My husband sees Dr. Dave and he's AMAZING!! Very patient and doesn't make you feel like you're just another patient to him. Explains everything till you understand and always a happy guy. If I'm just rating on the doctor alone, it'll be 5 stars but the front desk would be 0 stars! They are rude and impatient! Terrible. I saw two different specialists and neither of them knew what was wrong with me, they had to ask their supervisors who told them what to order for me test wise. I never received the tests to my home and could never book in for a follow up because they didn't book appointments three months out. Waste of time and money read more

My initial appt. with the PA was disappointing. She noted "colon cancer" before I had even had a procedure. I can't tell you how disconcerting and shocking it was to read that on the appt. notes that were emailed to me. We never even discussed that during the initial appointment. I called and spoke with her and asked if this was a "presumptive diagnosis" and how it might be a bit terrifying for a patient to read this not even having a procedure yet. She also noted that I said I would be taking GLP-1 in the future which was incorrect, I said there was a possibility I might be taking Fosamax in the future. I had my procedure, no colon cancer. I waited 1-1/2 hours after my scheduled procedure time to final get in for my procedure. Dr. Anaparthy was sweet but the pre and post procedure visits were so rushed I was surprised. I have never had an experience like that before. Overbooking?? If you call the office with questions forget about a call back. You'll have to keep calling back to finally reach a live person. No thanks...If I ever have to do this again I'll have my medical records transferred to another Gastro. read more

Breanna Baker was a waste of three years that went here. Never saw dr, only physician assistant, Breana. 10 min phone call vs office visit was $60. I thought I was okay but then changed offices. I have serious issues that Breanna couldn't figure out. This was a joke. read more

I believe anyone who truly understands why our society is continuing to suffer health consequences from "unknown factors", knows it all stems from leaders whom we trust, such as specialists like doctors here at Southwest GI. They won't discuss nutrition, lifestyle choices, or habitual routines, instead they will discuss the newest drug they were just informed about 10 minutes prior to your visit. I suggest each of you to do proper research on your own into Dr. Niel Dave's early career. You tell me if this is a man with integrity and dignity to truly help humans, or just another salesman trying to get an extra paycheck. Please do your research on the specialists here at Southwest GI, before they really manipulate/take advantage of your current health status. read more

There's horrible patient care, then there's this place. My wife suffers from acute UC, and thanks to these people she's been over a week now without her medication. Anyone with this illness knows how serious this is, but they could care less. The last straw came when they decided to MAIL her script instead of calling it in to her pharmacy. That was last Friday, and still nothing. This morning she requested a script be sent to the pharmacy, and they said they'd send it right away. FOUR HOURS LATER the pharmacy doesn't have it! She calls the office and is told "Oh we just sent it". WHAT?! These people care NOTHING about their patients, or the misery they inflict on them. We'll be looking for a better doctor, although these people set a very low bar. I'd avoid them at all costs. read more

Dr. Niel Dave is amazing! I came to AZ to get help with a gastrointestinal issues that other doctors were unable to resolve in my home community, which is in California. I was referred to him by a friend who is also a physician and Dr. Dave was great about getting me in. What impressed me the most was how quickly Dr. Dave caught up to speed with my issues and his knowledge about what could be going on. I could tell right away that he got it and really understood his field. What I appreciated about his approach is that he was able to get my testing completed from home and worked with me remotely to resolve my issues. I can't recommend him enough, I'll be a patient for life! Also, the staff were great at the office, check-in and prescription filling is extremely efficient! read more

*5/4/2020 Staff and Dr Anaparthy are friendly but beware when you have an issue, you will not find any help from Dr. Anaparthy or this office. I was setup with a procedure at the Abrazo West Campus. The hospital anesthesiologist could not get an IV started on me. After poking me 8 times, and causing me much pain due to the amount of sticks, and filling my arm with IV fluids instead of my vein, I had to tell them to stop and cancel the procedure. Since my torture session at Abrazo, they've since billed me for the procedure and for administering anesthesia to me. Well I'm not sure how you can administer anesthesia without an IV but they'll say they did and charge you for it. I've got nobody on my side except Dr. Anaparthy whom if she could write a short 2 sentence letter for me to give Abrazo West, that would go a long way helping me get this incorrect billing sorted out. After calling Dr. Anaparthy's office pleading for help to write a one or two sentence letter for help, I was told she doesn't do that and to not expect any help from them. I'm out approximately $1500 for a procedure that never happened and anesthesia that was never administered. Stay far way from Southwest Gastroenterology and Abrazo West campus. I will adjust this review depending on the outcome. Thanks for reading. **5/6/2020 Since writing this review, I've mailed a 3 page letter stating my case to the Abrazo Resolution Service Dept. I was contacted by them just 2 days after writing this review. They've issued a verbal apology for billing me for the procedure that did not occur, and for anesthesia that was never administered. They explained they were investigating why I was charged the approximate $1500, but they were retracting it immediately. It must be noted there was no assistance from Southwest Gastroenterology to help my case. This place was very nasty the walls in the room where you wait to see the Drs in the back were so disgusting that I almost got up and left. There were some kind of red spots on the wall near my chair that looked like blood to me. There was some dried liquid on two walls under the hand sanitizer dispenser and the wall beside my chair. Who knows what kinda of germs are in there I have pictures if I could figure out how to download them from my phone I would show you all. Be careful if you go in there and wash your hands. To potential new patients: Don't bother calling if you do not have your past medical records... even if its been years and you don't recall the prior Dr.(s) names. First let me just say that my husband is (was) a patient of Southwest gastrointerology, and he was very happy with Dr. Anaparthy/her husband. and the treatment he received there. It would be dishonest to say otherwise. And its that very reason I called to schedule an appointment today. I was told that because I do not recall who my prior G.I. doctors were and therefore I could not obtain records, They would not see me. Both the receptionist and the office manager, named Diana, were very kind and levelheaded as they told me "no." After many minutes of trying to get them to understand that its been years and I don't recall the doctor's name, I got upset (not yelling, but still upset from pure frustration), I told them that I was going to share a review. At that point Diana, said that I threatened them by saying I would write a "horrible" review (which I didn't say - I just said "review") and because of that she then refused to provide service to me in anyway (even if I could find my records). She told me to go to Banner Health. I have a minor health issue causing me to occasionally have breathing and swallowing problems.... when I asked for a referral, she said "we don't do that." again, let me be truthful Diana was very "kind" and her tone very pleasant the entire time - but it felt inauthentic and condescending more than caring. She knew I would be writing a review. This review is not against Dr. Anaparthy, but the rigidity if the "office policy" and the staff's unwillingness to work with you if its been years and you are unable to get your records. Here's the bottom line: unless you know your entire medical history and can obtain it I would not even bother calling. read more

Yesterday was my first visit to this office and I was very impressed with the professionalism of this office. I was referred by my PCP and found Dr. Baker to be excellent at what she does. I presented her with prior copies of labs and tests done and she actually took the time to read the reports and asked questions and took notes of my answers which most doctors don't bother! I found Dr. Baker to be excellent and highly skilled at what she does, and most importantly LISTENED to everything I had to say!! Additionally, when I checked out with Christina, she also was very professional and accommodating. Overall, this was an excellent first visit and look forward to establishing an ongoing relationship with this office and will gladly refer anyone looking for an excellent doctor in this field. The receptionist seems a little short tempered. Both times I spoke over the phone with her she had a horrible attitude. We get it you hate your job. There was a confusion over the phone when I originally scheduled with her (granted I was in a noisy store, my bad) and I thought they were doing zoom meetings only due to covid. When I found out my copay was $160 today I began expressing my concern over paying that much money and not being able to be physically seen by a doctor (so they can listen to bowel sounds, palpate, do tests, etc). Well that was a mistake. She was quick to inform me how wrong I was, that they CAN in fact have in-person appointments and SHE DID IN FACT tell me and SHE KNOWS because SHE was the one who made the appointment. I understand her frustration over the confusion, but it's just poor customer service. I had to hang up as she began TALKING OVER ME. I get an email two seconds later that "my patient portal has been deleted". The absolute immaturity and pettiness. What a poor representation of this practice. And my dr even recommended because of the good customer service. Yikes. read more

This front office staff, does not help and blames the patients. When i arrived yesterday their was an older patient that had fell on her face from her wheelchair in the lobby. The staff cleaned up the blood joked asking each other if they had band aids and proceeded to put 2 band aids on her arm. Mind you she was alone, both arms were bleeding and her forehead was straight bruised from the fall and bleeding. I told the front office staff that she should go to the ER, they then talked to each other in Spanish about it. So me being a social worker I went and spoke with the woman herself convinced her to be checked out by the ER and told them to call the ambulance for her and asked if they could get her a dang ice pack for her head.. SMH this already had me riled at the lack of concern for this injured (head) elderly women he was waiting for transportation service and was alone. Then I arrived at 220 apt was 245, couple weeks prior I was told they would verify my new insurance, this was not done so they had me there standing waiting for over and hour so they could "verify" my insurance. In the meantime the lady doing it was rude and not considerate at all, she also used the time to update their address due to that had not been done so they were not showing contracted, this was the biggest part of the delay.. After all this time and it now being 325 (again apt was at 245 and i had been there since 220) i was told my copay would be $150 and I had to pay it up front, the "office manager said this" I asked for the boss she said she was, I asked for the owner of them company and again she said she was..
