AVOID at all costs. i brought a vintage hermes vest here in perfect condition and when i came to pick it up there was a hole in it. the owner showed no accountability for the issue. he said there was no way cleaning could cause a hole (1 google search proved that was untrue) then accused me of buying a damaged item (also untrue) and then saying maybe a moth caused it (impossible unless a moth flew into his store and made the hole) i had the item in my possession for less than 1 day, purchased and immediately brought here. They offered to repair it and when i picked it up looked even worse with the stitching causing a pucker in the garment. also the cleaning took over a week when previous garments i've brought took far less time. I was in need of having my wedding dress cleaned and stopped in to Southwest Cleaners to see if they would be willing to clean a wedding gown. I received a warm welcome and enthusiasm to take on the task of cleaning the dress-- I had a beach wedding so it was dirtied from the sand, and in addition, it had some greenery stains from laying the bouquet too close to the dress once all the festivities were over. I was a little nervous the green stains would be especially tough to get out but Southwest Cleaners did an amazing job and the dress looks new again! I am so happy with the result and highly recommend Southwest Cleaners for your dry cleaning needs. I had a shirt dry cleaned and they totally ruined it. Was able to go to a different dry cleaner and they fixed it. Didn't even offer a refund. Terrible drycleaner. NEVER GO HERE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY. Owners are greedy af and try to blame stuff on you when they are the ones responsible for it. I would give this place a negative star if I could. read more

Why hasn't there been a review since 2014? We took two blazers and a brand new pair of pants in. The pants are brand new, never worn. They smelled so bad that I could smell them when I put them on. Brand new pants. My wife took the pants and blazers back tonight. The owner claimed they didn't smell, and said it must be our house. Refused to re-do them, refused to give us our $30 back, and yelled at my wife and kicked her out of his store. She was treated horrendously. We live close by, so have taken our clothes there consistently and they've been okay, although we don't own a lot of clothes that need dry-cleaning. You've chosen the wrong women to fuck with. Now it's time to make some calls to BBB, WA AG, County, City, and post some reviews on the many different community blogs and social media outlets. DON'T GO THERE! read more

I was nervous reading the other Yelp reviews after I had already dropped off some slacks and a shirt. The amount I was charged came to $11.50 I believe. I checked to see how that compares to other places in the area out of curiosity, and it was probably $2 more. Not a big deal. When I left my clothes at the cleaners, there wasn't a computer system that my info was entered into. Rather, my name and phone number were written in pencil on small red ticket--the ones used in raffle drawings. The system struck me as a more than a little dated and maybe unsecure, but whatever... I did not use their service but the older gentlemen who works at this store was incredibly rude. I simply parked my car outside of their store in the 15 minute parking zone. He stared at me for like 5 minutes, awkwardly. As soon as I came out of my car, he came out waving his arms to say I wasn't allowed to park there. It was a 15 minute parking zone until 6pm l, and it was 5:30pm when I parked. I couldn't believe this person was just monitoring this parking spot. I would never come to this place for their service or ever want to interact with this man ever again. read more

unfortunately have to change my review to a bad one. When it comes to clothes, they were initially pretty good albeit a bit expensive. I took a canopy cover for my house in Portland in to be altered. I knew it was going to be a troublesome job and was prepared to pay for it. I gave them the old worn cover to compare and even gave them exact measurements. I came back 2 weeks later but the finished product felt too big. I asked for the old cover back to compare but they said they had thrown it out. I again said that it was too big, and even showed the marks that I had made on the material itself, which were still present and not where the alterations had been done. They swore it was right so I took it and drove it all the way to Portland to find out, sure enough, it was too big. When I came back in to town I took it back to them they said they wouldn't fix it! They said the job was too "tough" but I had already paid them $40 to do this correctly. I ended up having to take it to another alterations place and pay another $40 to get it done right. Fairly bad customer service experience in my opinion, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I'm blown away by the negative reviews here. I've used these folks for the entire 21 years that I've lived in West Seattle. Years ago when I was traveling for business a lot I brought in dozens of dress shirts per month to be washed and starched, and all my dress suits for cleaning. I've also had them do alterations very successfully. I never had a single problem with him. They always remember my name and are super friendly. We do not use them for extremely exotic cleaning jobs but for everyday work they're just tops. read more

Sorry to write unfavorable review. I took a cardigan sweater for cleaning, was told 7.50. When picked up he said 12. I spoke up with the quoted price he changed the price. Won't be back. Been here a few times and every time I have problems with the older gentleman who is terrible at customer service. Today charged my card $285 for a zipper change! He has no idea what he is doing, how to run the machine. I've been here before and he told me my clothes were gone because he did not ask how to spell my last name when looking it up. Took in a 3 piece suit to be dry cleaned and mended. I've had the suit for just over a year and wear it 3 - 4 times a month, never had it cleaned in all that time. A pocket seam had ripped and I stitched it together myself very poorly. The buttons were coming looks and a jacket pocket had a tear in the seam. I had to get out of town in a hurry but needed the suit cleaned and mended before I left. They completed it in 2 days (plenty of time) and the suit came out looking new for a very good price. Sorry other people have had bad experiences here but mine was very positive. read more

Wow! I'm surprised by the bad reviews and so glad I didn't see them before taking my husband's suit in for cleaning and repairs. They were able to get it done in two days and the mending was done so well that it looks brand new. The price for cleaning and mending came to $38! For a three piece suit. Total bargain. I continue to be impressed and amazed by this family owned business! I don't generally have a lot of dry cleaning, but the minute I walk in the door, no ticket needed, they greet me warmly by name and, as neighbors, genuinely want to get to know me and engage in conversation! This takes me back to my parents and grandparents time, when all of the neighborhood businesses knew you personally. It is a lost art. And, the attention to detail . . . once I brought in a pair of slacks and had a missing button that I forgot to mention. They noticed it and fixed it for me! The customer service is terrible, the employee/owner attitudes are horrendous, apparently similar to other reviews on here. We simply parked outside in the 15 minute parking slip at 5:45PM which ended at 6:00PM therefore after 6:00PM is free and available parking all evening. The man who I assume owns the place had the audacity to yell at my boyfriend that he could not park there then proceeded to yell at me as well. We took a picture of the sign, the time, and the parking location of the vehicle. I would never take my items here due to the sheer ignorance and absolute disrespect simply for parking in a legal spot which just so happened to be located directly outside of his business. read more

I have been there one time. Good interaction and demeanor from every employee. Caveat is I only had some dress shirts cleaned and pressed, price and turnaround time were great ($2 per shirt). I cannot speak to the quality of their other services as of yet so for now I would definitely take my shirts back. read more
