I was traveling through Newark on business and stumbled upon this place for meal preps. I had a very specific order and wanted high protein, with egg whites and a few other dietary suggestions. I placed my order three hours before I got there and they had 14 meals ready for me prepared and in a bag. The staff was extremely pleasant to deal with, and I ended up texting back-and-forth to place my order. I order the same breakfast 2-3 times per week: the acai bowl and avocado toast with pico. Today I made the mistake of not specifying the pico version of their avocado toast and i got the nasty runny egg, cheese and turkey version with a slight smear of avocado. I'm really disappointed with my meal this morning. The pictures attached is the breakfast I ordered sunday morning and the one i got today =( Also I've tried their meal prep twice now. They give A LOT of food and I'm not 100% sure it's not the leftover food from the previous day(s). The breakfasts all seem fresh. The Veggie omelet, hammer wrap, egg burrito, TSEC, Morning Machine, Sweet Potato Pancakes, and protein french toast were all good. All of the chicken dishes I tried taste like the chicken has been reused, dry, and overcooked. (teriyaki, fajita, alfredo, quesadilla). the chicken alfredo was downright disgusting. The steak was good but not cooked to order. The codfish was dry and the shrimp spoiled before I could eat them. I really enjoyed the asparagus, roasted potatoes, and mashed potatoes (doctored up with butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper). The lentil soup was burnt. read more

Got a smoothie with papaya, pineapple, mango, spinach and flax seed it was really good. My man got a peanut butter protein shake and a chicken spinach papaya salad with a balsamic vinaigrette that was delicious. I couldn't stop picking at his salad it was so refreshing. Wanted something relatively healthy and this was the top result. I love the nutritional facts are given for all their menu items - really important for those who are on specific diets or macros. Wasn't sure why they stopped online ordering at 5:30pm on their website and seamless but they were open until 8pm so we just placed the order in store and waited. Wish that online ordering was opened later so it would cut down on the wait time. We ordered the power salad w/ salmon, grilled chicken teriyaki plate, beyond stir fry, and steak sandwich. Love that they have an option to replace rice and quinoa with more vegetables for a low-carb option. Salad and grilled chicken teriyaki were flavorful. I thought the beyond stir fry was a little too salty for me. Steak sandwich was a tad overdone (medium well instead of medium rare), not seasoned at all. Souzafit Restaurant is here to save my day whenever I cannot cook a meal over the weekend or run out of food for lunch at work. So far, I have had the Bulk Up Platter, Souzafit Burrito, their Protein shakes Godzilla and Leanout, and their protein pudding. They taste great and are filling. Initially I gave this place 5 stars because the food was great after I ordered and on time. But today was no good for several reasons. First, it took them over 45 minutes to take my order. Second, I observed two workers there without masks, one of which was making the food (picture attached). And finally, I found stuff in my food, like lentils and fruits, that weren't supposed to be in it (I've ordered this plate before). Some of the meat wasn't cooked properly or overly cooked and rough. Souzafit is a relatively new restaurant in the Newark area. I have been craving for a healthy option in the Harrison area and stumbled across Souzafit via an Instagram ad/story. I have been seeking meal prepping solutions and Souzafit seemed to fit the bill. Before committing to a meal plan I went to go visit the place first to test their food. Their essentially an independent/small business version of muscle maker grill. The offer tasty and flavorful entree's, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, and breakfasts in addition to acai bowls, smoothies, shakes, and desserts. I ordered a Bison Burger which had turkey bacon, low-fat cheddar, avocado and onion (however, I subbed it out for pickles). I also ordered the Shrimp a la Diablo. Both dishes were really good and visually were large portions. You know all these meals are 'clean' because it does not have excessive calories in it. After eating the meals, you can tell you're not as full and bloated as you would be eating a greasy burger anywhere else. A few things I appreciate is how every menu item has the calories and macronutrient breakdown. I also like their diverse menu and seemingly expansive options to meet any of your needs. The pricing of this place could be better/more consistent. Some items are priced one way while an 'equal' dish may be more expensive or less expensive. The meal prepping options seem decent and I will update my review once I receive it, but it would be nice if they had a bulk discount (for example $8.99 per meal, however, if you order 15 meals a week, the price per meal reduces or has free snacks like some competitors do). The food is actually very good, and it's nice to have a fitness oriented restaurant. However: I ordered the bulk up omelette for pickup through yelp. On yelp, it clearly says "served with home fries and toast. They did not give me a side of home fries. I called and explained, and they said it comes with the home fries inside the omelette. I explained that's not what the menu says. While the home fries come inside the omelette, the menu says it also comes with a side of home fries. They offered to make me a side of home fries. Food is really good and it's great to have whey protein options. I updated this review because the foods delicious. We'll leave it at that. read more

I found this place a year ago and ever since have been going back again and again and each time with new friends! They also love the place and the food. Clean, nice girls that work there, healthy food that feels and tastes right, especially after a nice work out at the gym. Very happy to see them branch to other neighborhoods as well! The food is a hit and miss here depending what you order. They're constantly changing their recipes to items on the menus so the surprise isn't always great. Also, it takes them over an hour to deliver my food. Today it took two hours and I called several times. This wait time alone is enough for me to stop ordering here. Wanted healthy food and was left with disappointment. Food came cold and a half hour late. Made a call to the restaurant about an hour after placing the order who said it was on the way and didn't arrive until a half hour later. Delivery guy refused to leave his car. I was at Souzafit today, the food is awsome! everything on the menu has information about calories and protein, they have breakfast, wraps , burgers,paninis brazilian food called "tapioca" huge variety, this was my first time and it was lunch time so I ordered the Souzafit Salad, 48gr of Protein! delicious , also I had a "create your own" juice with orange ginger and flax seeds, it was refreshing and yummy, the place is very clean and the service is excellent, I'm so glad I found this restaurant , can't wait to try their breakfast , I will be recommending to all my friends read more

The juices I ordered appeared to be watered down - not pure pressed juice. I could be wrong. I usually get juices from Four Seasons in Newark. Their juice is pure and fresh with a thicker viscosity. read more

The food is healthy, and has reasonable prices. Make sure you call at least an hour before you're hungry. They take an hour (sometimes more) to deliver. They need to have more efficient delivery times. read more
