What a fantastic spa downtown Seattle! The space is very nice and comfortable with friendly knowledgeable staff. Everyone was friendly from start to finish and I spent about 4 hours here which made a perfect spa day! For the services, Tammy did one of the best manicure, pedicure, and brow treatments I've had. The attentiveness to detail was not unnoticed. Nails are leaving healthy and shiny with brows not overly shaped. Next was the earth and sea scrub with Alec and it's was very professional and refreshing with great conversation. Last but not least was the Hydrafacial with Julie. This treatment was a perfect way to end the spa day. Julie was thorough and face left vibrant and refreshed. No complaints here and will be back. There was a lot of privacy here and staff took the time to explain everything. Though they do not have spa packages, it is easy to piece together a customized experience for yourself. She is always attentive and helpful to make sure my appointments are exceptional and I am comfortable. Prior to my appointments she takes the time to check in to see if I need additional products so she is able to have my items waiting for me. What Happened To Nordstrom Spa - Seattle? What fool would agree to provide their credit card number on a random telephone call? I've been using Nordstrom Spa off and on for about 20 years for my eyebrows and my telephone experience today will void any further contact or association with them. At about 10:30 AM on a Sunday morning, I received a very curt telephone call from 'Haley S.' who asked me if I had a Nordstrom credit card that she could use to confirm a brow appointment on 10/31/2023. It took me a while to understand this request as I've always paid for services at the time the service is completed and thus, this appears this is a new policy. I told her that I only used my AMEX card as the Nordstrom credit cards had a high interest rate and that I do not provide my credit card number over the telephone. Haley S. said 'so, shall I cancel your appointment as having a credit card on file is a requirement now"? I said I would keep the appointment but provide the card in person. She immediately called me back after I hung up and then left me an email cc'ed to everyone in the Spa Program repeating her request for a credit card. I found this interaction condescending and repulsive so sent an email to cancel the appointment. I know working in a Spa is not the most prestigious position but I'm not sure where HR finds employees that diminish the reputation of Nordstrom like Haley S. does. read more

Best place for a pedicure! I look so forward to my monthly luxe pedicure with Tammy. I receive wonderful service, check in and scheduling is very efficient. I am offered a beverage... even Prosecco/champagne. I am in a quiet room where I can recline, have a blanket and the lights are dimmed, it is such a relaxing experience. Tammy does an excellent job... my pedicure is perfection. There is no discomfort whatsoever. She gives a relaxing foot and leg massage... I pay for extended time because it is so lovely. As a Master Esthetician (unknown to the young lady who gave me my facial), I know what a basic facial should include. One of the most important things is to actually examine the skin before performing any services. The mag light wasn't touched until the end of the treatment - the esthetician turned it on in order to read something on her phone. She asked what I wanted most out of the facial. I said "extractions". She ran the tool around each crease of my nose once and was done - she didn't even look closely, let alone at the side of my face. I can do my own skincare, but get facials because, of course, I can't possibly see the side of my face. She didn't even ask my to turn my head. For all she knows, I could have had a skin cancer growing next to my ear. And the mag light was absent. Perhaps this esthetician is burned out or never got proper training. I won't find out because I won't be returning. I will, however, remember that young woman's name in the event she ever comes to my practice seeking a position. read more

Poor customer service and customer journey led to a having a very troubling customer experience. Not informing of services and overcharging hundreds of dollars for services not rendered. 10 out of 10 will never return. Will never recommend this travesty of an establishment to anybody. This spa is staffed by people who do not want to work there and they make it very known they hate their jobs and wish to make your experience as poor as possible. Don't be suckered into believing that the Nordstrom name means anything. It doesn't. The fact that money was rendered for this experience at all is a travesty. -1 stars read more

I've been here several times now and have consistently had a great experience. The staff here treat you well and the rooms provide total relaxation. I've had facials and various types of massages here and all were fantastic! I love the initial foot soak in the waiting room with magazines and tea or water. The different rooms seem to have different amenities, and all are comfortable and play light soothing music with soft lights. My only suggestion would be to give people the option of having a steam shower either before or after the massage - it's the only thing that could make the experience even better! read more

I've gone for massages as a guest of my mom, courtesy of her level 4 card holder status. Overall I have good experiences but one thing that's was a little off putting was we were brought in to change 5-10 min after our scheduled appointment time (plus we were there early) and we start with a foot soak that cuts into some of the hour massage time. Now all that aside, I had my best massage experience at this spa with Marisol. She provided excellent pressure and worked out all the knots and kinks in my back and neck. So so good! I absolutely would book a massage with her again. My moms massage was mediocre. She usually tries to get in with Alec (and recommends him!) but for some reason they set her up with someone else this session. read more

I really hate having to write this negative review; however, I think it's very important that I share my experience at the Nordstrom Spa for a facial. Let me be clear of the pros: the staff was incredibly kind and attentive, the amenities were clean and aesthetically pleasing, and the price was right.. That being said, the reason for my 2-star review is that the condition of my skin after the facial has become terrible. Naturally, I have always had clear, blemish-free skin..not anymore. Approximately 2 or 3 days after my facial, I woke up to 4-5 cystic,deep,humongous blemishes right on the center of my cheeks. Never in my life have I experienced blemishes like this. I tried everything..nothing has taken the blemishes away. My facial was on Friday Feb14, the date is currently April13, and the deep pimples still remain on my cheeks. I do not chalk this up to "purging". Unfortunately, I will not be back. read more

Came to Seattle for my birthday and decided to treat myself to the spa. I received a pedicure and massage. The pedicure was fine just wasn't really a fan of the atmosphere. I sat in something equivalent to a reclining computer chair and they had the little pink foot basins rather than the massage chairs and foot tubs you have at typical nail salons. Also, it was off in a random corner that didn't seem like well placed. The massage location, on the other hand, seemed more like your typical massage parlor. My masseuse was EXCELLENT!!! She used the perfect amount of pressure and didn't talk too much--my kinda massage. Wish I could have taken her back with me to Iowa. Oh well, maybe I'll be able to visit again. If so, I'd definitely skip the pedicure and go straight to the massage. read more

Melissa, the spa manager called me a few days after my last review posting. She was incredibly kind and apologetic for the experience I had with Suki and invited me to return for a another massage. I took her up on it and booked the same massage with Johanna. She was everything I could have wanted in a massage therapist. She: -Asked about my needs and tended to them properly -Used a mixture of techniques (i.e. didn't stroke me continuously like my last experience) -Chatted with me when I initiated -Facilitated a calming environment -Recommended other services she thought I could benefit from -Mailed me a thank you card :) I'm appreciative of Nordstrom Spa for being committed to customer service and going the extra mile to ensure all visitors are receiving the service they are paying good money for and ensuring their operations are in line with the Nordstrom brand. read more

This weekend I had a man put his hands on me in a way I had never before experienced.... After welcoming me and leading me into a quiet darkened room, he politely excused himself while I undressed and slipped into a soft, comfy robe. He returned and led me down a quiet hall where there was a bowl full of beautifully scented warm water to soak my feet before he dried them off, slid my slippers on and led me back to my room - even darker now, with candles throughout. He had drawn a hot, bubbly bath for me to immerse in complete with Dead Sea Salts and lavender essential oils - but only after he had rubbed my body, front and back, with a lovely smelling, smoothing body polish that left my skin and my spirit feeling refreshed and relaxed. Once in the tub, he attended to me quietly the entire time, bringing me a bottled water and occasionally making adjustments to the jets massaging away my tension in the tub. At one point, he pulled out a special nozzle and directed the strong spray to my......lower legs and feet - as if he could sense that they were tense from my busy weekend and needed a bit of special attention. After a while, he quietly left me in silence where I had the opportunity to reflect on life and all the beautiful things that have come my way recently. After I slipped out of the tub and back into my robe, I met him at the door, where he led me to another room and guided me to lay down on a heated bed covered in a silken plastic material (here's where it gets a bit kinky, folks), where he proceeded to slather my entire body with mud. Yes, mud. With algae. And seaweed. After I was coated in mud, he enveloped me in the plastic and started softly rubbing my head before he spread a thick paste through my hair and wrapped it up in a towel. Once I was settled and toasty, again he briefly left me to myself and my thoughts. Again, he returned - this time to start a shower for me. He delicately shrouded me in a towel and guided me to the shower where he directed me to cleanse myself of the mud and return to the bed again before he closed the door. Newly clean and reeling from all the pampering, I laid back on the bed complete with fresh towels. After a short while, he came back with a cold beverage and a gentle lotion that he again rubbed all over my body before smiling and showing me that my clothing and accessories had helpfully been moved to the closet of the room I was currently in. He instructed me to take the time I needed rising from the bed and bid me farewell. Sounds HAWT, right? Well, it was (but not in a dirty way), and I think that was because my LMP ALEC was entirely communicative about things during the service that might make me uncomfortable and made an amazing effort to make sure that I knew what was going to happen throughout and he went above and beyond to turn me and cover me in a manner that was totally appropriate and made me feel at ease. Apparently, he reads the reviews online and takes any complaints or suggestions to heart (no suggestions here, Alec - just a virtual *high five* and keep enjoying SYTYCD!) My spa package was $180 with gratuity included and lasted 2 1/2 - 3 hours (after you've relaxed *that* much, it's a bit difficult to track the time). My company paid for the whole thing and sent all the ladies in our office (all 3 of us), which was amazing - but I would have to say that there is no doubt in my mind that I would do it again on my own dime. Who wants to go with? P.S. Minus one star for that hideous drop/panel ceiling. They do cover your eyes for most of the services where you're laying on your back, but c'mon now - don't tell me Nordies can't afford a nicer ceiling! read more

Booked in for a pedicure last minute (yesterday) and got in, couldn't do a double pedicure with my husband though... So we had to go back to back.... I didn't have to leave a credit card number, even with the short notice - which was very surprising. We arrived early for the appointment so stopped in to eat breakfast on the 4th floor at the cafe. After breakfast we took the elevator up to the 5th floor (where the spa is located). The initial front desk room is large and spacious, with a friendly guest services staff greeting us. I then was invited back to the private rooms for my pedicure. The pedicure room and pedicure chairs were quite disappointing. The chairs were like barber chairs with no blankets or sheets covering it so just skin to leather action.... The pedicure bowls were just large glass or plastic bowls with no plastic liners - (not very hygienic). I picked out my nail polish (no choice of gel polish I was told) with a small selection of either Essie, Deborah Lippmann and some other brand I can't remember. I was then left to soak in the water for a few minutes (that was too lukewarm for my liking)... I had gel on my toes though, so I thought the esthetician would start removing my gel polish right away.... When she came back I had to remind her about the gel.... She seemed surprised so I assume the front desk didn't inform her that I had gel. The gel I had on was stronger than usual so I warned her it will take a while and she will have to file most of it off before soaking it with the acetone. She had a foot scrub ready so started with that, then got rid of the water and started to remove the gel polish. She did a good job at removing them, although it took a little while. The rest of the pedicure was super mediocre, nothing special and nothing stood out. The massage was not a massage at all, just rubbing and a quick finish. Quite disappointing as I am used to getting amazing pedicures at other salons. This was rather surprising to me as Nordstrom's is a "high-end" department store and you would expect their spa services to be the same. The crappy part is that the polish did not fully dry (I wasn't put in to a dryer at all) - so once I got downstairs to the makeup department, I smudged my big toe! I know this is my fault, but I couldn't be bothered to go up to get it fixed. Will not be back for spa services, and will stick to just shopping for shoes/makeup and clothes! read more

I had a really great manicure at this place. I'm not a big into talking during spa services and was glad that I could just sit and space out while getting a pretty epic 10-15 minute hand/arm massage. The woman who did my manicure (WISH I remembered her name) was nice, friendly and gave me the best hand massage I've ever had, including all massage therapists, etc. I had short nails, dark polish--and it held up for 12 days before chipping. Can't complain about that. My only complaint were the dogs in the waiting area. Nordstrom, you are going to lose me as a customer if you continue on this path of emulating the european practice of having dogs in every nook and cranny of your store. A woman brought her two britney spaniels into the salon shoe department last week, and it PEED on the floor, splashing myself and the prada display. Seriously? WTF on the pet owner, but bigger WTF for having pro-dog policy in a location that, presumably, makes it money selling unused/un-peed upon goods. read more

Luxury service! From beginning to end everything was pleasant and up to the best standards. I got a facial and a peeling and the aesthetician was very patient and informative throug the entire proccess. I left the spa smooth and sparkly. Definitely a good place to give yourself a reward after a long week or just indulge yourself! Prices are reasonable for the services and costumer service they provide. You can also buy the beauty products they used on the service you received which I think is nice ! Definitely coming back every month. read more

This spa is what I expect it to be since it is from Nordstrom. It is nice, clean, peaceful, and has the feeling of "luxury". But even with all that I expected the prices to be considerably overpriced, but I thought they were pretty reasonable in comparison to other spas I have been to. I only have a couple of gripes about this place: 1.) When I first started coming here I definitely could tell that I wasn't receiving the same customer service as some of the other customers. As I started to come on a regular basis that seemed to change, but I don't appreciate that it took them awhile to treat me like any other customer. How are you supposed to have returning customers with this kind of service? 2.) Do not make an appointment right when they open. Most of my appointments were on Saturdays where the spa opens at 9:00AM, but Nordstrom opens at 9:30AM. To get into the building you have to go through where the workers go through, but you have to buzz someone to let you in. The couple of times that I tried to do this it just was annoying to wait for someone for 10 minutes to let me in. So if you can make an appointment for a time when Nordstrom is open as well, that would be my suggestion. Other than those two gripes I like it here. I hope to be returning again soon. read more

I came here and saw Johanna for a Slimming and Toning Body Wrap Massage. Once I was checked in, the man at the reception counter had an OK customer service, he did not make you feel welcome. Water and tea was not even offered to me. As I went and sat down, another front desk lady went to offer two ladies a cup of tea. She glanced over at me and then asked if I would like something to drink. From then Johanna came outside and brought me into my room. She made the experience from then a remarkable one =) She escorted me to the "relaxing room" where I was in my robe, with my foot soak, and a heating pad resting on my shoulders..while I fill out my health form. We then headed back to my room and Johanna proceed with the service. She was explaining things as she was performing it and giving me heads up if it was cold/hot, how it should feel, and what she was putting on my body. She gave me a scalp massage towards the end of my service and omg, I felt like I was in heaven. It was so nice and relaxing! Before I checked out, Johanna recommended a few products to me. Some people may think it's weird or akward that they do that but I understand it completely. If you are getting a service done and would like to keep up with your look or health. Then of course, they will recommend a few products that will help you out. I did purchase the Thalgomince Creme gift set and have been using it ever since. Overall, I had a nice experience. Will definitely go back to see Johanna, but this time I am going to get a full on body massage!! read more

The gal spoke very poor English (was not a huge concern of mine, I could understand her, but nonetheless just an observation) and after she asked my occupation the next 45 minutes were spent with me giving her financial advice. A spa. In Nordstrom. I died and went to heaven. The only thing I could afford was a facial ($110). It was the best facial there ever was. My face looks fantastic and is glowing. The spa is very nice, but they do a tacky thing: 1. At the end of each treatment, you come out and they have lined products up for you as "recommendations" which creates an awkward moment. They should ask if you'd like some products recommendations, not push them on you. I used to come here for spray tans all the time. About a year ago, they switched their formula. Plus, they took you out of the treatment rooms and into practically a closet. The new formula is not even half as good as the old. You could not even tell I was tanned, when the last formula was really amazing. Also did some waxing here, and it was all very well done. I went in last week for a manicure and pedicure while on a recent business trip, and it was the best I have had in a long time. My appointment was with Cam - she was warm, welcoming, and attentive right away. She helped me pick out my colors, which always is an issue for me, and she nailed it (pun intended?). I was ready to buy some Jane Iredale foundation. I needed assistance with matching the tint to my skin tone. I was referred to the person who was supposed to be able to do that. From the start it was clear she had no idea how to match foundation tints, she didn't even know how to tell if my skin was warm, cool or yellow. I had to teach her how to read the jane Iredale color chart. After finally trying a lot of testers, I wanted to try a tint that was between two others but she did not have a tester. She did have a new tube of that color but she said she could not open it to create a tester in that color. I finally decided on a foundation formulation and color, with no help from the salesperson, and when I told her I wanted to buy it she could not figure out where it was. I am writing this review because on feb 17th I did a girls night with my friend got pedicures which felt great followed by facials which also were great we then bought the product they recommended us to buy , then went and bought matching pajamas and makeup! Everything seemed great . We left happy but 4 days later the polish from 5 of my toes was completely missing . This has never happened to me before . I called and emailed Nordstrom spa and the store manager no one ever got back to me . I am so disappointed I came all the way down from Bellingham for my girls night and spent a lot of money with Nordstrom and no one could even call me back . So sorry for the two star but I was SO disappointed!!! Hope this is a one off situation and not common. Make sure you call and double check your appointment because they somehow lost mine. I drove down from BELLINGHAM got up very early to be there. They had to fit me in with a quick 30 min facial after waiting 30 min to be squeezed in. Although the staff was friendly they never really acted apologetic and I did not get any compensation ( not even 20%off ). Best mani/pedi ever. I had an awful experience at another Seattle-area spa (see my other reviews for more info), but I was so pleased at how pleasant my experience at Spa Nordstrom was. The french pedi lasted forever, too -- no chips at all throughout my 2 week honeymoon and my feet looked fantastic on the beach :) They also do great brow waxes. My eyebrows are the bane of my existence -- we're constantly at war. They're so thin and sparse, and no matter what I do, I can't get them to look natural. I have emailed the spa at Seattle twice, with no reply, or response. I came in for a prenatal massage, as I was days away from giving birth and needed to relax to help my body go into labor. I've had one of their prenatal massages with my other pregnancies, so I figured I would book again. It turned out to be a mistake I am still thinking about months later, which brings me to leave a review. The reason why I can't shake this appointment is because the masseuse would not stop talking!!!! The main topic of conversation was her life story & how shitty her mother was. She told me everything, how crappy she was & how much she hated her. And then she shared that her baby sister drowned when she was younger. Saying "it's better she drowned than having to live the life she was destined for". Mind you, I was just about 40 weeks pregnant, trying to relax to jumpstart my labor. Talking about little babies drowning and how crappy her mother was, did not sit well with me. After she mentioned the drowning, I tried to give her the hint that I didn't want any more communication. Not sure if she got the hint or not. But we finished the service, I threw my clothes on, and got the hell out of there. I finally had my baby about a week later, & I still think about that appointment and how sad and disappointed the whole situation made me. I usually recommend the Nordstrom spa to everyone who asks, but after that experience, I'm not so sure I would again. I would hate to have another expecting mother walk out of that room feeling the way I did. read more

Queena at Spa Nordstrom gave me the BEST deep-tissue massage I have EVER had!!! I am a fan of deep-tissue but in all my years in Seattle have not found a decent one until Queena. She specializes in deep-tissue, and is also the most pleasant person you will ever meet! I HIGHLY recommend her for any aches/pains you may have--I feel FABULOUS! Nordstrom in Seattle and Bellevue are the best in the area. Spa Nordstrom has an amazing staff that is in sync with the entire Nordstrom business approach. The Spa is tucked away in the Downtown Seattle Flagship store on the Fifth floor. Scheduling is very easy and they can typically accommodate same day appointments. Have had the opportunity to see Sonni, Gina and Y for Manicures and Pedicures. Johanna and Karyn are fantastic for deep tissue massage. Bridgett is a wizard for perfecting your eyebrow arch and tinting. The Spa is serene, clean and a great little escape. Would recommend it to anyone looking for top notch pampering. read more
