They just cut strips under, leaving quarter inch gaps the baseboards didn't cover in 3 places. They used cheap materials to replace real wood kickplates. They didn't even put the toilet paper holder back up. And the spilled ceiling paint on my tile floor and left it. Every time I questioned Darrell he gave me excuses. Don't hire them, you'll regret it.

I'm in the process of selling my home and have a copy of the 2004 survey but the survey did not list the acreage and given the fact that one of my property lines is curved and none of the lines run exactly parallel, I was unable to use the online calculators to determine my exact acreage. I called the number listed on my 2004 land survey and was informed by Landpro that the company that surveyed the property had been bought out and that Landpro did not have access to records dating back to 2004. I thought I'd hit a dead end, but the very helpful gentleman said I could e-mail them a scanned copy of my 2004 survey and they would see if they could help. I thought he was probably just being nice, but I e-mailed anyway. Within about an hour, one of their surveyors responded with an image of the property bounds and an exact calculation of my acreage. They didn't have to respond at all. I wasn't their client (it was the previous owners who had purchased the survey), they didn't have access to the original records, and I wasn't their problem, yet they STILL helped me. I was floored by how incredibly helpful and kind they were and you can bet that if and when I ever need a land survey done, I will 100% give them my business. In a day when not many places offer even the bare minimum for customer service, this company went above and beyond to be helpful to me. 100% recommend!

basement remodel : I hired Nick Ray to remodel a home in Roswell. The previous owner did some…read moreremodel work in the basement by expanding the bathroom and adding a small kitchenette with cute tile etc, he also divided the living area into a smaller living area and a bedroom. We hired Nick to open up the two rooms, remove the paneling walls. Sheet rock them and raise the celing from 7 ft to 8 ft. Nick re- worked the duck working so that the ceiling being raised would work. He installed Saltillo tile flooring in the area to match what was already in the living portion of the room. But to top it all off, I was so glad I hired Nick, as he uncovered a great mistake the previous owner did when he added the kitchette and expanded the bathroom size. The previous owner cut out load baring wall that supported the upstairs hallway and bathroom. Nick came up with a solution that saved taking the bathroom and kitchette out. We also had him take live edge walnut wood that we bought in Tellico Plains and created a bar edge around our pool table, redid the stairs with the walnut steps and reworked the kitchette to have raw edge details. The basement is now a masterpiece that no other person can have. Thanks Nick for saving my home from collapsing on me and giving me a uniquely different man's cave for my wonderful husband.

I wanted to repurpose parts of the home, move windows and doors, and preserve the original details of my home. Most of the other contractors I spoke to told me things that I wanted could not be done but after speaking with Jeff he told me anything can be done! And he made everything happen. My original design for my master bedroom and bathroom which required two front rooms to be reconstructed looks exactly as the finished product. Jeff had to move windows floorboards walls and make repairs as he went. Remember this house was over a hundred years old. I had original hard pine flooring which he preserved. All of his contractors were top-notch. Even baseboards that were original to this home had to have special knives cut to reproduce the original design and Jeff made it happen! I have had other work done in other homes prior to this that were not even difficult projects that did not go as well as this one. Jeff made everything easy with his communication and his professional workers and was very attentive to details. When my brother-in-law who helped me to draw up the original design came to the home to look at the finished work he kept staring at it shaking his head! When I asked him why he was so surprised at the finished room he said "I know I helped you draw up the design but I didn't actually think they would be able to do it!"

Went to a brick maker who sent me to a seller who sent me a list of numerous people. I contacted them all until I found Kevin and answered (didn't even have to leave a message). This whole process took two months. Kevin's entire involvement from first contact to finished product was three days. Told me to take pics, gave me an estimate based off visuals of what to expect at least, a time frame of availability and a list of what he was able to complete. Called before he came, showed up and went straight to work as we discussed what needed to be done over the phone. The man works hard, efficiently and with fantastic results. Make sure to go through everything with him when he is done to verify everything was completed. He likes to make sure he did a good job. I had another "mason" do some other work. The grey (some hasn't dried yet) is Kevin's work. You can compare his work to others. He may not be the cheapest guy (honestly he wasn't that far from the cheapest guy I was quoted and ghosted by) but he did an amazing job. Would 10/10 hire this man to replace all of my siding with brick at this point instead of anything else I could use knowing how well this job turned out and the price of everything he did (pull out the bricks, get the still water out from under the brick area, fix other's mistakes, and make sure they were set in correctly and safely).

Well, Monday came and went and I heard nothing from anyone, so I called the number that was listed in his reply and left a voicemail asking for a call back to schedule an estimate or discuss further. It has now been more than a month and I still haven't heard from this company. If they are this bad at communicating from the start, I would not have high hopes for actually working with them. I was disappointed since the Yelp reviews were promising. I'm glad that others have had better experiences with Knoble Engineering and was hoping I would be able to add to their positive reviews, but unfortunately that was not the case. I don't feel it makes sense for me to chase someone that I am trying to give my business to. Luckily, I found another engineer for my project that has been far more responsive.

Two weeks later, I had to follow up with Robert Philbeck, who then sent us an outrageous $8K quote. The scope of work was extremely simple: patch up some drywall and reset a cabinet. For comparison, multiple other contractors reviewed the same scope and estimated less than $2K for everything. What made the experience even more frustrating was the two-week delay, wasting valuable time only to receive an unreasonable proposal. Maybe they're better suited for larger commercial projects, but based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend them for residential work.
