I've stayed in Vanderpool, Bluebird, Verner, and Fiesta. They've always had clean, warm beds and clean bathrooms. We have most of our it leadership activities in Tabernacle and A-Frame. We also use the Leisure House and the amphitheater. A few years ago we started using Tab East and Tab West. My primary job is AV. They upgraded their sound system in both Tabernacle and A-frame from last year and it is pretty awesome! They also had one wireless hand held mic and a lavelier mic for me to use. I brought in 6 of our own wireless hand held mics to plug into their system. Their video projector and mixer boards in Tabernacle, Tab West, Tab East and A-frame were wonderful. It's so nice when the tech works!! As always, confidence course (high ropes) are always a big hit for our campers! Challenge course (low ropes) is also a camper favorite. We also do bonfire on our last night of camp and the only down side to that is the 930pm sound ordinance. So over the years we have converted to playing acoustic music. I would give this camp 5 stars, but this past year, the new owners of the camp actually yelled at our RYLA chair in front of everyone, including the campers (who are high school students and are impressionable). It was bad taste, rude, and unnecessary. Also, they stopped providing dietary options for those who are gluten free. They only offer vegetarian as an alternative option. So we had adult volunteers who used their own money to make gluten-free and vegetarian options for our campers.

After seeing their Jeeps in various downtown parades, I wanted to try Angry Ape, so I jumped at it…read morewhen we were invited to join a private tour! The tour was in mid-April. Destinations were the Mingus Mountains and Cottonwood. It was an all-day tour. We had great weather - not too hot and not too cool. Two Angry Ape jeeps transported part of our group. Owner Tom was one of the drivers. Word to the wise: 5 people do NOT fit comfortably in the Jeeps. It works well for 4 people, 3 plus driver. The 5th person is crammed in the middle of the back seat with zero legroom. Fortunately, we had enough other vehicles to redistribute people, so no one had to be that 5th person for long. I went on a Pink Jeep tour in Sedona a couple of years ago. That was a lot bumpier and scarier than this one. There certainly were bumpy parts to this tour, but none of them scared the heck out of me! A private Jeep in our group had trouble negotiating some of the bumpier areas, but the Angry Ape jeep drivers had no issues. Tom is fun and personable, with lots of stories to tell. He kept us laughing the whole trip. His skill as a driver is very obvious. His worker (unfortunately, I forgot his name) was also very skilled. My husband and I had a great time!

Today our reservation was to kayak on Watson Lake but they were kind enough to call us and reschedule us for Goldwater Lake due to high winds - they said we'd enjoy our paddle more! The staff is always friendly and helpful, the equipment is in good condition, and it is such a great value and WAY easier then schlepping our gear, unloading, and carry it all to the put-in. The canoe ride was beautiful and fun. Not only that Matt gave us great recommendations including hiking trails which we took upon. It was a beautiful hiking trail in Goldwater Lake! Campsite had a fire pit and picnic table. They had bathrooms which I'll be honest, I've never seen so many flies at once. You open the door and they fly right out at you like a movie lol. We also encountered three bears around 10:30pm. We didn't know there were bears in the area. They did have a post by the bathroom on how to be "bear aware" but nothing about sightings, so I thought I'd warn here. I'm pretty sure it was a mom and two cubs. Overall would stay here again!

I called around asking shops if they did bead-locks rims as I had some tires I needed to swap out. Most shops don't do bead-locks. One of the employees in service said they did and the service on the rims and tire would be $49. But when I got there they changed the price. Now I live quite a few miles away from Prescott Valley and was trying to get the most value for my money as anyone would. Well I used them anyway but will not again. Have more to say about them but will hold my opinion.

The barn manager Sam is incredibly knowledgeable, aware and invested in the best interest of the horse. The owners are on site daily and make every effort to create community for their boarders. It is clean, well managed, the hay quality is excellent and you really cannot do any better than GMS.
