24 mins for a breakfast sandwich on a weekday morning with just a few customers. In general the entire place is very slow.

Food just like grandma used to make. My favorite has to be the pot pie and the collards! You will not be disappointed.

They offered it with lettuce, tomato and mayo (bologna burger) but I couldn't imagine that. When dipped in the mustard sauce minus the bread it was just ok. They are still in the beginning stages and don't have a full menu of offerings yet. The service is fast, but depending on how many people order before you. I do see a lot of take out order (or pre-order (assuming)). The portion is about right. If you ask me what's the different between big franchise BBQ and local, I think it is the quality of service and time to cook. Depending on your perspective of BBQ, the prices are toward high end. There are many option on the menu, but maybe too many options. The full plates is over $30 with 1/2 lbs meat and two side dishes. Parking is easy to find. Overall great experience. I was hoping they have a brisket w/o the bun.

The beautiful modern dining room is spacious, warm, inviting, and modern! We were greeted immediately and we're told that we can sit at any table that we would like to! For our families that was huge, because we have an infant in comfortability is key! The food was hot and delicious and they even were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions! This restaurant is definitely a 10 out of 10 for food, atmosphere and service! I would highly recommend!

Theres plenty of parking and they have a small area for outside seating. As you walked in, there's plenty of seating, they have an open kitchen concept, a side room for special events or meetings (25 people capacity) but it's their mission that caught my interest as cashier/ hostess Lexi explains to me. This company spreads and provides charity catering throughout the community with multiple outlets. Lexi was very patient as she explains how the menu works. I ordered 3 items: 1) Loaded baked potato 2) Fried fish 3) Chicken and waffles. I just wanted to taste the baked potato without any protein on top. I don't know what it was that had an off taste, maybe the butter. The potato itself was soft topped with cheese, green onions and a little bland. The chicken and waffle were tasty. The fried chicken wasn't as crispy as I would like it but it was well seasoned and the waffle was soft. There are so many options for your sides. So for the fried fish, the appearance looks delicious but it was very thin and dry. Even with the tartar sauce it was still dry. I was really looking forward to it. The sides I selected were fries and hope cakes (which are sweet corn bread). Their beverages are on point, I got their lemonade and sweet tea. Lexi was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant is only opened on Fridays-Sundays for regular business but since they do multiple catering events, they are open 7 days a week. They also offer Sunday brunch between the hours of 9a-3p which the entire dining room is open with mocktail and coffee station. There isn't a buffet during the brunch but a la carte off the menu. I would make a return visit to try their brunch menu in the near future.

I chose lunch and order fried okra for an appetizer and a meatloaf lunch entree with 2 sides for my main. All delicious! The okras were fresh and fried nicely and came with a tasty sauce for dipping. The meatleaf came with my choice of mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The meatloaf was one of the better meatlofs I've had at a restaurant in recent memory. The sides were also very good, with the slaw being perfectly prepared. I had. O room for dessert but I might return for either their bread pudding or their banana pudding. Overall, good southern-style food, good service.

There was a woman (maybe a manager or owner) who walked around to every table asking if things were okay. My husband ordered the pasta with marinara (not realizing it came with cheese- he had to send it back, he does not do dairy or meat). They should note that cheese is on it on the menu. I ordered three chicken wings (they were oversized - not my preference), potato salad, black eyed peas and one piece of cornbread. The chicken lacked flavor. It was just big and kind of greasy. The sides were fine. Ordered a piece of sweet potato pie to go and that was fine. The jazz contained a lot of talking. It was nice when they started playing line dancing music and there was a small area to dance. The dancing wasn't offensive or in the way...it was just right. Then came more talking. And advertising of a cruise, etc. It was okay, but I wish they played more music than talking. The same night, the restaurant attempted to charge me for a missed reservation fee ($5 per person). Luckily, I keep my AMEX locked. Weird, I gave my name to the hostess upon check-in. Wonder if that's happened to others. All-in-all, it was an okay experience. Not opposed to trying the restaurant again, but not necessarily rushing to get there.

I was so disappointed. The catfish was awesome as usual. The brisket was good as well and the stuff potatoes and sides were equally good. I can make ribs at home better than that. I think Famous Dave's is even better. I had ribs from Ruby Tuesday the next night and they were by far more tender, fall of the bone tender with better flavor. My wife reminded me we didn't like the ribs 20 years ago but I had forgotten. What a shame. It was a $150 order and I threw away 2 orders of the ribs. Couldn't eat them. Sorry Dixie Bones, you need to do better with your ribs. - Thank you for responding to my review. I will keep that in mind about the ribs in the future. I appreciated the refund offer. So I've lived in the Dumfries/Woodbridge area for a while now. I attend church not far from this…read morerestaurant and on Sundays considered stopping for breakfast before service but never was able to make it due to the wait times being very long. So I decided this Saturday I'll finally stop in since my Saturday's have more time than Sundays. My son (18 months) and myself came in and were seated pretty quickly so I was excited. Service seemed to start very nice but that changed swiftly. When ordering for my son I asked if the kids pancakes come with eggs and a protein since it was $10 but I was told it's only the pancakes. That was new for me considering most places we go for breakfast always offer eggs and bacon or sausage with kids meals as well as a drink. Well the kid was hungry so pancakes alone it was lol . I put my order in the French toast with the $4 Upcharge to add turkey sausage and eggs. My food came out fairly quick but it made sense when I was presented with 1 piece of French toast , hash brown, eggs and the turkey sausage. Again I was surprised to receive only one piece of bread for a French toast entree which I assume would've cost $11 alone? Strange in my opinion. After finishing my food and the waiter coming to ask me if I'd like my check I inquired about my son's pancake. He states, " you didn't order a pancake" he quickly placed the order after I insisted I know I placed the order because I inquired about what came with the meal and I always order my sons food prior to ordering my own entree. I thankfully remembered I was on the phone with my sister when ordering and called her back to ask her if she remembered me ordering she confirmed what I ordered. I know I didn't need to call her but him saying I didn't ask for it just made me think maybe I was having mom brain lol . I think my final straw was seeing I was charged $4 for the eggs and then another $3.50 for turkey sausage. Anyways unfortunately I think there being other affordable breakfast options in the area with both good quality and a decent portion we won't be returning in the new future.
