This shop has such an outstanding variety of drinks that I'm currently attempting to work my way through the entire menu. They have protein shakes, milk teas, fruit smoothies & tons of other creative options like ube milkshakes, matcha chip condensed milk frappes, frozen hot chocolate, caramel apple frappes & more. Not only do they have an impressive selection of drinks, but they also have self serve frozen yogurt with a great variety of topping choices, a menu of smoothie bowls, chamoy candy & a variety of esquites. The boba is made fresh daily & they have traditional tapioca pearls as well as fruit based popping boba. They also brew the teas in house. My favorites so far have feen the ube milkshake, matcha chip condensed milk frappe, blended brown sugar chai & blended milk tea with brown sugar. Their boba is perfectly chewy & always fresh. The owner is an absolute gem & also hilarious. Their social media caption game is top tier. This shop also has strong ties to the community. They frequently host drives to put together care packages for the houseless community, support local art, share info for mutual aid & do their best to give back to the community. If the drink variety wasn't enough thats a reason in itself to support this local business! Go treat yourself to something delicious! Support your Asian owned boba shops. read more

We found our new boba spot! SoYo is located in the strip mall closest to McDonald's Huffman. There was one worker today, likely the owner. She was fast and efficient. We didn't have time to sit down, and SoYo isn't allowing dine-in at this time any way, so...no biggie. SoYo makes deliciously satisfying drinks. My pre-teen went for a mangonada that was as aesthetically pleasing, as it was fresh and tasty. We also had to try their Thai tea with boba, and their ube smoothie. Wow! We love fresh flavors. I went here when they first opened years ago. I got the yogurt and I wasn't fond of it. It's the first time I've been back and I was hesitant but my baby cousins showed me these robot cups they got that they knew I would love. I stopped by the other Monday on November 15 to get one for me and my dad. We love black milk tea but there are a lot of places who don't have the black tea, they use the powder which you can't control the sugar which IMO just taste like milk with a splash of tea. They apparently make many of their teas in house and I was able to ask for very light sweetener. Amazing, the tea they used was very good and it wasn't bitter. I can't say much for anything else but my baby cousins got the I've smoothie and strawberries and cream smoothie. They said it was delicious. Pricing was expensive. For my milk teas with the $3 each bottle of the robots was $19. So it was $13 for the milk teas and it was quite a little amount but I also have no clue if I didn't get the robot cups would it have been in a bigger container. There are really only two places in town I would go to for homemade black milk tea and this one of them. Very nice people, the young lady was kind and didn't overload our drinks with ice which is always a plus since they realize you don't get as much drink when you add ice. This is my new favorite frozen yogurt shop. I stopped by one day after a workout at the gym. I'm not sure if the shop's close proximity to my gym is a blessing or a curse. I could easily eat all the calories I burned during my workout and then some with how delicious the yogurt is. The interior is clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. There's plenty of comfortable seating room which makes it a nice place to sit back and relax. They have a very creative assortment of flavors. When I went I tried caramel apple pie, pumpkin cheesecake, maple cinnamon donut, and coconut. All of the yogurt was flavorful without being too sweet or too tart and just the right consistency. They're open to flavor suggestions on their Facebook page which I like. The topping selection is great as well. If you're not in the mood for yogurt, they also have smoothies and shakes. Like other yogurt shops in town, they have a punch card that will get you free yogurt after so many visits. Unlike other yogurt shops, they give double punches every day after 4:00pm, so you can get free yogurt pretty quickly if you go later in the day like I do. I will definitely be back. read more

I came here to specifically try their new milk teas! Mainly the brown sugar milk tea! Been craving for that since I had it on my last Seattle trip. It was pretty decent here. The boba needed to be cooked a little more and the milk tea could have been a bit sweeter. My daughter couldn't decide what she wanted so she ended up getting a yogurt bowl and a strawberry smoothie. They had a lot of toppings for the yogurt. They do have to help you with the yogurt and the toppings. Due to Covid, they don't want you touching or standing too close to the toppings area. I totally understand but it was a bit difficult since they're in charge of how much of each topping they give you. My daughter ended up with more candy than I would have normally allowed her. Also, if you have younger children be sure you're watching them like a hawk. They have signs everywhere reminding you to watch your kids and not let them touch things. It's rare for me to travel but I managed to get a flight in this year before the coronavirus situation got all crazy. I really love this place! The decoration is really cool and actually, very cute, and the food is pretty good surprisingly for a soft yogurt shoppe. The mangonadas are amazing, for one, and you can customize them however you like. The woman who works the counter is so nice too despite trying her hardest to keep her shop sanitized and clean from people who literally don't care about anybody. I witnessed some kids just running around inside, trying to lick the walls and the display. GROSS. any normal business would have kicked your family out for disrupting the peace within a business. SoYo was sold to new owners a while ago and I really love how they made something great even better. They have an expanded menu with smoothies, bowls, elote, and more. Their yogurt flavors are really great, though they only have six now. They have some awesome vegan options and you wouldn't even know that some of the yogurts are vegan unless you looked closely. The new owners are really nice and I enjoy seeing their updates on Facebook. read more

Try the Elote. The corn is juicy with a crumb coating. You can choose traditional, hot Cheeto, or half & half. Tried the half and half, & I was not disappointed. While you wait, they suggest you sample the frozen yogurt. Do it! The ube-be is not too sweet, or overpowering so pile on the toppings. The staff is friendly, & courteous. My sweet tooth was acting up so I came down here around 5:30 after finishing up studies and to get away from rush hour traffic. This location is in a small, unassuming strip mall on Huffman next to the Great AK Pizza Co. and Subway. Upon entering, the place was clean and spotless with music playing from a TV in the corner ceiling set to a cable music channel. The layout of the seating area is small yet cozy and is popular with moms taking the kids here to eat after dinner. I have been here several times before but have always forgotten to post a review on this place. The frozen yogurt here is just as good as some of the other yogurt shops I've reviewed the past couple of weeks. The flavors here also change on a regular basis with creative flavors coming out every time I visit. This time around, I decided to try two new flavors: the Caramel Corn and the Lemon Cheesecake. The caramel corn was very good. It tasted just like the actual thing. However, the lemon cheesecake was a home run. It had the taste of both a cheesecake and key lime pie with the lemon flavoring mixed in. This was made even better with the toppings I applied. Blueberries, raspberries, sliced almonds, pieces of Twix and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Reese's Sundae Sauce (I have to add this every time if a yogurt shop carries this), and kiwi fruit (which also made the lemon cheesecake taste more like lime.) A punch card is offered to you on your first visit just like the other shops where you get a free yogurt after a certain amount of visits. I've seen a mother-daughter team running this shop and they were some of the nicest people I've spoken to. They make you feel very welcome as if you were a guest in their home. This is one of those places where I can't stress enough to support local establishments against big companies driving them out of business. Anchorage has lost too many family-owned diners, ice cream shops, burger places, and novelty shops to the big box stores and corporate fast-food places over the years. read more

I frequent this yoghurt place very often and let me tell you, everything is so delicious and the owner is one of the coolest, most friendly people I know. Seriously, this whole place is a delight and I have made all of my friends come here with me. It's cheap and delicious with a really nice vibe about the place that makes me feel like I'm in a sitcom a little bit. 20/10 reccomend. If you're looking for a recommendation, I say get the Taro frozen yoghurt if it's available (they switch up flavours) but really it's hard to go wrong with anything here. read more
