Your local beauty supply store in the Sevierville area, aside from mini shops and grocery stores that carry some supplies. I've been coming here for a while and the associates are helpful..sometimes. My recent trip to Ulta, I was looking for a specific skincare item. An Ulta associate has the same skin type as myself: dry, sensitive & acne-prone. If you have the skin type, you know how difficult it is to find products that won't irritate nor break out. She's was such a sweetheart and we chatted, asked me for the skincare routine--we have similar products we both use and I was excited to finally have someone who understood! Ifykyk :) I purchased it, tried it for a week and I was back at Ulta returning it. Unfortunately, it broke me out and I'm back to square one. My hunt haven't stopped, but I want to say even tho, having similar skin types, products may or may not work depending on how your skin reacts. Ulta, if you're reading this. Please expand your inventory here like you have at your other locations with larger populations. I understand Sevier is small, but it's growing. I hope you grow your inventory. When they first opened this place was real customer oriented, but sadly this has gone down hill! I was looking for a nice hair cover for my mom who is loosing her hair from chemo...there was one leopard print but the fairly large display had no selection, and lots of bare spots. Not a employee in sight to help! I went to this store on the simple fact that my daughter shops here , and I needed to get out of house my mother passed away 7 days ago at home it's been really hard on me . I thought I would come to Ulta to pick my daughter up some things she uses for Christmas I walked in wasn't greeted I kinda let that slide Then there was a cashier walking by like she didn't even see me so I stopped her and ask if she could help me she said to me what for ? I went ahead and ask her anyway even though she couldn't care less . I just needed to know what compact color I daughter uses she replied to me I don't know what you're talking about this young girl gave me hell the whole time I should've left the store wasn't welcomed she had to ring me out and everything I ask her was a no ! I spent over $350.00 didn't even get a thank you !!! Im seriously thinking about taking a lot of my stuff back ! They already are 'always' overpriced and they depend on you using a coupon, which may make what you buy somewhat reasonably close to prices elsewhere. They have a lot of great products in the store. The store seems understaffed. I didn't know who actually worked at their store here. It's odd to me that employees don't have name tags . I felt like I was bothering the employees when I had any questions. This is why People like me have been going to Amazon.com & avoid these type of places . One lady who was working in the makeup area unenthusiastically asked me if I was finding things ok. These big box places are poorly managed. Whomever is managing this store needs to make the employees happier & make sure guests are being helped. Get new upper management too! You are welcome. read more

I'm visiting from Florida and have been wanting to cut my hair short for the summer. I took a gamble and went to Ulta where Rachel Lewis cut my hair. Oh my gosh! I cannot believe how great it came out! We took off about 4 inches and I was worried since I haven't had short hair in over 10 years. She also styled it with a curling iron and took the time to show me how to do it so I can mimic at home. She's got a great personality, very positive and my convo with her just added to how great I felt after leaving there.. Mentally and physically. Thank you Rachel! See you soon when I come back! Stopped here today for a brow pencil. The black haired lady in her fifties ( she told me her age after a comment I made). She was so helpful. I walked out with much more than brow pencil. Am so pleased with the products I asked about and the ones she recommended for my age, skin type and skin color. From Indiana and come to the Smokies at couple of times a year. I went into this location at about 4:00 on a Monday because I had a 20% off coupon that worked on everything in the store, including Prestige brands. Clearly the employees were bored because I was asked about 10 times in 20 minutes what I was looking for and if I needed anything. I felt like I was being watched more than them genuinely wanting to assist me. The whole time I walked around the prestige brands I felt like one of the girls was following and watching me, which I did not appreciate. Not only that, but there were 3 employees standing around talking badly about other employees of Ulta. I basically know that one of the employees life stories just from walking through the aisles. It made me so uncomfortable that I just grabbed one lipstick from Urban Decay and made my way over to the drugstore brands to browse just so I didn't have to listen to them and feel like I was being watched. The girl at the cash register was very friendly and even complimented the lipstick shade that I chose. She is the reason that this review got 2 instead of 1 Star. read more

The selection is expanding and I'm happy about that. The employees seem more helpful than on previous visits. They still need to fix the wait times though. Checking out is a pain. I moved to this area at the end of last year. In my search for a hairstylist I was fortunate enough to meet Brandon. I cannot believe my good fortune. Ladies and gentlemen, you know that hair and a new stylist can be a bit stressful. However, Brandon quieted those fears upon our first meeting. He is very knowledgeable, current on the latest and greatest, and amazingly talented. A true hairstylist is an artist, Brandon is an artist! I cannot recommend him enough! If his schedule cannot accommodate your time constraints, I have watched the other stylists at Ulta do their thing. They are a fantastic group you can't go wrong with any of the ladies. Had a 5 o'clock appointment and waited 30 minutes past 5 for her to get done with someone else and she still had yet to even acknowledge that I was waiting. Finally the lady leaves and she takes a walk in customer before me since she knew her. So I obviously got mad and left. Keep in mind I've known this girl for like 6 years.
