Super duper uncomfortable, I went here with my younger cousin and we both look like we're 15 when in reality we're wayyyyy older i'm 21 while she's 19. We got 2 males to do our massage. We specifically asked for back only but somehow my butt was massaged for a very long time. I never gotten a massage before so I thought this was normal but according to the other reviews it's definitely not. At one point the masseuse lifted both my arms up to the front where my whole upper body lifted and my breast were completely exposed and he stayed there for a minute. Went in a little Leary from prior reviews and I was blown away! The atmosphere was polite and formal, well lit and there was men and women masseuses and customers there. I got paired up with this tiny gal, "yi yi" who I def made the wrong assumption about cause she spent 90 minutes beating the hell out of me like a Russian wrestler named Olov. This masseuse knew what she was doing and was wonderful, I plan to go back for a couples massage. We made an appointment for 8:30pm that evening with the anticipation & knowledge that I would be adding an additional 30-minutes to both of our massages individually, thus making our massages 90-minutes each. Upon our timely arrival, I informed them of the Groupon deal that I had purchased and my request for additional time. We proceeded to our room, changed and enjoyed our massages. My friend expressed to me, that she would return with her boyfriend and that Eric, had worked her back nicely. Eddie, the gentleman that worked on my back, had also done a satisfying job. We proceeded to get dressed and join them at the front desk. Once we reached the desk, I handed over my printed-Groupon sheet as well as my credit card for the additional time that I had purchased. Only then, was I informed that there was an estimate that was a bit higher than I was expecting which included the following: 10% surcharge-fee for utilizing my credit card $8.00 additional taxes added on top of my Groupon deal and a MANDATORY tip on top of the cash we had already given the (2) gents that worked on our backs. I stated in a respectful manner that we never made aware of these fees up-front and that tips are not mandatory. They are to be left to the customer's discretion. I paid for all of my fees and explained to Hannah (front desk receptionist), that we had already tipped the guys that worked on our backs. She proceeded to rudely launch an 8x8 sign that was hidden in a small corner of the front desk at us and demand that we tip more for the services rendered. At that point, not only were we taken aback by their position, we were highly insulted. I turned to Eric & Eddie and advised them that this was extremely unprofessional and that it was bad service to treat clients in this manner especially after we had already tipped. They both proceeded to rudely ask us to "Leave" - We will never return to Spa Heaven nor will we recommend this place to anyone. In addition, I am filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, for the practice of charging the 10% credit card fee which is not legal in New York. I highly suggest that prior to booking an appointment or spending money in this establishment, consumers educate themselves with the services and fees so that they are not met with the same hostile experience that left a bad taste in our mouths. Cons: I explained to the front desk representative that I had back surgery 3 months ago and so I asked which massage does she suggest she said "swedish" and I said "ok let's go with that" I was under the impression that information would of had been forwarded to whom ever was going to provide the massage but that was not the case. 1st. We were taken to the massage room and not given any further instructions, 2nd. The massage was too rough to the point that I had to grab the massagers wrist to tell him he needed to be "gentle that it hurts" in a certain area he obliged for a while but then touched the same area about 2 other times I'm under the impression he either forgot or didn't understand me the 1st time i mentioned it to him which caused an extreme amount of pain. I came here today woth my best friend and I enjoyed myself. It was so clean and organized. I didnt have to wait at all for my massage to begin. My masseuse was quite rough and it was painful at time but overall I left there pretty relaxed and sleepy :). My friend loved her massage to the point where she didnt want it to end. The only complaint I have is that the oils they use smell like cooking oil so i felt like i smelled bad when i left from there. I would definitely come here again but next time ill bring my own oil ;). I've been coming here for years. I've had 2 or 3 sub par massages, but it is more than made up by the 10+ I've had that were amazing. The price is unbeatable -- you can leave with a 90 minute Swedish + 30 minute foot massage for $95. Do note that tipping anything less than 25% will be met with awkward stares from masseuse and the woman who sometimes runs the front desk -- she's been deceptive about prices once or twice, so just make sure to confirm your price before you get the massage. They also charge $5 extra if you use your card, so try to grab cash before to avoid that. Seriously though, it is still a 5 star review because of the price and overall quality. I bought a Groupon for this place when I was having some unexplained back and shoulder pain. I've had massages in the past, but this was my first one in New York. A few things to know before you go, in case you're a massage novice like me... They have male and female masseurs. If you have a preference for whatever reason, I suggest letting them know over the phone when you book. The Groupon says deep tissue, Swedish, OR hot rock massage, but what I got seemed to be a combo of all three. You can leave underwear on but otherwise they want you to be fully undressed and it's best if you aren't too shy about your body, since your masseur is most likely going to see most of it. However, they do mostly massage over a towel that will cover your body for privacy. My previous massages had never included anything too intense and they absolutely never touched my butt. This massage was very intense at times (the deep tissue) and yep, they'll touch your butt. Knead it, actually. Nothing wrong with that, I just wasn't anticipating it. I read another review that mentioned a woman who walks on your back so I was nervous for that, but thankfully (for me), that didn't happen. Just some hot towels, oil, and hot rocks. Again, if you're not experienced with getting massages, some parts of it may confuse you a little, but I just decided to roll with it. Required tip of at least $10 and if you have a Groupon, they charge a $4 fee. read more

OK place ... you get what you paid for! I've visited this place twice for massages and had somewhat different experiences. The first time I had a male masseuse and felt that he kneaded my body roughly and was a bit invasive in my lower back region ... I ended up being sore for a couple of days. The second time, I requested a Swedish massage with a female masseuse thinking this would be a softer experience, however, it was still a deep tissue experience and the girl even straddled my back to really get in there. I enjoy a bit of pressure when my muscles are tense but I think that regardless of the chosen massage, this may be the only style that they know and may not be capable of a more relaxing massage. Overall, I will go back when I want a deeper tissue massage since I now know what to expect but for relaxation, it is best to go elsewhere. I also don't mind the $10 tip since they are working hard for an hour and this is the least that they deserve ... since its mandatory, they probably don't make much and this is considered a part of their wages. read more

I normally live in Manhattan and get massages at Asia Tui Na, but I am staying in Ridgewood to babysit my granddog and needed a massage. It's always a little nervewracking to try a new place. I called to make an appointment and got in within about 1.5 hours. The massage was good, lots of stretching, and I let go of a lot of tension but didn't feel beat up. $43 for a massage that includes hot stones is dirt cheap, so I was happy to tip well (I'd read the other reviews). If I am in the neighborhood again when I need a massage, I will definitely return to Spa Heaven. read more

It was such a horrible experience. I get a massage about once a month, but decided to try this place because it was near my house. Never again. I called and made an appointment for 4pm. I arrived at 3:50 and was told they didn't have anyone available and didn't know about my appointment. They put me in a room, told me to undress and relax for a bit while someone finished up in another room. They then came back and asked me to get dressed and wait outside. They sat me in a pedicure chair for over 30 minutes, then took me upstairs to a different room. The massage was horrible and I was in pain almost the whole time. The woman understood little to no English and continued to hurt me, using her knuckles and elbows almost the whole time. When it was finally over and I went to leave, the woman demanded a tip. I told her no and turned to walk out, but was confronted by another man that said I HAD to tip her. I replied that I didn't and both responded YES YOU DO. YOU HAVE TO TIP! So I did, just to get out of the building. My body hurt for almost a week after that massage. I will NEVER go back. read more

I only gave one star because that is the lowest you can give. My job did the kind gesture of sending me a gift card to "Spa Heaven". The gift card png email image had no barcode or confirmation number, so I asked my boss how can I verify and he was told by "Vivian" at Spa Heaven all I had to do was give my name at the front desk. I called ahead of time to book an appointment and to let them know my payment method would be via a gift card. I could tell the employee had some confusion, but still told me to come in. When I arrived for the appointment the front desk attendant still had confusion when I presented the gift card, but still provided me my requested service of one-60 minute massage for $50 (which was falsely advertised as $45 on their site). After the massage the masseuse still had no idea how to check me out with the gift card. I gave him my name again and informed him of all the info I had from the receiving end as a gift card recipient. The masseuse calls his boss to find a solution and he puts his boss on speaker who demanded that I paid for the service. I reiterated that my boss received no barcode or confirmation number from Spa Heaven and that I will of course tip the masseuse for his service, but I will not pay for something that is a gift to me. The Spa Heaven boss starts to yell at me and continue to demand I pay. I told him I will return with anymore info I can find from my boss, but I've given all that I know. I tipped the masseuse and walked out. Spa Heaven then harasses me via phone call and text, accusing me of fraud and threatening to take me to court. When I finally got in touch with my boss he told me the only verifying info that "Vivian" gave him was a receipt and the "$100 gift card" image. I text this follow up info to Spa Heaven and they stopped contacting me. This establishment has given me trouble before with Groupons, but this time they've harassed me, acted unprofessional, and even worse discredit my integrity. My boss called the next day to ask for a reimbursement of the remainder of the gift card and that I was owed an apology. Spa Heave text me an apology and offered me one-hour free service. I told them I'll accept the apology, but will decline the free offer because of their harassment and unprofessionalism. DO NOT GO HERE!!! A friend and I decided to find a nearby spot for a massage this afternoon, google search shows this spot nearby. Majority of reviews on 1st page show generally good, so we call to make an appt and the receptionist says just to walk in. We walk over and ask for 30 minute massages bc I have somewhere to be in an hour. There's about 3-4 employees at the counter and they direct us each to rooms with the usual table & a towel to strip down & cover yourself with. So I do. And then I wait. And wait. And wait. I can hear staff in the hallway talking so I know they're not all busy. Eventually I go to the door of my room in my towel and ask if anyone is coming, 2 employees in the hallway and they say yes yes just lay down. I do and I wait. And wait. Finally check my phone and now it's been 20 minutes. So I get dressed. Right as I'm dressed a male employee comes to the door and I tell him never mind I have to leave, I'll wait for my friend in the hall. He insists that I take a free 10 minute massage. I say no and he keeps insisting. I say fine, but leave the door open so I can hear when my friend is out and we go. I leave my clothes on this time & keep my phone- he takes my phone away & moves it. When I try to say "wait I need that" he ignores me. I should have gotten up right then but figure fine. Door is open. I'm dressed. Then he massages my neck and it's a fine massage. But after a few minutes I say "okay thank you I have to go" and he PHYSICALLY SHOVES MY HEAD BACK DOWN ON THE TABLE. I didn't know what to do, he just keeps saying "it's okay friend not out yet" I can see the door is open so I figure it can't be that bad, and my mind is racing bc what the actual fuck? Then again, he moves to massage my arm and I sit my head up and try to get up saying seriously I have to go, and he physically pushes my head down and holds my shoulder while massaging my neck. After a few more minutes when he went to move I bolted up and said no I'm done. I was so confused by it all I just wanted to go, paid for my friend's massage and she came down as soon as I had paid and I told her we needed to go right now. I'm so glad I didn't take my clothes off and that I had the door open. Having a man forcibly shove my head down and insist I get a massage was one of the most disturbing experiences I've been through, and i have all the moments of "well did I say no enough?" When really, pushing a woman onto a table when she says no is assault. I'm lucky nothing else happened. But no one should ever ever go here. I went to Spa Heaven last Sunday. Since I had good experiences my previous two visits this time I thought it would be the same as well but it wasn't. I went with a friend and I went for the VIP FULL BODY MASSAGE for 60 MINS THAT COSTED ME $70. I asked the guy in the front would the VIP be different from the regular full body massage and he said yes it will be, you will feel the difference. My friend got the regular FULL BODY MASSAGE for 60 MINS that was for $45. He enjoyed his massage with SNOW she was very friendly, gentle and professional. The lady that massaged me was WENDY, I specifically told the guy in the front these specific areas; my neck, lower back, legs front and back, and chest. WENDY focused a lot on neck and legs. She did a little work on the back but completely forgot the chest. I didn't feel any difference with the VIP MASSAGE since the only thing extra I got were the HOT STONES and even my friend got the HOT STONE therapy and he got the regular massage. I thought VIP MASSAGE at least had hot towels, oils, lotions, scrubs and all that but I guess I was wrong. I am DISAPPOINTED with my experience this time. read more

Me and my wife went in this place because of proximity to the house and price. Price for a couples massage was $80 for 1 hour. At first we were skeptical but waiting area was relaxing and very clean. Lady at the front desk was very sweet. Im personally a triathlete and have been to expensive places and they do a good job but I came here not expecting much but an hour later i was so happy and grateful i gave this place a try. The masseuse rubs you down with a blanket over you to warm you up. Then adds oil to massage and THEN uses hot oil and hot stones to massage( at first umcomfortable) but then relaxing. Room was super clean, it was 20 degrees outside and rooms were super warm and dark. Me and my wife loved it and will be returning. Not sure if this matters but im 190 lbs and a big guy and lady really dug in muscles(strong hands) and my wife is 95 lbs and the other masseuse was gentle but firm on her body and wifey loved it. The price is ridiculously cheap and can come here once every two weeks or once a month. I still give really good tip because of amazing work. read more
