I usually take items here to be mended because they do a good job but today when I went to pick up my order, I said I don't need the hanger to avoid throwing it away later. The man who helped me (I was the only customer there and they didn't seem busy) sighed and snapped at me to tell him that when I place my order implying that I was wasting his time. I was shocked at his rudeness but simply said "yes, sir" and left. New to the neighborhood and I was looking around to have some of my corporate attire dry cleaned. Yelp had pretty good reviews for West Seattle Cleaners and they are just 5 mins away from my house so thought I will give them a try. They did not disappoint. I had a few stains on a light colored coat and was worried that will not go away but those stains are history now and my coats look brand new. All this for $13 per coat is really good value for money. I had to wait for 3 days to get my clothes back but that isnt bad - it is dry cleaned after all. The staff is friendly. They do take COVID seriously - mask up, if you do not have one buy one from their store, huge bottle of hand sanitizer for folks to use it, shield between the customers and staff! Pretty safe to go here during the pandemic. I am personally glad I found reliable dry cleaners near by and for sure they will have my business for the years to come. Highly recommend them. read more

This was my first time using this location and I really appreciated their services! I needed a coat dry cleaned that was frizzy and had a musty odor. I dropped it off on a Tuesday and got it back a few days later, where they did look to have a ton of inventory. For $20 my coat looks (and smells!) brand new again, so I'm happy. This used to be a great place for dry cleaning and repairs. However, I recently had a garment repaired here, but the repair broke almost immediately. When I brought the garment back in, I was treated rudely by the guy working the store. The previous owners would have never tolerated such unhelpful service. I was a customer for 5 years and continued bringing my clothing here even after the new owners took over. For the most part the cleaning was fine but there were a few times when I picked up my clothing and they still smelled dirty. This last time, I had paid for a rush cleaning due to an upcoming business trip, only to find that my suit strongly smelled like mold just before leaving for my flight. I was SOL and called the owner, who said they could either clean the clothing again or give me a refund. I should have just took the refund as after the second cleaning, the clothing smelled like mold and now I'm not sure whether another cleaner will be able to remove the smell. The owner said that sometimes the clothing doesn't dry, but to have back to back issues and potential permanent smell on ~$700 worth of clothing is just unacceptable. I have used West Seattle Cleaners for a few years and have started using them much more after coming out of lockdown. Their prices are good and they stay open until 7pm. From slacks, to baseball caps, to ornate western shirts, they have always done a great job. I'm writing this review because of the great service received from their front desk representative, Javier. He is fast, happy, he smiles, and he remembers you after coming in few times. Javier is the epitome of great service. You know how automated systems will ask "on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the highest, how would you rate the customer service representative who helped you" ? Well, I would give this guy a 5 if the question was "would you START a business with the rep who just helped you?". Five stars. Keep up the good work! read more

Brought my clothes in and they were done a week later. I'm not well versed in the cost of dry cleaning, but I had a silk 2-piece dress, suit pant&jacket and button down cleaned for $47; to me that seemed reasonable. Clothes came out fine, nothing to complain about. The owners were friendly and offered to walk my items out to my car which I declined because I was literally parked a foot away from the door, but it was nice of them to offer. I would suggest coming here during non-rush hour times just because it's situated in the middle of probably the busiest intersection of west Seattle. read more

I saw many positive reviews for West Seattle Cleaners so I took a dress in that needed to be cleaned. I had ordered a brand new dress to attend a formal wedding, but when it arrived it smelled horrendous. The chemical smell gave me a headache so I thought maybe dry cleaning could remove the smell. The lady was very nice and said that she couldn't guarantee this would remove the smell but we could try and it would be about $22. I don't get many things dry cleaned so that seemed super reasonable to me. I dropped it off on a Friday and she had it ready on Monday for me. Sadly, the smell did not go away entirely (although it was much less) so I returned the dress. I was really happy with the service at West Seattle cleaners though. I will definitely bring more items that need dry clean only here. read more

DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH CLOTHES YOU CARE ABOUT I don't come here a lot, usually 2-4 events/year require me to wear a nice suit or a fancy dress that I need to get professionally cleaned, but I've been bringing everything here for the last 4 years since we bought our place. I brought a brand new black jacket in at the beginning of the year, primarily to get it pressed because it was wrinkled when I bought it. I leave all my black suits in plastic when I bring them home to protect them from white cat hair. So, I was dismayed when I took my jacket out to wear to a fundraising gala last month and found it covered in strange tacky white gunk. Some of the white stuff came off with a damp cloth, and my wife thought it must be their soap, so I figured it would come out. When I had the time to drive to West Seattle to bring it in, I wasn't even upset anymore. I figured they'd know what the white stuff was, be apologetic, and take care of it. So, when I brought it in, I was relaxed and friendly. However, the woman there immediately accused me of lying - making the story up to what? scam them out of a $9 cleaning bill?? After being told I was lying several times I got upset; then she said she'd "clean it this time for free, but never again". At that point, I no longer wanted to leave the jacket (or the other items I'd brought), because if she could not take responsibility for what they'd done, I did not trust them with my clothes. She had the gall to tell me she would not clean any of my other clothes because she was "afraid I'd make up new stains." I told her I wanted my jacket back and she refused! I had to argue with her for several minutes before she would return it me. I'm crossing my fingers now its not ruined. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR WEDDING DRESS HERE!!! They fired the "professional" restorer and are totally incapable of cleaning wedding dresses. I brought my one of a kind made for me dress and discovered an ink stain, like a tag leaked or someone wrote on a shirt on top of the lining, WHEN I UNWRAPPED IT FROM THE CLEANERS. They DENIED responsibility!!! The only people who have touched the dress are my designer, myself and this crappy cleaners. I'm definitely considering small claims court since they only refunded me the price of the cleaning. Beware!! read more

Tragedy with a happy ending...it was a brand new silk white (yeah, of course it was white) blouse and a glass of red wine that went flying across the table...all over the blouse and I mean ALL over. Awkward!!!! So I figured there goes $250 down the drain. The next day I yelped cleaners and saw w seattle cleaners reviews were awesome. I'd been a customer before and was always satisfied but had never put them to the test with something so trashed. I also googled wine and silk and the diagnosis did not look promising. Best cure scenarios factored in immediate treatment and dry cleaners are not open Sundays do I had to wait til Monday! I brought it in Monday morning and showed it to the guy at the counter. I asked him if he thought it would come out and he seemed positive. I appreciated his enthusiasm but had my doubts. I thanked him and left. For the next 2 days I worried, ok obsessed , about my stupid blouse. I know this sounds ridiculous but it is pretty awesome and I really didn't want to repurchase it but I knew I would. I went to pick it up Wednesday and here's where I began to realize how awesome this place is. I walked in without the ticket and the guy says "white blouse, right ?" Then he asked the dry cleaner guy in back if it was done and gave him my name without even looking of up . Dry cleaner guy came out and apologized to me and said the stain hadn't come out yet but asked if he could work on if another day. The next day he called me and asked for one more day! The guy had been working on the thing or 4 days!! I said of course and thanked him for caring so much about this job. Finally on Friday afternoon I walked into the shop holding my breath. The guy had my blouse in hand before the door even shut. The blouse was perfect! Stains gone! I almost hugged him but controlled myself. The final price tag? $6.50!!!!! So this one time I got married. Well, actually twice. It's kind of a long story...But since you're on Yelp, you're probably at work and wasting time, so read on. I got married twice- to the same person. And needed my dress cleaned to wear again. Here's the story: We got married once in September, and again in December. Why, you ask? Well, our ceremony in September wasn't legal...but then Washington passed gay marriage, so we did it legally, and badaboom- we got to do it for real! But back to the review of West Seattle Cleaners. I had taken lots of garments to West Seattle Cleaners before- lots of work shirts and pants- nothing too crazy stained or ridiculous. Everything always came back to us promptly and in great shape, and at a great price. But then I brought them the wedding dress from hell. Seriously this thing was a wreck. I had tromped through lavender fields and done the hava nagila on a chair, wine spills and cake stains- it looked almost like a trash the dress session, but I only gotten married in it. Oh yeah, and I had cut the little hanger tassels out of the armpits because they were annoying me- oops. So I took the dress into Tom and his crew and said "So, if possible, I'd like to wear this again." He looked at me like the crazy lady that I am and said "Well, I can't make any guarantees, but I'll try my best." Two weeks later, I kid you not, the dress was back, and looked brand new. I have no idea what they did to it, but all the grass stains were gone, and had new hanger tassels sown into it. It was so nice to be able to wear the dress again for our legal ceremony and celebration thanks to his magic! His team also does wedding gown preservation and alterations. I want 3 things from a dry cleaner: 1) Clean my clothes, 2) Meet your stated deadline, 3) Be nice to me. West Seattle Cleaners excels at all 3, and they are my go-to dry cleaners, even if they aren't the closest to me. I have always been pleased with the quality job they do for both my clothes and my husband's clothes. I think they must have some sort of magic, stain removing wand, because there have been a few things that I thought might have seen their last rodeo. I have never, ever had them miss a deadline. Things are always done when they say they are done. The end. I LOVE that! I also feel their prices are very reasonable. Side note- if you hate ironing shirts, get your shirts laundered. They'll press them, and it's not expensive at all. Best of all- no ironing! :) I always get greeted with a smile and receive a lightning fast response when I walk into the cleaners. I came here based off of the reviews here on Yelp. The 5 stars they have is well-deserved. The workers here are all extremely friendly. I came here with 5 pairs of jeans that all needed to be hemmed and then some. When I told them I needed to have them rushed, they quickly told me it would be no issue at all and could have them all done by Tuesday morning (I came in on a Friday afternoon) since they're seamstress was already out, didn't work Saturday's, and they were closed Sunday's. I've had people tell me it would cost additional to have items rushed, so this was a relief. For 5 pairs of pants to be hemmed, 2 buttons changed out, and a belt loop sewn back on, I paid a total of $80. This is pretty good considering that most places are $20 to have the hemming done. I appreciate how fast they were, how perfectly done my jeans were, and how friendly they were. I will definitely be back for future hemming! :) read more

Three strikes you are out. I have been to West Seattle Cleaners 3 times. The first time one of pillow covers was damaged, the second one they gave us the wrong blanket and game someone else ours, we were able to get it swapped but it was a pain. And this last time I paid to have the cuff on a pair of pants re-hemmed since it kept falling out. I was charged and it was not done. All Three visits had over $100 worth of cleaning. The cleaning was great but not worth the problems. There is a dry cleaners 100 feet down the street. read more

Awesome place. They have good prices for the work that they do. I came in to get my suit dry cleaned as well as a shirt and overall I believe it came out to be 15 dollars. Can't remember the price but I remember it not being too bad. I got the suit and shirt back a couple days later and it looked great, they were able to get a stain out of my shirt that I wasn't sure they would be able to get out and everything looked great! I wouldn't recommend this place. I came in on Monday asking for my blazer to be dry cleaned. I requested if it could be done by the next day (Tuesday) and the worker at the front happily obliged! They said to come by the next day at 3pm and everything should be ready. When I get there the next day at 4pm, it's a new person. I tell them about my blazer and they retrieve it. The person at the front told me they haven't creased it yet, which is odd, as the person yesterday told me that it would be ready for me. The price I had to pay was $18, but my blazer seemed untouched. My mom often uses these types of services and is sure that there was nothing new about it. These guys are amazing. After hearing great things and seeing the reviews, I decided to try them with a mess on one of my favorite coats. I brought in a cream colored down coat that had significant black fabric stains on it. I thought there was no way those stains would ever come out. They did an incredible job and the stains are GONE-- as in, there is no trace a stain ever existed. The job was tricky and they told me they had to try a few different things to make it work, but they put forth that extra effort to make sure I was fully satisfied with the job and I am beyond thrilled.
