I don't normally leave reviews like this, but I need to warn others. After taking my vehicle to Crowley Tire and Auto for brake and suspension work, my front wheel completely collapsed. The shop had failed to properly secure the upper ball joint. I have photos. My wife and child were in the car. Thankfully it happened on a side street and not the highway. This was 100% preventable and due to negligence. They towed it back and repaired it, but when I asked for a refund for the unsafe work, the owner refused - even after admitting it was their fault. They said putting gas in the car and fixing their own mistake meant they didn't owe me anything, even when their work puts lives at risk. I gave them every chance to handle this professionally. Please think twice before trusting them with your family's safety. read more

I've been advised by the dashboard for about a month now that the battery in my key bob needs to be replaced. This was the first time for my four-year-old Ford. I was clueless. I went to Crowley Tire & Auto Service feeling a little foolish and embarrassed. I was ready to take a screwdriver and some needle nose pliers to it. The associate, Tanya was kind and patient as she walked me through the process. (no charge) In the past, mechanics have helped by referring me to get the parts needed to meet my needs. This was not the first time Crowley Tire & Auto had helped me out. When appropriate, they were happy to refer me to another garage or service provider. Stephanie at the front desk was very helpful. They replaced my battery and checked out the check engine light to make sure there were no other issues. Had work done here a while back with no problems. This trip was an oil change and replace the low air sensor that was out. I only had 1 out and had ordered them from an auto store. I brought ONE in to have it replaced and an oil change. I was told that they had to use the sensor they stock which was 30.00 more than the one I brought in... but it gets better... they charged 80.00 for the first one. I only needed one replaced but when I came in to pick up my truck, they said I had another out which was totally wrong. Only one was out and not reading. They are charging 35.00 for the use of a small hand held device that programs the sensor. You can program them yourself. You would think that a phone call would have been made when the second one was found. I will not be using Crowley Tire and Auto again. read more

Received outstanding service on my 2012 Chrysler 200 that we are passing on to my son. They inspected the entire vehicle and recommended parts to be replaced. I arrived with a laundry list of issues, and they addressed them all and more. They were in constant contact via text and phone calls to provide updates, and had me approve all work prior to completion. They ordered a suspension part that wound up not being needed, and removed the charge (when I would have never known if they replaced it or not). Honesty and integrity are unfortunately rare these days. You gained a customer for life after my first visit. Thank you very much!!! read more

This shop is irresponsible and unethical. I brought my car in for Scheduled service work and dropped it off. 5 hrs later they called me and said my car was ready for pick up. I arrived within 20 min, paid for the service (hundreds of dollars) and left in my car. 7 min down the road in noticed the problem was still there. I had to be at work so no time to turn around. 30 min later the lady from the shop called me. I called her back and she tells me my car was not repaired - said there was a key mix up. Totally pathetic. They had my car for 5 HOURS. I still haven't heard from Management. Thank goodness for CC payment cancelation. read more

Went in to have my brakes inspected and possibly repaired however these people told me I didn't need any work done on my brakes but that it was my stress and proceeded to give me an $1800 estimate. After I came home and decided to get a second opinion I went to another shop and they did a complete inspection of my vehicle from top to bottom and found nothing wrong with either my breaks or my stretch and so this company was By all accounts trying to rip me off for $1800 don't use these people. read more

They were able to figure out what happened, patched and rotated my tires all under 45 minutes without an appointment! My daughter took her car to them to have the a/c fixed. Here are the texts I received from her about their service. Today @ 9:06 am You know how we dropped off the car to fix the a/c? It was supposed to be under $400. Then he called yesterday saying another part was broken and could be the cause of it all, it was supposed to be under $200 extra. We saved $1000 to fix it so we told him to go ahead. He called today to say the a/c still wasn't working and he found the "actual" cause of the problem and it would be another $300 and something to fix it. Oh, but wait, without fixing it, somehow our max total of $600 is actually almost $1000 already and fixing what is actually causing the a/c malfunction will cost us a total of $1300. So $1000 out the window to NOT have working a/c in time for Patrick to go to work tomorrow. Everything was over the phone. We literally can't afford $1300 when all we had set aside was $1000. So we get the car back today, we just don't have working air. We already have to pay the $1000. We can't go anywhere else. And yes, we have to pay $1000 for the repairs that were already done to NOT fix the a/c even though they were supposed to. I took my truck in for inspection and they told me I need new tires. When I questioned this and asked to see what they were talking about, I began a discussion with the counter individual. At this point I was verbally abused by the owner Matt who absolutly believes that he is the only one who is able to read the requirements for unservicable tires. He got directly in my face and yelled for me to leave his business which I did. If you are a senior citizen or veteran such as myself Please do not go here for nothing. This sort of thing would never have happened when Mike owned the shop. He could have approached this in a much different way. read more

Don't waste your time. Gave a quote over the phone. Then I bought my vehicle there to have that work done. I was given an paper estimate that was more than $200 over what I was quoted over the phone. When I questioned the estimate, I was told that "that's why we don't like giving quotes over the phone". And I am thinking that the easiest solution is to NEVER give quotes then. Only give paper estimates after the vehicle is looked at. Once I reviewed the quote, the parts needed for repair were double compared to buying them from any generic auto parts store. When I asked by the parts were more expensive, I was rudely told that "they had to pay for a currier to bring the parts". I'm not sure Charging double is a moral thing to do. Finally, I was asked to pay a "diagnostic fee" for looking at the vehicle. When I asked what diagnostics they performed, the answer was "well, 90% of the time it's this part", acting as if I should have already known that. Not a very compelling answer, and gave nothing as to what was diagnosed. I drove over 25 minutes to get there and needless to say I won't be back. Sad thing is, is that they have a sign on their wall saying something to the tune of "If people are treated poorly they won't be back". About the only think I can say was worth 1-star was the fact that they gave me back my key and didn't make me pay the $40 "diagnostic fee". read more

Let me tell y'all.. I had problems with another auto shop (I won't say names) and the job they did had come apart within hours of me leaving. I chose to bring the mess of the other shop to Crowley Tire and with no problems at all they had me set up listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn and relaxing while they took care of everything. I find myself at a loss for this Auto/ Tire Mechanic Shop. I've bought tires there where one of them blew out on the freeway and one wore out to quick. They wouldn't honor the warranty. Another incident where the mechanic laughed about the repair he'd made on th electrical wiring of my Buick. Another time I had them change the transmission oil on my Malibu and the Transmission Pan later started leaking a lot. There was one repair on my front steering caster where they did a good job. I just don't think I'm of a mind to take a vehicle to them any more. read more

Today my car just quit on me in the middle of the road, someone referred me to Crowley Tire & Auto and immediately they began assisting me. From a referral for a towing company, lower price than the 3 other places I called, called me with updates and answers about my car, and got my serpentine belt replaces, brakes replaces, oil changed, and motor mount replaced within hours! My car is a 2010 and feels almost like it did when I first drove it off the lot. Can't beat the service!! I won't be going anywhere else from now on! read more

This is a pretty good auto shop. They have always done me a good job and the prices seem to be pretty well in line with everyone else. When my wife has gone in, they have treated her well and always with courtesy. She feels comfortable with them, which says a lot. The facility isn't the cleanest around, but it isn't a dump either.
