Fried Chicken with OX Tails, Mac n cheese, the best greens I've had in a long time.

We drove a few hours to go to Rainbow Springs State Park, they were not letting anyone in due to they were fully booked, so we we're looking for amazing food and boy did we find it! We we're welcome by a beautiful young land working there and the food look and smell amazing! Me and my family ordered the meat loaf and fried chicken, we had also the OX Tails with Rice which was delicious and my 1st OMG thus is worth just the drive for this food! 5 star food and I have travel all over the US from Florida to Alaska to Hawaii this was the best Souls food I've had! We will be back

Beautiful lady cooks the best "southern" food you ever had. I could eat there every day and worth the 22 mi drive. Be early, before she sells out of...not saying, it's the best I ever had, and I am 79. So glad I noticed this tiny place. Only open for a few hours and not every day.

Ox tail spinach and Mac n Cheese

The food is amazing. The flavor is on point. This little hole in the wall is a true diamond in the ruff. I had the oxtail, spinach, and Mac n Cheese. Make sure you get yourself some Mac n Cheese it's a must have. If you need yourself some comfort food this is it. I can't wait to introduce this place to my Foodie friends. Service is super fast the food is precooked so I was eating with in 2 minutes.

Fried pork chops, rice okra and tomatoes. Macaroni and cheese

Food was absolutely amazing. The service was great and the owner herself was very nice and gave good recommendations. The overall experience was very great. The drinks and cake is a must try!

Food her made me thing my Granny was back in the kitchen. I had the fried chicken and hubs had the pork chop. Everything was really good. Lots of choices for your sides and fresh hot cornbread. We also had the peach lemonade and it was yummy. When you walk in you go to the counter to see what's on the menu. They fill your plate and you sit down and chow down. Come hungry. The desserts looked amazing we got a slice of strawberry cake but it's going home with us because we are too full. Highly recommend. Inside is very small but cute. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Cute little place- in the heart of town. Amazing food like your grandma made. Food made with love and served with a smile. Everything was very clean. Definitely will be back. The service match the food quality- FIVE STARS plus more.

Took the family tubbing at Rainbow River and saw a 5 * review for fried chicken and it is better then I expected. It was so hard to pick between the fried chicken, meatloaf and smothered chicken. I got the meatloaf and it was so flavorful. The gravy on the mash was divine! The max n cheese is exactly what you think of for southern mac and cheese. It could be the best I ever ate! The owner is a lovely lady and very nice.

They are also on Yelp and Facebook. All food and meats comes from local Farmers. Their Pork chop is large and the Southern Fried chicken is outstanding. They have a different menu each day to choose from. The menu is posted on line. Mac and cheese was the best we have ever had. Large selection of vegetables to choose from. Today they also had roast beef and oxtail. Lots of takeout business. Very small inside eating area. The owners are very friendly and down to earth people and food outstanding. This makes you want to come back. Open Wednesday thru Sunday 11-4

If you like home cooked food and don't want to do the local basic fried food spots nearby then you Have to go here. My boyfriend and I drove up for kayaking nearby and we found this little gem on yelp and we've gone to some of the other more touristy spots but didn't want more bar food type food. My boyfriend got the fried chicken which he is super picky about and it was so good he barely breathed and he LOVED the mashed potatoes. This guy seriously gets mashed potatoes everywhere we go and said over and over joe these were the best he's ever had. He loved the field peas too and said most places can't cook them right and was a little hesitant to get them and was soooo happy that he did. The sweet potatoes were perfect and not overly sweet at all. He even said he would marry her lol and I couldn't disagree because no way can I cook like that and we don't have anywhere close like this. I got the smothered chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and Mac and cheese. Every single thing was so freaken good that I can't even describe how tasty It was. We even got two more plates to go (ate the first there) and extra sides because we live in Tampa and don't know how soon we can come back. Have you ever eaten at a restaurant and thought it was so good you needed two more entrees to go? This was that place. If you read some of the news articles on the wall about the owner and how wonderful of a cook she is then you will see why this place is legit. If you're out of town venturing here then I employee you to try something new and unique.

Fried chicken was really tasty with a perfect crunch and juicy chicken. The fried catfish was breaded with cornmeal, perfectly crispy, also well seasoned and very moist and tender inside. The tartar sauce was homemade and very good but they also have a good peppered vinegar. Between us all we had an opportunity to try a lot of sides. Hush puppies which one of our hush puppy lovers said was the best she ever had (I'm not a fan of these overall so I can't really say). The potato salad was very good, creamy, with just a hint of onion and relish. Baked potatoes and sweet potatoes were enjoyed by all. Loved the crispy okra and green beans. Collard greens were also good. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying the pies. Caramel apple walnut was a little too nutty for me but it was still good. They key lime was my personal fave -- the crust was a good crumbly graham cracker that was definitely home made. We also had a lemon meringue and the chocolate coconut cream pie, which was essentially a half and half with chocolate cream and the bottom and coconut cream on the top. Both had beautiful, moist meringues with nicely toasted tops. On top of good food, we had a great waitress who was super attentive and very patient and friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and looking for some nostalgic, good southern comfort food.
