I've taken some items in the past to have alterations done. They were promt and respectful, and frankly, less than I would have expected to pay. In order to reclaim my clothing though, I had to go through this insanely long process of pulling a claim ticket out of my pocket. It took nearly 2 seconds! It was a nightmare come to life. Unlke another reviewer here - lets call her "a-hole" for privacy, I actually kept my claim ticket then later produced it to claim my clothing. Guess what? (you may need to sit down for this)... I got ALL of my items back. The process was purely transactional. To my complete surprise I was truly shocked by what happened next: I gave my claim ticket to the employee, they went into the back, then reappeared with pressed and plastic wrapped clothng! The horror! What I didnt do is make reviews of attempted theft of, say, a jacket because I was dumb enough to assume that they'd just let me walk around in the back room touching other people's dry cleaning, then going on line to make a bad review falsely accusing them of trying to steal what was probably a regretful choice of outerwear. Anyway, I'd like to thank them for being honest and upstanding people. Id also like to thank them for upholding store policies like, say, making sure you actually have a claim ticket in order to get our merchandise back, and in keeping would-be thieves from wandering around in their back room. Had some alterations to some shirts, and my hi end iron put rust on an expensive shirt. Nu-Tone somehow got the heat infused rust out, and nailed the difficult alterations. read more

First time at this dry cleaners. I went there to be supportive of the neighborhood businesses. I dropped off a set of curtians. I outlined two spots with the owner, which he said he could get out. When I picked up the curtains, the spots were still there, additionally there was some sort of liquid stain on the edge of one curtain. I was in a hurry and he assured me they looked great. When I arrived home not only had they shrunk but one was 2 inches shorter than the other. Never again. If you had an issue, tell the customer and go from there. If there were less than one star, this business would have earned it. Don't bother. read more

ZERO STAR Dropped off item coat on Wednesday, 12/19. Owner quoted my item would be ready for pick up Friday, 12/21, 3-4 pm. I get there without my receipt (I've picked up items before w/o receipt and just have last name), and I describe my item: puffy Black North Face long ankle length down coat -- you would think this would be hard to miss. He claims he couldn't find it on his rack of items to be picked up. I spell my name last name and remind him that it is with an S. I asked maybe he filed the coat under my first name. He quickly walks to the back room to look at all sections that he could've possibly file my coat under. Eventually, we go through the whole rack that's immediate to the front desk. Frustrated and in disbelief, I offer that I go look into the other room where I see other racks full of clothes and he can watch me, but he didn't seem to register. Then, I started to ask if there was a third-party, like a cleaner that comes into the building, because now I was suspecting that it could've been stolen or he was trying to keep my coat if I don't produce a receipt. My second question was do you items leave the building to get cleaned somewhere else, he said no. He then told me to come back tomorrow with the receipt. I asked him how does a receipt help when he can't find it on the rack, yet didn't seem to look hard enough at the other racks. As of this receipt had GPS? He didn't reply with a good answer to explain, but smiled and said to come back with the receipt. Livid and trying to contain my cool, I explained that the coat was a gift, worth $500, and need it to go in a trip to cold Midwest. Got home, found the receipt, called him with ticket number, and that he marked 'Rack 12'. He said he'd call me back. He call back in a few minutes, and miraculously found the coat! Picked up coat the next day and he discounted half the charge. After this hassle, I'm NEVER going back and it's a shame that I felt they were eye'ing my coat to keep if I didn't find my receipt. IF I COULD GIVE 10 STARS I WOULD!!! I have been regularly coming to this dry cleaner for a somewhat over a year now, and the results always have me leave as a satisfied customer... I am always looking for consistency, high quality, and the best customer service experience, because I want my money to be used wisely... And while a customer to Nu-tone cleaners, my needs are met. Not very many dry cleaners will allow you to do next day pick up for multiple articles, but I don't have a problem here! Having being employed in Health Administration, as well as food & beverage, I typically have a plethora of button up shirts, pants, polos, jeans, etc. The owner, Mr. Kim is a very pleasant man to talk to, very people oriented, and truly desires to satisfy his customers. He has been in business for many reasons, and you can tell why when you converse with him, especially at the time of pick up, when your clothes are incredibly cleaned. I drive 25 minutes to be a regular at a business where I know I'll be impressed. I NEVER have to worry about whether my clothes will be as I asked because of Mr. Kim's simplicity, you ask for it, he can deliver the result. We have used Nu-Tone many times, mostly for my husbands shirts, they were always ok. They were never very friendly, but they did an ok job. This last time though they over pressed his shirts causing damage to the collars and sleeves, ruining some of his favorite shirts. We will not be going back. read more

Locally family owned business! Has been here for years! You get what you pay for and dry cleaners and tailoring clothes their work is consistent and priced accordingly. I've gotten Suits & dress shirts cleaned for years and had shorts and hoodie Zippers fixed and with or without receipt never had a problem picking up my clothes. Great Local Business read more

I would leave no stars if possible. By far the worst dry cleaning and shirt service experience of my life. Clothes don't even look or smell like they were cleaned in any way, pressing is horrible. Shirts were done as 'blouses', ridiculous! Paid $55 for 6 'blouses' and 1 sweater, which looks untouched other than being hung on hanger. Man who took my shirts and my money when I picked them up seems to wish he was someplace else. My complaints were met with eye rolls and a distant gaze. read more

I brought my clothes here and am in shock at the poor quality of service I am left with in exchange for the money I spent. My items came back smelling WORSE then when I brought them in. I am going to have to hand wash them to get the smell out from how they came back smelling. Stains on the clothing were not even attempted to be taken out because I know most of them would have came out. I've been coming here for ten years or more. Never had a bad experience, always have clean clothes and he calls me when the are done. The dogs name is Jason he loves treats. The man behind the counter is a good 'man. He works hard. He's tired at times because of some significant health issues he's dealing with.
