She had told me that the prices were way CHEAPER compared to the resorts in the area and the quality was outstanding. I decided to book my mom a spa day for her birthday and I figured I would throw something in for myself. Seeing how I have never done anything like this before and the prices were so outstanding! I booked a manicure and pedicure, an eye brow and lip wax, and a 60 min Anti-Aging facial for my mom. For myself, I booked a 50 min back facial. Once we arrived I had a million questions about my skin. Amanda knew every single answer and more. Once I got back to the facial room there was very relaxing music playing and candles were lit. It was such a RELAXING atmosphere. I laid on the table and got a massage/back facial that after 25 minutes or so, I ended up falling asleep, because it was so RELAXING!!!! It was then my mothers turn. After 60 minutes she came out RAVING about how amazingly SMOOTH and SOFT her skin felt. My mom had always complained about how she was developing wrinkles around her eyes and on her forehead. They seemed to be diminished in just 60 minutes! My mother also got her eye and lip waxed and she said the wax she used didn't even feel like wax, and it didn't hurt at all. Needless to say, my mom and I ENJOYED our day at the spa. Girl that started my hair was instantly annoyed. She only took 25 minutes on my medium/long hair for a bridal updo. I told her that my nail doesn't hold curl when it's curled with a clamp iron and does much better with a wand. She then tells me she doesn't even know how to use a wand, despite her saying she's been in the business for 2 years. She rushed through my hair and gives me a mirror. It looks like I could have done it myself only, I could have done better. She is even more annoyed now and calls another stylist over who promptly starts undoing her half hearted attempt. The second stylist then achieves the style I requested but nothing more is done about the limp, half curled hair that is left down around my shoulders. I am then rushed over to the make up station as so the girl who fixed my hair could work on the bride's. Make up gal was AMAZING and the ONLY reason this review gets 3 stars. She was so friendly, knowledgable and really did a fantastic job on both my makeup and the bride's. We both also purchased false lashes and they looked great. Would highly recommend for wedding make up. Stylist who fixed my hair and did the bride's was very talented but definitely needs to work on a bit friendlier attitude. I don't know if the stylists are always that rude or if it was because of the miscommunication about the location. The scrub itself was fine, but afterward I was told to shower and that the moisturizer application normally done after the scrub would be skipped since I was scheduled for a massage next. The massage ended up being one of the worst I've ever had. The therapist smelled strongly of cigarettes and was breathing heavily throughout the entire service, which made it very difficult to relax. I was also never turned over during the massage, meaning the entire front side of my body was never worked on, so actually no moisturizer was applied to the front side of my body. During my facial I was told it would include a scalp massage, neck and shoulder massage, and hand/arm massage. Unfortunately, the arm and hand massage was never done. Considering the amount of money spent, the services felt incomplete and the overall experience was mediocre at best. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added, which is frustrating when the services themselves were not fully delivered. I really wanted this to be a highlight of our girls' weekend, but unfortunately my experience fell far short of expectations.

She couldn't tell me anything about the products as far as what the benefits were or what was put in them. She did not explain anything she was putting on my face, so I had to ask her. After she finished the first step, I asked her what it was, and she said "oh, the oil?" as if it was a question. She followed by a mask which she didn't tell me anything about. So I asked her what she was applying and she said 'oh this is the mask'. I got the feeling she uses the same mask for everyone and didn't even know what it was. I wanted to know why she picked that particular mask for my face and what the benefits were, and she couldn't tell me. Furthermore, she didn't apply either of the products to my whole face. My nose was not covered with product at all, not even cleanser, and the rest of my face was sporadically covered. I had added on an eye treatment, thinking that I would get some kind of cream or mask of some type. Instead, it was one of those gel pads in a foil wrapper like you get from the cheap aisle at T.J. Maxx. She opened only two, which she put under my eyes, then when I asked about it, she opened another two for the tops. She of course charged me for the second set, $50 for this treatment that did absolutely nothing. So I got nothing put on my eyes in the way of product even though I paid extra for the eye treatment add-on x 2. Lastly, this was supposed to be a hydra steam facial, however the steam machine was placed so far away from my face that I didn't feel it one single bit. My face felt horrible afterwards and I couldn't wait to get home and wash it. My massage was okay, but For a 90 minute full body treatment, I expect to get the glute muscles done or at least to be asked if I want them done, but they weren't. Still, the rest of the massage was okay. The kicker that topped off the bad experience was upon checking out, I was not told that gratuity was included in the price. I left a $50 tip, even though I was not happy with the experience, because I do believe in tipping well for the effort. I was super peeved upon leaving when my friend that I was with asked me why I left an extra tip and that's when I found out that it was included. I feel it was very unethical of them not to tell me this. What a complete waste of over $400!!!!
