I used to recommend this salon to everyone, but after multiple negative experiences with different lash technicians, I can no longer do that. My first issue was with Anouka. During one of my appointments, she used an excessive amount of lash adhesive, causing my eyes to burn severely. I lost my vision temporarily and had to go to the emergency room for treatment. As a result of the irritation, I developed a rash on my eye that I'm still dealing with. Two weeks later, I returned for a refill and decided to book with a different technician, Uka, hoping for a better experience. I specifically requested a volume cat-eye set, but what I received was a very basic set that looked nothing like what I asked for. I paid for a 160-piece volume set but was given what appeared to be a 120-piece set instead. At this point, I've had my lashes done by nearly every technician in the salon. Unfortunately, my experience with Emma was the worst from a customer service standpoint. I scheduled with her multiple times, and she was late to every appointment. After repeatedly waiting, I politely asked if there was any type of discount oraccommodation because of the constant tardiness. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, she told me to "fuck off" and get my lashes done somewhere else. After over a year of being a loyal customer, I never expected to be treated this way. Between the injury that resulted in an emergency room visit, receiving services that didn't match what I paid for, and being spoken to so disrespectfully, I can no longer recommend this salon. I hope management takes these concerns seriously so other customers don't have similar experiences.

But now I've had my lashes done at many places and I recently returned to RedKelly. It's easy to make an appointment online, which is very important to me. Also their suite is nice with a beautiful view, quiet space - it's very peaceful. Most importantly, they do a really nice job with the extensions. They didn't try to up-charge me when I showed them a picture of what I wanted. They were quick and the results were spot on. Plus I haven't had a single lash fall off in the first week, which is rare. It's not cheap! But it's in line with other DTLA salons and the result is worth it.

What was normally just a 20 min drive for me turned into an hour and if it weren't for me going on vacation the next day I would have rescheduled. The couple was very very nice and did their best to accommodate me. The lashes were beautiful and lasted a long time, that has not changed but the price has definitely gone up. What used to be $100 lashes with the original owners is $200+. I would have gone back if the prices remained the same. But if you're in the area and you're used to paying that, they do great work and the lashes are beautiful.

I wanted more volume, but my lashes were long from using Latisse, so she matched their length with Novalashes, which was a little more glamourous than I expected- but I love it. You barely know that she is working on you- I feel asleep at one point during application. I have very resistant hair- perming, bleaching, dyeing takes twice as long on my hair and I guess eyelash glues make no exception. I had some lash fallout the next morning and let Bylie know- she told me that if I had more loss the next 2 days, to come in and she would fill in the missing portions- she guarantees her lashes. She used a different adhesive, and all is well. I surfed the next 3 days with no loss. So if you know you have resistant hair or have loss the next morning, let her know, don't wait!

Taking away mascara from my daily routine (applying and removing) saves me TIME, and that is honestly priceless. I wake up in the morning and I'm basically ready to go! Also, her lashes last FOREVER. It's amazing. They only fall out when my natural lashes shed, and my natural lashes look and feel healthy, even after consistent lash extensions for years now. I'm telling you, I am rough on these things. I rollerblade at the beach, and these lash extensions flap around in the wind and do not budge! She's also amazing at placement.
