New to the neighborhood and I was looking around to have some of my corporate attire dry cleaned. Yelp had pretty good reviews for West Seattle Cleaners and they are just 5 mins away from my house so thought I will give them a try. They did not disappoint. I had a few stains on a light colored coat and was worried that will not go away but those stains are history now and my coats look brand new. All this for $13 per coat is really good value for money. I had to wait for 3 days to get my clothes back but that isnt bad - it is dry cleaned after all. The staff is friendly. They do take COVID seriously - mask up, if you do not have one buy one from their store, huge bottle of hand sanitizer for folks to use it, shield between the customers and staff! Pretty safe to go here during the pandemic. I am personally glad I found reliable dry cleaners near by and for sure they will have my business for the years to come. Highly recommend them.

This was my first time using this location and I really appreciated their services! I needed a coat dry cleaned that was frizzy and had a musty odor. I dropped it off on a Tuesday and got it back a few days later, where they did look to have a ton of inventory. For $20 my coat looks (and smells!) brand new again, so I'm happy. I will definitely use them again in the future with this coat.

Cheap washers?!? What's not to like?…read more I came to this location at the recommendation of a thread I posted on an online forum looking for cheap laundry services. I'm particular about the way I wash my clothes & quite honestly prefer to handwash them; that way, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am washing them how I feel is correct. So when I posted in the forum asking for a place I could go & wash my laundry "for the items that are too big to hand wash", West Seattle Laundrette immediately jumped off the page due to its weekly promotion for cheap washers. The largest caveat here is the staff or locals aren't overly thrilled about having newcomers coming to what they feel is their section of Seattle. I've now gone to that location twice as of today & honestly don't forsee myself returning. The first time I visited this location on July 8th, I came with open expectations as to what to expect. I travelled via public transit with my laundry in a nearly 2-hour round trip & was immediately met by some elderly Anglo-Saxon woman complaining about people being overly aggressive & how the person was insinuating that she was stealing their laundry. Her reasoning for not being the prime suspect was due to her age & race, stating, "Your clothes aren't my style." All well & good despite the fact the story allegedly stemmed from several weeks earlier & she kept making awkward eye contact with me while gossiping with another patron. Easily remedied. I put a pair of headphones on & tried my hardest not to communicate with anyone at the location. I brought everything I needed to complete my task to quarters, so I didn't see a need to engage in small talk. Today being the 2nd time, despite how off the vibe was 2 weeks ago, I returned. This time to find the entire location having its washers occupied. Bizarre, but perfectly plausible. Again, the largest caveat here is that there were only 2 people inside of the facility. Judging by the 1st visit, the insinuation is pretty clear. "You're" not welcome. I'm guessing the thought process here is "they" can sit around & wait for drugs all day; "they" can sit & wait for "us" to finish using the washing machines. Never mind the fact I don't drink or use alcohol, but these days anyone with any sort of complexion is immediately profiled. Sad but true. If you've got money, I'd suggest going somewhere else. If you don't have money, I'd suggest looking for somewhere else.

I will never go back…read more I parked briefly in the back area to get change and returned within five minutes to a $122 ticket. My car was on, lights on, and I was in and out. You're expected to pay to park and pay to use the laundry, which was not clearly communicated. When I tried to resolve this, no one replied to my emails. They claim a five-day ticket payment policy, yet it's been weeks with zero response. Meanwhile, the fee continues to hang over you with no way to make it right. I've lived in West Seattle for years and recently moved back, and I had no idea these were the parking circumstances. The enforcement feels predatory, the communication is nonexistent, and the entire experience felt like a cash grab rather than legitimate parking management

My clothes were cleaned…read morewell but I felt so bad from the customer service I put it in the back of my mind so I didn't write a review. I recently moved to Los Angeles and found a new dry cleaners down the street from me that charged me half the cost for the same items which was refreshing. I thought of this place and wanted to leave a review to warn people how bad this was. These people were hostile, defensive, and greedy. They kept on hassling me about my clothes and texting me for approval for new costs. The texting person gave me an estimate and sent me like over 10 photos of my clothes to point out all the stains and hair that was on my clothes and repeatedly told me my clothes were wrinkled and very dirty. This was unnecessary and made me feel attacked and shamed. Like WTF?? I just wanted them to clean my clothes not pick faults with me! Instead, they acted like they were taking me to court! So much unnecessary stress and hassle for dry cleaners! They ended up charging me over $50 more than originally estimated because my clothes were oh so hard to clean and so dirty. Despite going over the original estimate, they still hassled and tried to guilt me for tip at the end saying they gave me a deal. What deal? Your services are super expensive! The tone they texted me was just so very rude it's like they didn't want me as a customer. I never fought them on the expensive costs but they were hostile from the start. I ended up going back to my previous dry cleaners, City Custom Tailor & Dry Cleaners in Belltown. They are not cheap either, but a little less expensive and they are chill. I do not think cheap dry cleaning exists in Seattle but this service sucks.

I reached out to this service over email because of an issue and received an incredibly unhelpful…read moreand unempathetic, less than a full sentence response back. Will not ever use this service just for lack of decent customer care. Edit: It's funny that the response to my review got more of an explanation than the email (which for the record was left at "Sorry there is nothing we can do with dye transfer.") My inquiry was not rude in any way and warranted a more thoughtful reply. It is absolutely within my rights to leave a 1-star review as a reflection of my experience with a business's subpar communication. If you look at the other low reviews for this business, you'll see a pattern of poor communication skills. Service isn't just left at the product. It goes all the way to effective communication, of which this business has none, other than to double down and defend themselves anytime someone has criticism.

I have only been treated worse by one other company. The owner of this cleaner is arrogant,…read moredisrespectful and not worth your money! Stay away from House of Kleen. There are so many other cleaners in West Seattle. This is a terrible, terrible company. Here is my story: I moved to West Seattle about nine months ago and have never had a problem with any of my dress shirts. Some were old, some were brand new. But they all got ripped at House of Kleen. The elbows were definitely worn (they're dress shirts, after all) but again I have never, ever had an issue with my shirts until I started going here. As soon as I start going here, my dress shirts start ripping in the elbows. Something is going on at this cleaner and it is not good business. I am so mad this happened. I used to have 10 dress shirts, now I have three and I have to go buy more. All of them ripped at House of Kleen. When I confronted the owner, he flipped out. "I don't ruin shirts. You ruin shirts. Your fault. You don't come back here." Needless to say, I was stunned. He wouldn't even listen to me. He simply refuted my claims and yelled at me. I yelled back, naturally. It was embarrassing. Please don't go here. I am out hundreds of dollars of nice shirts and have nothing to show for it. House of Kleen is a disgraceful company with a bad owner who does not care for his customers. If I could rate this business lower than one star, I would.

Well.... Up until today we had great service and virtually no issues. If memory serves me correctly…read morewe've been a customer for almost 2 years. That said, we ran into an issue where our clothes that were returned smelled like smoke. First time its ever happened so I called their number and spoke with Steve and explained the situation. He said they do not have anyone in their facility who smokes (we don't smoke at our house) and that they haven't received any other complaints. He offered to clean for free but could not pick up for 2 weeks. The two week delay is an issue as this was most of my button up shirts and I asked if I can get it cleaned locally and they reimburse us for the bill. Steve's response caught me off guard when he said "Sure, we'll reimburse you and then you can stop being our customer." Wow! Super hostile response and completely unexpected. Note: I wasn't upset with him regarding smoke smell and was genuinely trying to reach a mutually beneficial solution. I pushed back and asked why he would fire us as a customer and he back tracked and said he was "very busy" and "fine you can still be a customer, but I am busy and have things to do" and kept pushing me off the phone. Again, not sure what happened here and would have been happy to continue service even with the hiccup of smoke smell in our clothes if we could have reached a resolution. A shame we have to stop using them. Up until this point we were very satisfied.

Clothes arrive cleaned, pressed, and without the starchy residue that haunts shirts from some other places. Monthly payment by check is easy.
