We purchased our new camper after looking for that perfect one for sometime. The buying experience we had at Southern RV. Jason Zellner, our salesman, was great--helpful, not pushy, and spent all the time we needed him to spend showing us around and going through many different RV's. Brad, made the closing easy he took lots of time to go through the closing process with us and was knowledgeable with info related to the paperwork. The service staff, specifically Hunter, did an outstanding job preparing our trailer and going over everything with us. We had plenty of questions and he had all the answers. (I even asked him about going on our first camping trip in the new RV to make sure we were handling everything correctly, but I understood he gets that invite all the time. He declined.) The staff in the front reception and sales areas are super friendly and made you feel like you were part of the family (reminded us we get a discount when purchasing items there). The difference in picking an RV is picking a brand that stands behind what they built. This is our second Mobile Suite a 39DBRS3. From Prevost to the cheapest all have problems when they are new and that's why there is a warranty with all of them. It's how the warranty work is handled when it's not your dealer that tells about the brand. In the middle of a 70 day trip we had a factory recall on the braking system. I called DRV to check our serial number and we were in the group. Headed to the NC mountains with four stops and 700 miles of travel brakes are not something to worry about. DRV warranty immediately gave me three dealers to contact on our route. DRV next day aired the replacement parts to our campground in Florida and I called the dealers. Southern RV in Atlanta four miles from the campground we had already booked gave us an appointment a day before our booking to handle the problem. Every one treated us like we were their customer from start to finish. I recommend DRV and Southern RV to anyone who ask. My wife and I recently purchased a travel trailer at Southern RV, and we had a great experience. We had looked a lots of different dealerships and online listings, but with the help of Jason Zellner we found exactly what we were looking for. We were just looking around through the lot when Jason offered to help us. Once we told him what we were looking for he took us to the perfect trailer. Financing was made really easy and the whole buying experience was easy and pleasant. Also, I was given a walkthrough of my new trailer by Hunter. He was friendly and patient, but most of all he was very thorough. He took the time to show me every part of the trailer and how to operate and maintain it. He answered all of my questions, and I felt very confident by the time we were finished. We started our first trip that day and had a great time. They should be teaching industry "RV Training Classes: Customer Service!" Absolutely the BEST customer service I've ever experience regarding my RV. I called on a Saturday afternoon (around 3 pm), and the parts manager stayed on the phone with me for over an hour, trying to identify an awning part for my JayFlight. Wow, who does that, (these days)! Then when I had to bring it is for service "Scottie" was/is simply AWESOME! She was very polite, professional, and made me feel WELCOMED! (Again) "Who does that, these days? LOL. I needed the get the unit for race weekend at AMS and wanted to bring it back the following Monday, because the parts were not in, and there was 1,000% NO PROBLEM with my request, as I was greeted with a smile, when I asked if this was possible. After researching a number of agencies...trying to find a RV screen door slide...I stopped at the parts department of Southern RV. I linked up with the hardest working parts person in the RV business...Ms. Lori Sullivan. She committed to finding me the part, kept in touch and was totally successful. She was absolutely wonderful in every aspect of her job...dedicated and I think she is one of those individuals who will not take no for any answer. I've had a lot of experiences with RV dealerships and this one proves to be the most conclusive and helpful. They are a one stop store with every need you could imagine. They have a genuine family business and treat you as if you are a member or neighbor. Their prices are very fair and they stock a lot of items. They don't seem to have a lot of change with employees and communicate very clearly. I'm leaving this review because i just read the previous negative review and it seems fake. I've worked with Southern RV and their neighbor Brown's RV for close to ten years. Its always been a great experience and they truly seem ethical. I wouldn't judge this family from the past review. We had interacted with several RV dealerships in attempting to get body work completed on our trailer. Scottie's professionalism, expertise and attention to our needs, helped us to make the decision to use Southern RV. I only HAD one complaint and when I talked to Christy in service she made It so much better. Nothing is perfect but when dealing with nice people and you talk to them nice it works out. Southern RV was not our first dealership we had in mind to buy our new TT but they ended up having the layout we were looking for. Mark Harper was the salesman we purchased with and he was friendly, no pressure and knowledgeable about the products they sell. They couldn't really negotiate on the pricing due to limited inventory and while the price we paid was a tiny bit more than I wanted, I felt overall it was fair. I needed a light cover replaced in my TT so I decided to call Southern RV since they were closer and I honestly didn't want to deal with the original dealership I purchased from due to terrible customer service. I spoke with Christy, told her what I needed and I had the replaced cover the same day. They are very easy to work with and the customer service was top notch, even just for a $10 light cover. I bought my Fifth Wheel in March 2021. Had a problem not being able to empty gray water tank while camping. Called dealer and they told me to stop by on my way home. I stopped by and they had to take my RV into the bay but they got the valve unfrozen and emptied the tank. Took about an hour and half to trouble shoot and fix. Still waiting for additions on body damage from insurance company. Hoping it will be resolved sooner than later. Scottie also uncovered some warranty issues for us.
