Three stars is being generous. The work that was done was four stars, but the ambience and the way they talked to me and the cleanliness leaved much to be desired. I came in and the seat was filthy. I asked her to clean it and she said, "it was just oil." Oil? Someone sat there and the seat was not cleaned for me, unacceptable. After my pedicure I was told that other customers were coming and I WOULD have to move out of my chair. They came and took other chairs and when someone did come for my chair I was told "You have to leave now the next person is here." That is not a way to talk to the customer. Finally, charging 2 bucks to use the credit card? Ok, so we all have expenses. I had 40 dollars budgeted for this experience. 35 was the credit card charge, which leaves me a 5 dollars amount to tip. 33 was the cash amount which would leave me 7 to tip. I have been to this nail salon a few times. During most of the visits, I was pleased with the atmosphere and quality of the manicure/pedicure service. However, during my recent visit this past weekend, I was disappointed with the no-chip manicure. I felt like the technician was rushing to complete as I was her last appointment of the day, still no excuse. (I had an appointment and was on-time.) On a few of the nails, it is obvious with the brush strokes where she missed the final clear coat. Also, she did not allow enough time for the nails to be in the curing lamp. The best manicures and pedicures that I've ever gotten were from Sozo! My mani looks just as good on day 13 as it did on day one!

I came here several years ago and had to leave mid manicure because the woman had cut my cuticles so bad several times. Against my better judgement, I just came for a pedicure in recent days. I left with a minimum of two cuts on my toes, burns on my skin from the tech using a file with a grit too strong (not a buffer) on my skin, and they were using tools that they dropped on the floor. I really wanted to love this place as it is close to my house and looks nice, clean and very inviting. 5 stars for location and ambiance, but barely 2 stars for the actual manicure. I came in for a no chip and luckily there was no wait. The lady was nice and friendly. However, when cleaning out dirt under my nail (I was gardening and nails needed TLC) deeply cut under my skin making me bleed, then making me feel bad about it as if it was my fault. But Ok, so it happens, I got over it although nail continued bleeding all day. Second, after some imperfections, nails were filed AFTER the no chip was done, which worried me that it will cause peeling. Needless to say, a week later, 2 nails peeled off and 3 others are lifting. I really really wanted to love this place, but will not return as my no chip couldn't even last one week! My sister in law told me that a new place had opened up next to Dunton Towers in Downtown Arlington Heights so I decided to try it. The minute I walked in I noticed how clean and esthetically beautiful it was. They're also very sanitary- you get your own kit with name on it, for example. My mom is regular here, and she had recommended me to try this place out. The decor is nice and relaxing, and I did get a nice welcome when I waked in. I made an appointment at 1:30, and the lady that did my mani pedi was rude. My pedi only took 10 minutes, so I felt rushed. She didn't take the time to scrub and clean my feet well. When she took out the hot stones she burned my foot (didn't say sorry). When I was getting out of the chair, my toes got smudged, so when I asked her to fix it she just covered more nail polish over it(other places redo the nail). The mani took awhile because I have a lot of cuticles. I honestly don't get a mani often , only once in awhile to treat myself. As she was cutting away my cuticle she nicked my finger, I flinched and said ow, and all she said, "well you have a lot of cuticles." (My mouth dropped). I was out the door by 2:15. Needless to say she didn't get a good tip. My mom is a good customer here and speaks very highly of this place, so she was very surprised to hear of my experience. The plus side was the price for a mani pedi was $32 if you pay cash and $35 if you pay on the card. read more

I absolutely love this nail salon! There are a bunch in town, but this one is above and beyond. SO CLEAN, so modern, friendly, great service (Trinity, the owner, knows me by name and is so friendly)....I can go on and on. If you are a frequent customer, you get your own box that has your own nail file, buffer, toe separators, and pedi sandals. Nice and sanitary....speaking of which, the pedicure bowls have a disposable liner that they switch out after each customer. WIN! They also have a punch card where you can earn free pedi's and mani's. I get no chip mani's, and they always last 3 weeks, and I use my hands a lot. They also give you a massage after your mani's, and their pedi chairs are so nice! Oh, and to be festive, ask for some nail art! So cute and a great way to spice up a manicure! I don't live near this salon, and there are others closer to me which I've tried, but none begin to compare. The salon is clean as can be, which is important to me. They use liners in the pedicure tubs and you get your own box of instruments. The color and brand selection is the best, and they always have the newest OPI collection. The techs are always excellent. The shop is relaxed, warm and friendly, the chairs are comfy, and HGTV is always on with quiet music in the background. There's street parking, and a parking garage is across the street. There is a great coffee shop around the corner and a variety of restaurants within a block to grab a bite or a glass of wine, as well as great shops to wander through. I was a loyal customer until today. Loyal even though I moved farther away from the salon. Today I had a appointment at 9:30. There was a accident near my home but I was still tracking to get there on time until I was stuck by a Metra train 2 blocks from the shop. I called at 9:33 am while waiting to let them know that I should be there shortly. I was "admonished" by the person answering the phone and was told that they could now see me at 2PM? I really love some of the nail technicians here. They do a great job with manicures that last! I got 2 weeks with no chips in a regular manicure for a great price ($13). I asked for a no chip fill. Along with a shape change/shortening of my acrylic nails. The lady shortened my nails way lower than I wanted to, took over an hour to finish a FILL. Gel FILL. Also ripped the whole acrylic off one of my nails, didn't replace it, and charged me $65 for the whole thing. Absolute rip off. My nails look nothing like what I asked for. I am always concerned with how clean the technicians keep their instruments. These girls are perfectionist.
