I have been trying for about 2 months now to get reimbursed $25 for a parking charge at a condo we stayed at that should never have been charged. Amanda Wainwright is supposedly the "nerve center" for customer service but has been absolutely the worst to offer us status emails. Also known as Digital Vacation Quest - SCAMMERS DO NOT GO TO THEM. I met them at the Austin Bridal Expo and "won" a free trip but they want you to drive to san Antonio to sit through a presentation blah blah blah they will say they are not a time share but its basically the same thing. You have to pay for your seat of $20 which I paid and I was told I could get it back if I couldn't come. After coming home and researching I found horrible yelp reviews. I asked for my money back. Well the woman I worked with told me that I could contact her manager because she was limited on communication because she was pregnant. fine will I texted them both and I transposed the boss's number so the lady I worked with told me right away and so I resent the text. After asking for my money and they said it would be back the next day I followed up and the boss was like well did you send the last 4 of your cc and I said no I didn't realize you needed that, it would of be nice to know that yesterday. The girl I worked with texted me that she refused me but then I got a nasty text from the boss saying I was snippy in my text and I should really get my information together before demanding money back and do things properly and the I got the girls phone number wrong and basically told me I was an idiot because I don't know how to put correct phone numbers in a text. According to them they are not scammers because they gave me my $20 back we will see when it actually goes back into my account. They will ask you to pay all the money for your trip so don't believe them or waste your time sitting through their bull. I wish we could give Zero!! read more

My experience sounds like all the other 1 star reviews. A promise to reimburse your $20 fee to "hold your spot at the meeting" then after sitting through the blah blah blah we were ready to get our money back and head home. Only to receive a check instead of cash, which bounced when I deposited it in my bank!!! Then I was charged a $32 return fee, for a dad gum check that I didn't even write. This place is a boarder line scam. They offered us $20 deposit, and said they would give it back plus another $20, and they did. That's where the honesty stops. They also said they would give us $100 food vouchers, turned out to be just coupons you get in the mail, like buy a meal get a free drink ect... they also said they would give us a Cruz for two for free, that's only half true, again more like a coupon. You can go to Groupon and get the same deal. The lies at this place never stop, once you tell them no they take you to 3 different rooms, and 3 different people try to offer you a better deal till you sign their contract. If you know anything about travel you know you can get great vacation deals just like this being a Costco member. This place is living in the 90's and taking advantage of older people. After reading the reviews below I was a little wary about walking in but I didn't feel lied to. They started off the talk by saying it's a sales presentation and overall it wasn't a bad experience. My fiancé and I ended signing up but never felt pressured to do anything, obviously there was little bit of back and forth but again "sales presentation". That's to be expected, I held off on giving a review until after our first two trips and can now say that we do not regret our decision at all. It may not be for everybody but it helped me save money and at the end of the day, helped my family even if just a bit. read more

This is the worse place to do business. They are a scam. They offer for you to go on cruises but only up charge you on everything. I can pay for a cruise outright cheaper than them booking it. You have additional fees for everything and it is per person you take on the vacation. $300 here $200 there and oh there will be another $129 fee for setting up the vacation. I would give a negative rating if I could. Myself and a friend spun a prize wheel at a festival The booth was set up by Southern Journeys. They promised a gift card and a free vacation/cruise. We let them know that we had to do a 4 day/3 night max and it had to be Monday through Thursday due to the fact that my friend takes care of her elderly mother Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon. All we had to do was pick a date an go and listen to their Timeshare/membership 1 hour presentation. We did not have to sign up and the free prizes would be ours to use once the presentation was over without any membership. We drove almost an hour to the presentation sat through almost 3 hours in a freezing room with a child. We signed all of the paperwork and received our booklet of information for the prizes. That was on October 29th, 2017. We went online to book our free cruise. First of all, the packages started at 5 days and also included air travel. I called Southern Journeys and explained that we were suppose to only do 4 days due to schedule limitations with my friend caring for her mother as well as the port was to be a local port out of Galveston since we would be traveling with a child. They did give us a different certificate # and voucher. We went back online to register the new voucher and to register the trip. We had to schedule 60 days out prior from the date we wanted to book for. We also had to pay the $198.00 fees prior to being able to even view the dates to be picked. We paid the $198.00 but then when looking at dates not a single month had a cruise that ran Monday through Thursday. They only do Thursday - Sunday. Which is exactly what we said at the time of the prize wheel and again at the presentation that we could not do and both times were assured that was not a problem. I called the travel company (954-525-1777) and they said that I would have to get with Southern Journeys since the offer made was through them and they could not make any changes to their vacations. I spoke to a customer service rep and they passed me to a manager who in turn supposedly passed me on to another manager. None of them were willing to make it right. I know that they offer various vacation spots for any time of the year to members so I asked them to fix this with one of those vacations since we were all given wrong information. We held up our part and they should do the same and make it right. I was told that those were only for members and they would not do that. I explained that I understood that but we did as promised and sat through the long presentation and that they needed to make it right. We had booked this for a family Spring Break trip and now we are left with no vacation plans for Spring Break. The manager then basically called me a liar and said that their representatives would never tell anyone that they could have Monday through Thursday as their travel dates. She then told me that I was not a member and so it did not matter then hung up. We also still have not received the free gift card. I was told that it was just now mailed on Monday, 1/29 and will take "approximately" 7- 10 business days. I guess we will see if they uphold that promise but not holding my breath. read more

Scam business. Even if you are just going to say "no" and collect your free gifts, even the free gifts are a scam! The promise of a $100 dining certificate ended up being worthless dining coupons. The account number and password we were given to access our dining coupons did not work. The promise of 2 free airline tickets and 2 nights in a hotel was also a lie. The paperwork, when you read the fine print, puts the entire financial responsibility of the flights and hotels on the traveler. Eeks, run from this place! They are not truthful. read more
