Lucy was amazing. Very firm pressure, some would say painful but it was what my body needs and release my knots and tension. Did 75 minutes and I will do 90 from now on as I am now a loyal fan of Lucy. I know I have a blocked meridian and my vagus nerves are tense and locked up, Lucy picked up on this and really worked those areas. Great scraping work on the feet and handsbas they are super crunchy. I will budget to see Lucy weekly until I get somewhat back to normal as my body needs help more than my monthly massage appointment. If you are new to "foot massage" it is a full body experience. Best to wear a tank top and shorts and pull your hair into a tight ponytail as no part of your body will be left untouched. You are fully covered with a towel, you stay clothed, but you will have your arms, tush, hips, legs pressure massaged and stretched. Nothing inappropriate, just full, deep body work. Is it relaxing? no. It is rejuvenating? yes. Is it painful? a bit. Is it therapeutic? yes. Will it put you out of your comfort zone? yes but get over it. I was trying to keep my brain from focusing on the sore, tender state of all my muscles, top to bottom as Lucy was working on me, so I focused on being grateful that this older woman was putting so much care and attention into my tired body and helping my body heal itself. The session room is a cool, dark, common space with 6 open beds. Nothing special but pleasant. This is not a spa. You are there for body work. Always be generous and tip 20%+. They charge $60 for 75minutrs which is great, $70 for 90 minutes, so bring some extra $10 and $20 bills with you. They work so hard and it shows, and I am grateful. read more

I came here to get combination massage a couple months ago and i specifically came here for deep tissue massage because that's what I thought my body needed at the time but I was wrong I think not felt worse the next day and I was extremely bruised on my back. I couldn't relax at all throughout the whole experience. Then i decided to come back to give them another chance. This time i made sure to let them know I want them to go softer. It felt like I had to repeatedly let them know to go softer because they wouldn't listen to my request and kept going hard. I also noticed that the workers have a lot of side conversations as they are massaging everyone even giggling and the guy that was doing my massage was even sipping on his cold drink and then putting his cold hands on me. The quality of the massages and foot rubs are incredible. I believe my masseuse. His name was Heather. Everything about the actual physical massage was on point. Very relaxing very soothing, helped get the knot out in shoulder. You can't beat the price that's for sure an hour and a half massage for 60 bucks is way better than able to get anywhere closer to downtown. However, the ambience is no thrills. It's not a very fancy location and there is a childcare center in the back that occasionally her children playing. Super good massage !! One of the best massage places that I have been to. $45 for a 90 minute foot massage. It is actually a head to toe massage. I walked in with a major tension headache. (I had taken Excedrin tension headache pills but it didn't work). Great deep tissue massage with lasting effects. Any massage feels good while it is being done, But a good massage makes you feel for the rest of the day. Ladies there have a very strong grip and know what they are doing. Looks like they're somehow pulling negative reviews so do trust this place. I left 2 reviews last year and they're both pulled off, just because they were negative, apparently. I have permanent nerve damage in my feet and ankles from a "massage" at this place in August 2020. I've spent thousands of dollars at this point in tests and treatments. Be warned. I've gotten a couple deep tissue massages here and I couldn't be happier. YES, deep tissue hurts but afterwards it makes such a difference in your overall movement. I injured my shoulder working out and it would always bother me, my range of motion was trash. Two massages later and it's improving and feels better than ever. We love this place because they give amazing massages. The hour and a half hot oil is heaven, really works everything out with deep tissue pressure. The worst customer service I've EVER had! Not only was the place loud and they are supposed to whisper, they didn't. They don't respect your privacy either. I went with my step-son for a massage and they brought him into the same room where I was nude. They were using the other table that was available in the same room. I thought it was another lady or female in there with me. I didn't even think it'd be him that came into the room because my face was down on the table and I was surprised when I got up that it was him. I was so embarrassed! This is what topped it off. When I went to pay they charged me $40 extra for a service they said I agreed to. Watch out, this place is horrible & a scam! When I went to count my money because I was forced to pay the amount he indicated, he snatched my money from my hand and tried keeping it all. I grabbed it back from him and he yelled at me to tip. I feel tipping is a charge you shouldn't be expected to give. I did because it wasn't the massagers fault for their horrible management. I think the tall Asian that did this is the owner. What a hidden gem! I came here on a Saturday, after brunch and in satisfied with Bamboo. I arrive and was quickly seated and started my massage. The massage was amazing. Deep tissue chair massage. My thighs were rubbed, pounded and smacked. My feet were massaged, cracked, and soaked. My back was kneaded, chopped and pounded. It was so nice to have ever muscle, kink, and knot attended to. Very dissatisfied. I called in for a few of us to come in and get massages; unfortunately, the massages turned out to be awful. Upon entering, the place did not feel very relaxing or comfortable...but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. 1) Considering how cold it has been outside slash in Colorado, it was certainly not cozy in there. I rarely think it's that cold, but I felt like it was pretty chilly inside...even while soaking my feet and during the "massage" itself. 2) Massages are obviously touchy, but a couple of us felt inappropriately groped...it was rather uncomfortable. 3) One of us had a guy whose hands reeked of cigarette smoke, which is very disgusting when those hands are massaging your face. Same guy, he must be the owner or something...was in and out during the massage. 4) If they failed at everything else, their massages should have at least been great, but they weren't. If you have knots, don't come here because they don't help with getting rid of them. We will never be coming here again, nor do we recommend it for anyone else. Please save your money. read more

So, I went back on a Sunday afternoon recently. I understand that Sundays are busy for them. They had been busy all day, I guess. I walked in and got a chair right away. The person doing the massage really wasn't good. I wanted to just say, "STOP!" but I had that uncomfortable feeling where you feel awkward and don't want to seem like a jerk, kwim? So, finally the pounding ended. It was like he was jittery and had no clue. The pressure was bad and felt just...off. It was not a good massage. When I was getting ready to leave, another one of the massage guys asked if it was ok. I say that it was so-so. He told me that he was the part-time guy who they just called in randomly. Gah. He could have been somebody's random cousin or something - or so it seemed. Anyway. I guess the moral of the story is that if you are going in there on a weekend, go first thing. I've never had a similar issue at some of the other nearby places. I absolutely HATE how much I love this place. 70-80% of the time I walk out with every ache and pain either gone or significantly reduced. My tight shoulders and back muscles require some deep tissue and I usually get this but there have been times where I felt the masseuse was tired or when I asked for harder pressure they were struggling to accommodate. I'll be trying a hot oil massage the next time I go in there to see if that is worth the upgrade. The price is the BEST in Denver (I've looked) especially for what you get. Called to make an appointment for four people. When we showed up they only had room for 3 so one is had to wait for 15 minutes. As soon as the massage started I said we scheduled and 1 1/2 massage and he said okay. They only did an hour and the entire time the phone rang and they were talking back and forth. Super unprofessional, plus the manager is arguing with me saying her employees don't know english. Is that my fault? No! One us is only got 48 minutes. She gave us a deal on the 48 min massage. I am a fan. I love massages and have been trying my hardest to find a place that I can frequent. My friend recommended this place to me a while back and I recently decided that I should try it out. There is a language barrier, but this wonderful older woman did my massage(I wish I knew her name). She was STRONG. I didn't even need to tell her what to give me. She focused on my shoulder blades and moved my arm in various positions(this makes or breaks a massage for me) to get all the knots in that area, she also did a scalp massage; which was pleasant. I really love a good butt massage and it was given to me without me even having to request it. This is a no frills type place so you don't get a private room with a fuzzy blanket and your own special aromatherapy blend. I kept my panties on and covered my behind with a towel, but that was whipped off fairly quickly. It's walled up with curtains like a massage school would be(I didn't have a neighbor while getting a massage so I didn't hear any weird grunting). The comfy leather chairs, elegant stone floors, and relaxing lighting really make you feel like you're in an exclusive spa/resort. The staff is very pleasant, professional, and most certainly experts in massage. Did I mention the prices are very reasonable?
