This is a really cute small salon that does microblading, lips, and eyeliner. I was recommended by a friend and wanted some light work done, as my eyebrows are already big. But sometimes I'm too lazy or just want naturally looking eyebrows. Making an appointment is super easy, and tieu text you the day prior so you can remember. When I first got here, obviously... I was nervous. It lasts up to a year. But SoYount assistant gave me a list on how it works, how to take care of them, and how long it lasts, etc etc. She made me feel alot more comfortable. SoYoung and her assistant are so friendly! And VERY welcoming. They have coffee ,water and snacks for their customers. The procedure itself, was very fast and painless. SoYoung is super fast! You can tell shes done for this for a while. Overall, I love my experience. It's only been a few hours since I've gotten it done so I'll post some updated photos in 2-3 days!

Heather and Soyoung have always been pleasant and accommodating! I recently had my brow lamination done by Heather, which turned out phenomenal! I am in love with my brows! Heather was gentle with the whole process and kept checking how I was doing. The lamination process itself was smooth and painless. I should also mention that Heather thoroughly explained to me the process step by step, including what to expect or look out for. I was well informed before I said yes to the procedure. I truly trust Heather and Soyoung when it comes to enhancements. They have amazing location and customer service! You should definitely check this place out! What a gem!

Absolutely DO NOT get your eyebrows done by Soyoung. I went to her when she was operating out of Atelier salon. She's extremely unprofessional and made my eyebrows so thick and unnatural. I immediately when back to my car and sobbed the whole ride back home bc of how UGLY I looked. I had to go to another artist to fix Soyoung's work a few weeks later which costs me more time, money and pain. The other artist also couldn't fully fix Soyoung's work bc she cut WAY too deep leaving you with permanent scarring. It's been 6 years and it finally has faded somewhat. Please save yourself from the emotional trauma and ugly ass brows!!

I've been to Soyoung before but went back yesterday for another eyebrow session. With the world being so different with covid and all now, I decided to update my review for my fellow beauty salon yelpers. I know it's tough finding the courage to go to any salon during this situation - but I felt extremely safe here despite the current pandemic. They space out each client, sanitize in between each appointment, and take your temperature. Also, there's plenty of hand sanitizers available for clients use. She also keeps her mask on during the whole process so you will be in good hands there. Go get your beauty fix, don't let covid scare you. Upon arrival to this super cute salon, you check in & they put numbing cream on for at least 30 minutes. I did not feel ANY pain or discomfort during my whole eyebrow session - I was shocked!! I got my eyebrows done quite a few times and all I remember is the pain from other brow artists... But I come back to Soyoung because she makes it completely painless and the results are beautiful. Photos are attached but my front camera doesn't show how pretty they are person. Now, I just hope I'm brave enough to do my lips one day LOL :]

I got referred from my friend that they do great eyelash perms and semi permanent tattoos so i decided to try it out! I was scared at first thinking about how it might hurt but both services did not hurt and it turned out natural and so beautiful! So I decided to do my lips since they had discoloration, embarassing I know but Soyoung helped me make them evenly colored without any dark pigment left! I was really nervous that it may hurt but there was no pain and thankfully she applies some numb cream throughout the session to help ease any uncomfortable feeling! Lip tattoo has 2-3 sessions so this was my final session result!~ Beautiful i know i know! best of all, she said IT LASTS ABOUT 5 YEARS!! This was the best decision I have ever made this year! I can finally just go out without having to put on lipstick or lipgloss Also to talk about eyelash perms! I had very droopy straight lashes that kept poking my eyes but Heather lifted them up so beautifully and now i feel like i can see better! There was no damage and it really does look like I have extensions on! Mascara helps make my lashes look more like extensions! It did lasts about 6 weeks like she said! She also takes before and after pictures so if you want her to send it to you she will~ oh and by the way it takes about 50min-1hr so if your tired you can sleep like i did THANK YOU SO MUCH SOYOUNG AND HEATHER! You guys are awesome! I surely will be coming back here for more beauty tattoos and eyelash perms!!!!!

Just had my eyebrows microbladed by Soyoung today! - THE EXPERIENCE - First of all everyone here is super friendly and accommodating. Soyoung is also very friendly and made me feel relaxed despite the fact that I was a little nervous. She really is an artist and knows what she's doing. I was scared I was going to come out with super arched Instagram influencer eyebrows but it came out looking super natural. It was also really easy to schedule my appointment over the phone. They first put some numbing cream on my brows for 30 minutes and then we discussed what I wanted. I asked her to just do what she thinks will suit my face the best. we ended up going with a slightly sharper, defined brow - but kept it looking natural and following my natural brow shape for the most part. It consisted of three parts, where she carefully adjusts and sees what other parts of the brows need work on. The actual procedure didn't hurt. I honestly barely felt it. Right after though as the numbing cream begins to wear off, you feel a slight burning sensation but it's nothing terrible. It just feels a little sensitive. I would totally do it again. - MY BROWS BEFORE - I've always been aware of my brows because I have thinner brows than most guys, who actually tend to have very bushy ones. I hate filling in my brows because it's such a waste of time, so now I'm so glad that I have full brows that i don't have to take care of as much! Brows definitely shape your face and it makes a huge difference. - BROWS AFTER and AFTERCARE- My new brows are defined, filled in and full. And I'm so happy with the result. I'm going to come back in around a month to have it retouched. They gave me simple to follow instructions on how to take care of them..like not touching the brows roughly and scrubbing it until it heals. I'll update this once I come back to get them retouched and once the scabs fall out, which I was told should happen within 5 days to a week. Super excited.

I have been wanting to have microblading done for my eyebrows and have been looking for a place for a long time. finally I've found this place and they do very natural style eyebrows and other semi-permanent make up and they have lots of people raving about them so i tried it finally. I made an appointment one dat prior and finally. The staff and soyoung it self is really nice and the place is really nice too. I really think they did a pretty good job, i love my eyebrows it looks really natural and finally i can wake up and not worry about my brows!

I thought my review wasn't good enough! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT HERE. My eyebrows stayed on with me for a year. It's honestly how you take care of it as well... She's a master at shaping, and catering to the customers. ---- Been about over a year I've been going here. I got my first microblading by Soyoung, and I was scared shitless at first cause if you think about it, you have a knife that's embedding ink on your eyebrows. But wow, it was nothing at all. First, her assistance numbs your eyebrows with numbing cream. Soyoung has few clients that she's working with, while your numbing cream sets in, which can go from 20-30 minutes. She does eyebrows, eyeliner, lip, and hairline tattoos. Eyebrows start at $400. Depending on your pain tolerance, it may hurt it may not.

Nowadays this whole permanent makeup / microblading / lip and eye tattoo has become so popular that every artist and salon seems to offer this service. As this happens, I imagine there are so many first-time customers browsing trying to find the right person, which is why I write this review. I am the pickiest consumer when it comes to any service, but the reason I travel far to Soyoung is because: 1) Soyoung is the most experienced and knowledgeable in this business. For Soyoung this is her main, original craft. She is not a former hair stylist or lash stylist who then added microblading/tattoo as a service to get more business, like many other providers nowadays. Soyoung was in this business before it became popular, before anyone else. She's the original veteran "OG" microblading expert. This has been her specialty for more than 10 years. Her experience is unmatched. 2) Soyoung is receptive to your individual style and caters to it, while still making expert recommendations. I am a very picky, very nervous customer who likes to look natural as if I didn't get anything done. She knows this, and can accommodate any style or preference. It's not a one-size-fits-all service but truly catered to your style. At the same time, she gauges what is best for you based on your own style. She will still ask but also give recommendations based on what she feels is the best fit for you specifically. 3) Soyoung is sensitive to safety and pain. I have a very low threshold for pain, and she will constantly ask me if anything hurts, and also make sure to apply numbing creams in between rounds. Soyoung is a perfectionist, so she will still try to put every effort into each millimeter of work, while still being sensitive to how much pain you can handle. Soyoung also gives realistic expectations and does not offer empty promises. That's why she offers the follow-up session. She knows and educates her customers that it is not realistically possible to gauge and finish her work in one session. The touch-up is just as important as the first session, because of the way everyone's skin reacts and heals is different. The fee for service should be thought of as two (2) sessions, not one session. The final product is NOT after the first session, and should never be judged that way. I don't know how much other services charge, but I find her prices very reasonable for the level of time, attention to detail and in-depth experience Soyoung brings to her work. Someone with only 2-3 years experience and someone with more than 10 years of experience should not cost the same, and with Soyoung, I feel like I get what I pay for, and she takes great pride and responsibility in her work. Also, if you read any of the great reviews and photos of microblading under Atelier by Tiffany on Yelp in 2018 and prior, those are all reviews of Soyoung's work. She only recently opened her own space, which is why these reviews are so new. I went to her new location today after going to Soyoung at Atelier by Tiffany for many years, since she moved. I've attached photos from my last session, but today I got lip blush done also, and can't wait to post when everything is healed.

Let me just say the owner and her assistant are so sweet and friendly they make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk into the place! The decor is nicely designed and gives you such LA vibes, I was happy that they were organized and I did not have to wait long at all! Soyoung was so fast with my brows and it was over before I knew it, but I absolutely loved the look, she did them perfect just like I asked and fixed a mistake of a previous tattoo I had, highly recommend!
