Came in late afternoon on a weekday because I must have driven through a hidden construction site or something somewhere (punctured two tires with nails, but no clue where or when), but because of the punctures, it led to the sides of one of the tires being shaved. I had a long drive the next day and they were easily able to fit me in, answer all my questions, and help me out of the jam. Prices for parts and labor reasonable. Not only is Mark amazing, kind, knowledgeable, professional, and informative, the staffers are as well. They are honest and offer excellent feedback. You can save tons of money consulting them first. Took my truck to the dealer and was told I had nails in both back tires that would need to be replaced based on the location. I refused and took it to ST, they were able to simply pluck one nail lose and the other one was plugged. Saved me $1200. That was in 2016 and I've been using them faithfully every since. Recently my needed additional work, once completed, I something else went wrong, I returned and they said it was still under their warranty and repaired it immediately. I found Southern Tire & Auto Centers through Google and Yelp searches. It was their 4.5 star review that made me give them a try. I called to make and appointment for a tire check and was told tire service was walk-in. Great, I could fit it into my schedule whenever I was down that way. I walked in and my first impression was it's clean, spacious, and the A&C is working (it was almost 100 degrees outside). Justin immediately greeted me and asked how he could help. I told him I had a slow leak in one of my tires. He added me to the system (it was my first visit) and said they'd take a look. The waiting area was also clean with comfortable chairs and a TV. I wasn't even there 30 minutes before Justin called me up and said they'd found two nails in my tire and plugged it. 30 mins with no appointment and I was on my way! I told him how happy I was with the service and that I and my husband would definitely bring our cars there from now on. You see, it was not only the nice atmosphere but also the service, professionalism, and attention I saw them give the other customers who were there. They explained issues thoroughly, didn't try to up-sell anything, and let the customers know what services could wait and for how long. I even heard one service rep tell a customer she didn't need to get a new tire because it was still relatively new even though the customer was thinking she had to buy a tire. Now THIS is the type of auto service I've been looking for. Oh, and they plugged my tire for under $50. So if you're on the fence about this place, hop on off and walk on in. I went to NTB and Merchants tires for a tire repair, at 7am, and I was told there would be at least a 4 hour wait!?! I had a nail in my tire and needed a quick patch, after a quick yelp search I found southern tire and auto, they had me rolling within an hour. I needed two tires replaced because they had picked up nails. My car had approximately 12000 miles, so the other tires were still in good condition with plenty of tread. Southern Tire did not try to upsell with higher priced tires, and they didn't try to convince me that I needed all 4 tires replaced. Not only did they have competitive prices, but they had my car on the lift within 5 minutes. I was told it would be approximately one hour for the work to be done, so I went across the street to have lunch. I received a call 45 minutes later informing me that they were done! So Thankful!! We were in a bind after another shop was overcharging and telling us things needed replaced that didn't. I called they told me over the phone about how much to expect. They were HONEST! I don't mind paying if it needs to be done. Still spent a good amount, but I know that the repairs actually needed to be done, and with 4 tires included still beat the other shop by $500. First for the great customer service and that I'm not being overcharged for unnecessary work on my vehicle..Their wait time didn't take up half of my day and their work is excellent..They kindly answered any questions I had regarding the work I needed done and give reasonable estimates for any future work I need to take care of. As a woman I often wonder going into auto repair shops if I'm getting the short end of the stick because of not knowing as much about vehicle repairs as some the men but they put my mind at ease with explaining everything verbatim before and after any work done. Ordered two rear tires and alignment for my 2016 scat pack. Arrived today 11/6/2017 30 minutes early for my 2 pm appointment. Tires mounted and balanced pretty fast. Car sent to be aligned rear of shop. Alignment completed 45 minutes later. Sales clerk tells me my car is ready and I'll be ready to go in a few minutes. 30 minutes later I walk to garage window my car still on the lift. No one in the shop working on my vehicle. 15 more minutes same thing. Car on lift work complete I'm still waiting to pay and leave. 10 minutes later I go to the counter and ask what's the hold up I'd like to pay and leave. The tech sitting behind the counter storms out to the garage and I hear him say. Man take that piece of shit off the lift. I think that's funny because he was hating on my car. Funny until I watch this clown messing with my new rear passenger tire. His co worker pulls my car around. I go out and run a diagnostics check on my car. Wouldn't you know my rear new passenger tire is reading 50 psi. This ass hat blew my new tire pressure beyond the tires psi limit. I asked the sale clerk to come outside I tell her what I saw her worker do and show her my onboard tire pressure diagnostic reading. She had a different tech. Come out to double check the tire pressure. This guy she tells me has worked here 30 years. He has to release the air tire. But You know this lady made a boat load of excuses. Trying to convince me I didn't witness her other employee sabotaging my car. Needless to say I will never take any of my cars for any kind of service at Southern tire of waldorf. These clowns will sabotage your car and that move could caused me, my wife and or my kids harm. If I was driving on the highway and the rear tire blew. All because the garage tech was mad he had to do his job. Give me my car and allow me pay and leave. I paid damn near 500 bucks to have some lazy ass clown try to ruin my new car tire. Glad I have the onboard Diagnostics check capability on my car.... never going there again. Update: This incident occurred on 11.6.17 Mike M. From Southern Tires of Waldorf replied two days later. Offering Sincere apologies and telling me about the disciplinary actions that the technician received. How he's no longer employed with them. I drive past this shop almost daily. Funny thing is. On Friday 11.10.17 The SAME EXACT EMPLOYEE THAT SABOTAGED my vehicle is in the garage in full uniform changing Tires's. Plus No representative from Southern Tires Of Waldorf EVER contacted me by phone to resolve this matter as Mike M promised. This tells me The management team in place at this location are a bunch of ALTERNATIVE TRUTH SPEAKING ppl. And just maybe the employees have been trained to sabotage unsuspecting customer vehicles so the shop can get return business. Whatever happened to pride in the work place and the customer is always right and fair exchange. I feel like I paid 500 bucks for service from the shop. I came here for a state inspection and was very impressed with the cleanliness of this place. Most places that service cars is a dump on the inside and the bathrooms are dirty and smelly. However, Southern Tire bathroom and waiting area was really clean and they also had a little table for kids with actual toys, coloring books and crayons. It kept my 3 year old busy while we waited.The customer service here was superb! they were very informative about what my car needed. I think I will start coming here for all of my car needs. read more
