked great and was crunchy on the outside as it's menu noted....BUT it also was tasteless... I understand each franchise serving particularly fried chicken has their own signature flavor like KFC Popeye's and a few others and I didn't expect R&B to be in competition flavor wise but I did expect some type of signature flavor and detected none.... Also the chicken didn't have that chicken flavor to tell us it was chicken...I don't know if it was old since it didn't have an odor, but it was just tasteless....My fries were piping hot but as most know fries in a styrofoam container quickly turn limp unless you eat them within say 5 minutes or so and these turned out that way also.... I have to note the fries and chicken in the styrofoam container had a napkin over them with the lid closed....This created moisture and you could easily see it inside when opened, making those fries even soggier... The red beans and rice were also bland with no sign or taste of seasoning....How can you advertise red beans and rice and not season the beans...since the rice came in a separate container, how hard can that be???? My visit was on FRIDAY and I expected to see customers coming and going as it was around noon.....Another hint when I walked in but didn't heed.....After this debacle I was wondering why they don't box their food up like Popeye's and KFC which reduces greatly that moisture inside...also my styrofoam container was buckled because apparently they placed the chicken in it immediately, instead of letting it cool a little..and we all know how styrofam containers with food inside react to extreme heat.... For the record, there was supposed to be a biscuit included, which I was dying to sample as it was advertised and honey like with some other great feature that I forgot...Since It was missing, they could have been the greatest biscuits ever made and I was still out of luck...I will never know how great they might be because that was my first and LAST TRIP THERE....You have been warned!!!!!!! Oh, I ASSUMED my receipt would be inside my bag with the order.....NEED I SAY MORE??? Walked in with lot of expectations as we were visiting this place. While being seated the seat was dirty and we asked them to clean. Wiped the seat with wet towel leaving the seats wet and we asked to be seated at another place. They agreed but never came back to reseat us. We sat on the wet seat. Food was just warm and not hot. $15.00 for one crab cake is expensive. We had to ask for silverware after the food was served. Barely a 2 star. read more

Do not buy anything from this restaurant. The food is horrible. Ordered two Croaker Fish Dinners with onion rings and hush puppies. The food is not fresh at all. The fish was old and dry. The onion rings were hard and burnt and so were hush puppies. Did not eat food. Will be calling the restaurant when open. read more

Great customer service...very hospitable and gave me extras...Got the 4pc krispy krunchy chicken and a side of mac and cheese the chicken was fresh and delicious! This place was not good! Should have took warning from the disgruntled customers that wanted there money back. Ordered a 3 piece fish dinner with coleslaw and a biscuit. The fish looked like three kids size chicken tender. They were over cooked and extra crunchy like they had been cooked on old oil. The coleslaw was PINK and extra runny. The biscuit was hard like it has been sitting out all day. I wanted even get into the chicken meal that my wife order. At the end of the day I only put through about half of my meal before I had to toss it out and eat a turkey sandwich.
