While making a right turn in a parking lot, I was unaware of a curb which I was unable to see. BAM, Screech of metal against concrete and I'm straddling the curb, unable to move forward or backwards due to the low nature of my car. Strangers attempted to sit on the trunk to lift the car, push it from the front and rock it back and forth to no avail. We called AAA and they directed the call to Southside Towing while she was at work near South Coast Plaza; it was a busy holiday week but they said upfront it would be about a 45 minute wait and that's what it was. Charlie arrived and immediately hooked up her '05 Toyoto Corolla and said he knew the location of our garage in the Tustin area and would meet us there shortly. After we arrived at the garage in Tustin, Charlie arrived about three minutes later with the car and was extremely helpful and courteous as the parking lot was full and there was absolutely NOWHERE to drop the car; but he did as the mechanic asked and thanked us for OUR call and politeness. I just got my car out this morning! This is specifically for ORANGE LOCATION. Here's my story for you. I went on vacation for WEEK and woke up this morning to drive to work; only to find out my car has been TOWED!!! I immediately called the number to confirm my nightmare of this being true. Meanwhile, I'm currently on hold and bringing this matter to my rental office manager's attention. LUCKILY, this company was UNDERSTANDING after my manager explained to them that I was a BRAND NEW resident and my permit was in my car...HOWEVER it may have fallen on the floor (My kind of luck). WHICH led me to this horrifying start of my day. SO as a result the tow yard worked out a compromise in my favor. My storage fee of a week was WAIVED! END RESULT: I had to pay for a day and the tow fee--I felt that was FAIR and am VERY GRATEFUL. THANK YOU JESUS AND THANK YOU SOUTH SIDE TOWING!!! IN A NUTSHELL: My experience with this company was fast and EFFICIENT customer service, PROFESSIONAL- they took pictures of my vehicle justifying they reason of towing (No visible permit also I'm sure for liability reasons) thus proving this tow company is LEGIT. I had to call them to tow a car that had parked unauthorized in our assigned parking spot. They were extremely professional and helpful, and took the time to help my mom and I get the proper paperwork. While it took time to get the right papers in order it wasn't their fault - California law has very rigarous protocol for towing vehicles, (we needed the original lease that had our name, full address, and parking spot number, and a photo ID) which I appreciate because it means that my vegicle would not be towed improperly. The man who helped us (I'm not sure of his name) was awesome and extremely patient. They were quick to respond, especially considering it was 2 in the morning, and although they had to leave because we didn't have the right paperwork, when we did eventually find it on the third try they still came back quickly. I'm extremely pleased, and very happy that our HOA works with them. And I'm not going to lie, getting a rightful revenge on the jerk who parked in my spot was super satisfying. I'd probably feel a little worse about it but the guy who parked in our spot had a parking permit to park in the non-carport spots which means it belonged to another resident, and another neighbor told me they had parked in other assigned spots that weren't theirs so I feel really good. It was tow-tally worth it and I'd highly recommend using this company. If I ever need my car towed I will definitely keep Southside in mind. read more

Attitude is everything in business. My girlfriend just wanted to break down the pricing so that she knew what she was paying for after her car was towed..she had a nice manner everything was cool. The lady behind the counter however, thought this was an affront to her dignity or something. This involves my boat and trailer being towed. These guys at southside towing made a bad situation 100 times better for me. When I arrived, I was treated with dignity, and respect. I was shown photographs of my boat before it was hooked up to the tow truck, which resolved for me an ongoing dispute I had with the management company that authorized the towing. And these guys worked with me involving my identification that recently had been lost. Two gentlemen helped me drive the boat and trailer out of the storage yard as I had only recently purchased the boat and was not used to driving it with a trailer around corners. On the humanity side of things they even help me by pointing out things that were wrong with the trailer that were a safety concern. When I arrived, I was mad as a hornet when I left I was thankful that my boat and trailer had been towed by southside towing. As crazy as it might sound to anyone that had talk to Thanks guys. The girl in the front was very helpful and very sweet and two men there one of them name starts wth a G and the other with a A . Sadly my mind was all over with the stress that I forgot their full name but they were SO NICE and helped me to get my car out of the tow and to the mechanic tow man. Rude and unrealistic. We called for a tow and they said an hour. We waited for 2 hours before calling back. When we called back, he didn't even have any of our information and wouldn't admit it. I flat out asked him if they didn't have us down to send for help, and he kept avoiding the question. When I said we were told 1 hour and we were already waiting 2 hours, how much longer. He started having an attitude and saying we would have to wait at least another 2 hours because he can't control how long each customer takes.... ok that's fine but why was I told an hour wait time? Anyone who has had their cars towed before (as I have more than once) knows that it is pure unpleasantness. Not just because of the fee but usually the staff is curt and not at all sympathetic to your situation. This was not the case with Southside Towing. I had been towed wrongfully for not having a parking permit displayed. When I showed up to the lot I was expecting the same ol' gimme our money and ill give you your car. Brett, however, actually took the time to listen to my argument about why I should not of been towed and then investigated my claim. He contacted his boss to plead my case and in the end was able to get the fees reversed to the company who had me towed. This was such a huge relief to me as I have a wife and kids and am newly out of work, so funds are tight. I needed my car and the $350 it would have cost me to get it out of impound would have been a huge hit to the pocket book. Thank you Brett and Southside towing for being understanding and fair. My car was towed while I was in the movies at the Lido Theater. The management of the Lido Buildings called my car in which was extremely frustrating considering I was seeing a movie on their property. After a lot of back and forth between calling Southside Towing, the management company and movie theater I was able to get my car back with no charge thanks to Tammie, the manager at Southside. She was very understanding and accommodating. She turned a frustrating, difficult situation into a bare able one! The rest of the staff there was just as kind and understanding.
