Worst service experience I ever had! A driveline clunk and electrical issue. Clunk occurs every time the car is driven and electrical issue totally random. They claimed they couldn't duplicate either and wanted a $400 diagnostic fee. Absolutely no customer concern. CSI score-90. 14 days in shop! I purchased my vehicle from this location September 2025 brand new and dropped it off April 21, 2026 for the 15,000 mile service check and while it was getting service they left my vehicle out in the hail storm and returned it to me today 5/5/2026 with a cracked from windshield and hail damage all over hood and roof of vehicle. Not only were they rude in regards to getting the damage fixed but they had no resolution to this issue rather than it was not their problem. I would stay away from this dealership, they are interested in only selling the vehicle and nothing after, their customer service is terrible. The "Gilchrist Difference" is a lie and a sham to get you to buy a vehicle. They care about money and that is all. While I understand a hailstorm is not something anyone has control over, they can help with the deductible from insurance offer one of their hail guys at a discounted rate, but they offered nothing and said it was my problem to deal with. read more

I called last week to schedule schedule an appointment. talk to young lady she scheduled me for 7 AM Monday morning. I explained to her that I didn't have a ton of time that it's a check engine line with the emission system and that I was leaving at the end of the week to go to Tennessee hauling a trailer she said no problem Bring it in. Forward to Monday morning I drive an hour and a half to get here at 7 AM. Gentlemen walks up to Check me in and asked me what I'm here for as if I didn't already schedule an appointment or talk to somebody about all the issues that I'm having. Beware. I was told I could not use my pre-approved financing to buy a used car. Prior to shopping for a car I got pre-approved at 5.08% and less than 6% with multiple banks. The best financing offered by Southwest was 6.59%. They are most likely a NCC Direct software customer. Vehicle was priced right, but last minute moves like this are a concern. I did not purchase a vehicle. When buying a NEW car this tactic is no longer allowed in Texas. Citizens need to contact their state representatives to stop this tactic when buying used cars also. read more

If looking for a used vehicle, look elsewhere. They will add on "market adjustment" after you decide you want the vehicle. Another term I would use is "GREED." The sales people are friendly, but inexperienced for the most part. This would suggest experienced ones don't stick around long when they realize the bad business practices this dealership engages in. Fact: I met the former used car manager at another dealership who left due to the poor method of doing business. Enough said. Service department is poor. My Jeep stayed there too long and too often. And without fail, every time I got it back another problem was inevitable. After an oil change it failed on a road trip, and I spent five days stuck with my Jeep in the shop. The dealer that serviced my Jeep in another state told me the issue looked deliberate, as it was close to 99% impossible for the part to fail without the help of human hands. The Gilchrist Group that owns this dealership ought to be ashamed at how they treat customers and manipulate numbers. And the last thing that left me shaking my head never to return? They wouldn't even let me take the sheet with numbers on the vehicle I looked at out the door with me. What's up with that? read more

Horrible customer service. Had a problem with a new car purchase, called to speak with GM Mike Brown 4 times. He would not return my calls. I traded in my car on a new car, then decided on day 4 that I wanted to back out of the deal, went to dealership and they wouldn't back the deal, told me my car was already gone (it was not). Long story short I had to buy my car I had traded in for $9,000 more than they gave me in trade. I owed $20,000 prior to trading it in, now owe $34,000 after it is all said and done. This dealership is not about customer satisfaction. The finance manager is a 'yes man' for the dealership. My original car, I found on the used car lot at the dealership after they tikd me it was gone. They have no problem lying. They insisted on backdating paperwork to May 2023, on June 3rd. Dishonest. Traded my vehicle in for a truck on their used lot. Good price, and gave me fair value for my trade. At the desk signing papers with the finance guy, and of course he tries to sell me the 5 year extended warranty blah blah blah....after turning it down for 5 minutes, we move forward. Well, come to find out, they snuck a 3 year warranty in there without verbally disclosing that to me in the amount of $3,000. Sure, this is partly on me because I did not read closely enough. I'm having a full pump put in and two new tires with seniors put on on. When this was Lone Star Dodge I had must better service. Where to begin... All the indicator lights on my dash came on all at once (engine, oil, abs, etc.) so we took it in to this Jeep dealership to look at. We explained that issue along with a couple of others like the driver's side door not unlocking with the key fob and the gas tank "overflowing" and spilling when we try to put gas in. The service advisor, J*** told my husband they would do a full eval, call us to let us know what the problems are, and it should be ready to go in about a week. We wait about 10 days and have had zero communication so we try calling them. We reach J and she says she will check on it and call us right back. 3 hours later we have to call again because we've heard nothing back. J is now "with a customer" but will call us right back. Nothing. Another few hours go by and we try again. J has now left for the day but they put a note on her desk and she will definitely call first thing in the morning. No communication the next day. The next day we call again and have to leave several messages. Finally we get a hold of her later in the day. She says it will be almost $2K to fix. Apparently there are only a few ABS sensors for an '08 Jeep in the country and so it will take some time go get it mailed in. She also said we needed an oil change/oil filter, and replace the front brake pads too. My husband gave the go-ahead not knowing I had just had the oil changed recently with the premium oil that can go 6 months. Another week goes by and we haven't heard anything. We go through the same frustratingly painful process of trying to get a status update. It felt like they were screening our calls at this point. When we finally got through to J she said they haven't done any of the work as they are waiting on the one part for the gas tank to come in. Another funny thing, J is the only one who can give us status updates- if she is gone or busy noone can tell us anything. Thank god J didn't have any emergencies that required to be out for an extended period of time! I've been without a vehicle this whole time and they haven't even touched it! We asked them to fix everything else and would bring the car back in when the part came in. We finally pick up the car and the brakes are grinding so bad! The inside door handle comes off almost immediately and there is oil tracked on the carpet. We took it to two different brake shops and it was finally determined that the grinding is coming from the brakes this dealership fixed so we bring it back. Again, we give them about a week before we start calling for an update and go through the same process or having to call multiple times. J tells us they tried and tried but could not replicate the sound we were talking about with the brakes. They checked the brake pads and everything looks fine. Her exact words were "sometimes you bring the car in and it just fixes itself." We asked that they check again. So we went back to pick it up- I specifically asked again about the brakes and that they checked they were done right. She re-iterated the techs checked everything and it was all in order. If we had problems to bring it back in. So she goes to bring my car around. Next thing I see is my car being driven with them slamming the brakes constantly and J returns letting me know they will have to keep it longer to check the brakes. As soon as she got in the car she knew something was off. I let her know I wanted a call that day letting me know what was going on because I've been taking Uber to work and it was getting very expensive. To her (minimal) credit, she did call that day to say they needed more time and she would update me first thing in the morning. Can you guess if she called? She didn't! I called around 2 PM and she said it was ready to go. They would also graciously refund me the $20 gas they put in the car and offer me a free oil change/tire rotation next time I brought the car in. Like I would let them touch it again! Everything about this experience was horrible- no redeeming qualities whatsoever. We spent $2K to to fix it, including the stuff we didn't need like the oil change, hundreds on uber to work for days, and wasted so much of our time driving back and forth waiting for them to fix their mistakes. Best of all, management does not care. Wanna know how I know? We can't get them on the phone either! read more

I took my truck to get a loud rattle checked out and I was having problems with the rear view mirror not shading at night. Also the radio had bad reception when first starting the truck. After 2 1/2 weeks I drove by the dealership to get information on my truck. The service manager told me the mechanic couldn't hear the rattle. The mechanic was unavailable to do a ride along, so the service manager road. Within 15 seconds, that's seconds, he heard the rattle. He said he would take over the repair of my truck. He would have it ready in 1 or 2 days. I told him never mind about the radio. I could live with the inconvenience. The service assistant assigned to me was worthless. She was on vacation. She never once called me to update me about my vehicle. I received my truck back the next afternoon. The tie rod was repaired, and the rear view mirror was changed out. It's as though they service department is not interested in getting your vehicle back to you in a timely manner. I was completely frustrated, especially when I heard they couldn't hear the rattle. Maybe the mechanic should turn off the air conditioner, turn off the radio, and roll down the windows to hear a rattle. It's just that simple. read more

Waiting now but came in with a battery cable issue after supposedly having it fixed by Roger Williams Dodge in Weatherford. I was told it was a 3 week wait. Oh my. But this service guy asked if I'd been helped. I said yes but was told 3 weeks. He asked what the issue was, I told him. He said " let me take a quick look." He was a little surprised at what had been done to my battery connectors. He said it was degrading my battery and he is working right now to get it fixed for me. Response from Corporate: Hi Eduardo, Currently we are reviewing with the district manager for next steps/ coverage for repairs. From what Jose advised the noise when turning was found to be the power steering lines as they are not routed properly and hitting on the steering Colum ; he leak is coming from the torque converter seal. Jose informed they believe when installing the engine the seal was damaged. That said typically this would be considered a workmanship issue from the previous dealer and you would be recommended to return to the previous dealer or pay for repairs and talk to the previous dealer about reimbursement however given the circumstances I went ahead and reached out to the service management and district manager to review options. I hope to have more information soon. read more

I had a bad experience with this dealership. I made an appointment to to look at a specific new vehicle ,when I got there they couldn't find the vehicle , when they finally found it they said it was in the service department with a engine problem (brand new Ram) so I didn't want to have anything to do with that vehicle . I agreed to look at other vehicles and found one of the same make and model .the dealer came back with a price ,it had the total price of the vehicle but under that price there was a $1500 mark up added in . asked why that fee was there and they said it was added do to the auto workers union strike and they would not be getting any more inventory which to me is an unjustified charge at this stage of the strike (one day) I argued to get it removed and he came back with another figure closer to my target price and was told that was the final price With no add ons. I went to the finance department to make payment arrangements and the $1500 fee was back on with the final price. so I had to argue my case again about the fee but they only agreed to remove a portion of it. I could have walked away from the deal but I had been there for 8 hrs that day trying to make this deal work out and didn't want to go through this process again somewhere else. I spoke/texted (screenshots attached) with Lindsey Cox off and on for about a day and a half about my father-in-law (she was sent a pic of his drivers license) buying a 2021 Tacoma. She even sent a price breakdown for driving it off the lot. During our back and forth I noticed on the website the price had decreased by $1000. I asked about it and was told they would honor that reduction so I asked about giving her a credit card to guarantee I was going to buy the truck. She said she wasn't allowed to take a credit card to hold it but she assured me there was no one else looking at it and my father-in-law and I would be fine to drive there the next morning. We drove TWO HOURS to walk in and be told the truck had sold and the buyer was waiting on financing. Mind you, we came with cash in hand to buy that truck. She knew we were coming but didn't have the honor, ethics or morals to call and let us know the truck had sold to someone else. We never go desperate for a vehicle as many things can happen with a "deal" so not getting the truck isn't the issue, the issue is her not letting us know the truck had sold before we got there when she knew we were coming. She did kindly (sarcasm) offer us the option to buy a 2016 at a sister dealership that she would help us get a good deal on. I would not believe it if this woman told me the sky was blue. Didn't want to write this review but I feel like I needed to. I brought my brand new grand Cherokee for service last Monday 9/5 due to a check engine light and was told to leave it for 3 days and I wasn't even offered a loaner car for the inconvenience. 3 days pass and I call the service department to see if my vehicle has any updates and I'm not able to contact my advisor because he's not in office. I get a call Friday that my vehicle is ready. So I have to pay a $50 dollar Uber to take me to the dealership and I pick up my vehicle and while I'm driving home I notice the check engine light came back on my dash board, so I have to drive an hour back to the dealer ship. An adviser lets me know they'll finally get me a loaner but turns out they don't have any. I was told I can take my vehicle home for now and when the loaner comes back to the dealership to bring my vehicle to service and I can take the loaner or leave it at the dealer ship, I decided to take my vehicle because I'm a full time student and work a full time job so I need transportation. It's already Tuesday 9/13 and I still have no loaner vehicle and my car still isn't fixed. I called the service department two days ahead of time to schedule an appointment to bring my truck in for repairs. I explained that I was in Whitney, TX and the dealership is 25 miles away. On Thursday I showed up to give them my truck and the Service Department windows were decorated with several signs that said"We are completely booked until Monday". When I asked if that meant I couldn't expect to keep my scheduled appointment I was told that it would probably be Wednesday before they could get to my truck. I understand that there are times that a business gets swamped, but seriously they could have said this when I called and saved me a 50 mile round trip. What's the point of making an appointment? These folks need some serious organizational skills and better scheduling. The two star instead of one is because the service "consultant" was very polite when she told me I wasted my morning driving all the way to the dealership. read more

No pressure, knowledgeable about the cars he sales and friendly. During the process he was there to answer any questions about the car. I ordered a new 2022 Ram 3500 MegaCab Limited to replace the identical 2019 Ram 3500 Limited that I traded in. The truck arrived and I was told to come pick it up. I owed nothing on my trade and the new truck was over $88,000 plus the T's. There was a $20,000.00 difference in which I wrote out a check only to be told I needed to go to my bank to get a Cashier's check. Stunned after being a multiple truck purchaser over the years from Southwest CDJR, I asked to wire the money, in which I was told they had to have my banker call and would not give an individual those instructions. After a cell phone discussion with a Southwest CDJR principal after I left, he apologized and told me he would handle it and they would run the check I left. His son Stephen Gilchrist called me back confirmed they had been burned and asked for a wire negating the other principals apology and had a staff member send those to me via email. All in all, who walks in with a clear title to a $60,000.00 trade-in value truck and then writes a hot check. I sent the wire request to my bank tonight and I am over-nighting the trade-in title to the 2019 as promised to be done. I was treated like a criminal and will never return much less refer another sole to any of their stores. The sales staff Kevin Vines and David Brooks had their hands tied and actually did a good job through delivery. Everything was fine till the complete and utter lack of trust was displayed treating me like a criminal because of the fact they said they'd been "burned before" by a criminal posing as a client. We had our truck towed to the dealership and as soon as they received our truck, Allison in the service department called to let us know they had it and would be getting it in ASAP. Went to this place on Saturday to look at a Jeep Cherokee L. I had already looked at a couple of places and had a good idea what I wanted and what my trade in was worth. Found a new Jeep I liked with a reasonable price. Decided to go ahead and look at the numbers. The salesman was great to work with as well as the internet person I had talked to. The salesman came back with my trade in value and it was a joke. They offered $35,000 for my trade in, which was $6000 less than anyone else had offered and $5500 less than what CarMax had offered to just buy the vehicle outright. It was also $9900 less than average trade in on KBB. I obviously told them no thank you. Then another person (sales manager maybe?) came out and ask me what I wanted out of the trade in. I told him the best offer I had, he proceeded to laugh at me and tell me that was a gift and said if it was true I better hurry and go take it. Which I did, I drove to the other dealer and made the deal and have a nice Cherokee L setting in my driveway. And the payment is $170 less a month that what their offer would have been even though I chose a slightly more expensive option package. If you choose to go to this dealer make sure you know what your trade in is worth before you go there. I would NOT rely on them giving you a honest number on their own. read more

I purchased a brand-new vehicle from this place back in June of 2019. I was super excited, and David was my salesperson. He was genuinely nice and friendly during the sale when I purchased my vehicle. I drove off the lot one incredibly happy person! No problems here. A month later I started having problems with my vehicle and took it back to this dealership for repairs and to figure out what is going on. My vehicle spent a few days here, they replaced some parts and updated the recalls and I was able to go pick it up. Not even a few days later my vehicle was still acting up, so back to the dealership we go. Long story short my vehicle has been back to this dealership AT LEAST once a month for the same issues (and its 2020 now). I have a file folder that has several documents from when this vehicle has been to the dealership for THE SAME ISSUES!! Dan who is the service manager likes to say, "Well I have been here longer than..." and yet with all his experience neither him nor the mechanics can seem to get the vehicles issues to replicate. (or so they say). So, they guess at the issue and replace a part and hope it works. The general manager Mike Brown will not help with this vehicle at all despite what he says or "promises" and good luck getting a hold of him. I don't think I asked too much when I said please fix it or replace it. Dan talked about having a Chrysler inspector come out and look at my vehicle. Come to find out he never was called, I called Chrysler directly and had to request an Inspector. To this day, the dealership will not call me back, so I have been forced to take it elsewhere EVEN THOUGH I bought it there. The whole time that I have brought my vehicle to SouthWest, I never once raised my voice, nor lost my temper, giving them a fair chance to fix my vehicle correctly! I have expressed my concern for my vehicle and even stated that "I don't want it back until it works properly, because I am tired of driving a good distance out of my way to come back and forth." This dealership should have done the right thing and replaced the vehicle, in the beginning way before it escalated to me hiring attorneys. Took my vehicle to another Dodge/Chrysler dealership and on the first visit they were able to get the vehicle to replicate its issues and fix the broken parts that I am incredibly surprised SouthWest did not replace. Needless to say, SouthWest in Cleburne has earned their negative review and I do not recommend this dealership nor its service department! read more
