Went back again with a friend. Their chemicals are so strong in the hot tubs that it bleached my good bathing suit. They said the owner would call me about it, but no one's ever contacted me in the last 2 weeks. The bathing suit was all blue when I went in and bleached out everywhere the water touched. Great sauna to relax and unwind! My friend and I came here on a weekend to relax and detox. The staff is warm and welcoming. After checking in, they give you slippers, robe, towels, and a locker to put everything in. It's not too big of a facility. They have 3 mini pools to soak in and 3 saunas and of course showers, bathrooms, and a relaxing area with water and tea. Makes a great place to bring a book! I enjoyed that it was a quiet sauna and spa, meaning no or very hushed little talking. Very different than what I'm used to but I can see how it can make relaxing at the sauna a more positive experience. They also host a lot of fun events that are talking friendly, if that's more your jam! I really enjoyed the experience! read more

I'm so glad to have found the Ladies Room in Greenwood. This winter has felt dryer than usual, so my skin was in need of humidity. I chose to come in on a Wednesday, which is open to all-genders. I also came in early afternoon to take advantage of their happy hour pricing, $15 off a 2 hour spa pass. This is available Wed - Fri. You must check in on or after 12:00 PM and at or before 4:00 PM to qualify for the discount. The Ladies Room offers the following: 3 pools (Hot Soaking, Tepid Soaking, & Cold Plunge) 2 saunas (Cedar Dry & Himalayan Salt) Eucalyptus Steam Room Relaxation Room I spent the first hour of my visit going between the pools, steam room and sauna. Afterwards, took a nice shower then spent the remaining time in the Relaxation Room. I love that they have books and tools to help inspire journaling. They also have tea in this area so that was a nice touch for relaxation. I was actually surprised at how quiet it was during my 2 hour visit, as I have read mixed reviews on the noise levels. I felt pampered and relaxed during my time here. If there is an area for improvement, I do think they can add additional amenities in the locker room to enhance the experience. Some I'd like to see are hair ties, a wet bag or some sort of device to wring out wet swimwear, or moisturizing products for the face. The Ladies Room is a wonderful spa where you can find peace and tranquility. I went on a Wednesday afternoon, and it wasn't too crowded. They had a discounted spa pass (max stay of 2 hrs) for $45 which was nice. One of the front ladies gave a tour of the place after I've signed the waiver, and they asked that I shower before getting in to any of the rooms/pools which is good since hygiene! I checked out the heated rooms first and while in there, there were a couple other guests that came in and out. There were a total of 3 rooms with varying temperatures/type: steam, sauna, himalayan salt. The other side of the spa are the pools. And in there were 5/6 other guests. It is a silent spa, so if you want to talk with friends or family you came with, you've gotta keep a soft voice. I feel like I got a little loud at one point, and one of the employees quickly went to remind us that it's a silent spa which I respect since they do mention that and it's also posted by the wall. Came into the ladies room on a Sunday afternoon. When you enter the friendly front desk staff inform you on spa policies and what to expect. You are provided with flipflops, a high quality robe, and two towels. There is two saunas, a steam room, a cold plunge tub, warm tub, and a hot tub. I wish the saunas were a bit warmer. The steam room was missing a few tiles. The showers are open with soap. The bathrooms have hair ties and lotion. The staff can provide ear plugs if needed. The spa is a silent spa. I went with a friend and had a good experience here. I liked that they meter the number of people in the spa at any given time so even though there might be points where there's a couple people using something, you can generally wait a few minutes in another area and then it will be free. The baths were nice and fairly clean and in good repair. The floors were also clean and I didn't really slip or slide as much as I thought I might in the flip flops we were given. The robe was very plush and comfy too. The steam rooms and sauna were nice, though they're not probably quite as hot as they say with how frequently folks are going in and out. The shower facilities were clean and helpful, but it might have been nice to have something for wet swimsuits or some hair ties. Additionally, my locker was very difficult to open unless I slid the key in just right. They do offer shower caps and accessible sized robes though upon request. The relaxation room is comfy and nice. I do wish they'd had some small snacks in addition to the water and tea. Overall it's a nice space and I think I was pleasantly surprised by how much space I felt I had even though it was pretty busy while we were there. Disorganized and Disappointing Mother's Day Experience I was genuinely looking forward to my first visit to The Ladies Room after hearing such positive reviews, but my Mother's Day experience was a major letdown and unfortunately, not at all the relaxing gift it was meant to be. My husband had booked a spa pass and a body scrub treatment for me as a Mother's Day surprise. He let me know the pass started at noon, so I arrived around 12:20 PM. When I checked in, staff told me I needed to be "ready by 1:30 PM." The facility itself was fine, though understandably crowded for the holiday. What truly ruined the day was the complete lack of clear communication and the inaccessibility of staff. I spent time trying to find someone to clarify where I was supposed to go or what to do next. Eventually, I was told to wait in the relaxation area, where I sat for 20 minutes at 1:30 without seeing a single staff member. Feeling unsure around 1:50 I searched again for help only to be told that I had been out of the soaking pool too long and could no longer receive my 2:00 PM treatment. This was heartbreaking. The entire visit was meant to be a thoughtful gift from my husband, and I left feeling frustrated and upset. Because The Ladies Room is a phone-free facility, I had no way to double-check my appointment time or advocate for myself once I was inside. I initially assumed 1:30 PM was my treatment time since it didn't make sense to have a 2:00 PM service when I was expected to be checked out by 2:20. Sadly, no one clarified that timing for me until it was too late. I'm giving two stars instead of one only because one staff member seemed genuinely sorry about the miscommunication. But that apology doesn't change the fact that I walked away without receiving the service that was paid for and without the relaxing experience I had been so looking forward to. I won't be returning, and I hope the owners take this feedback seriously. Better communication, clearer instructions, and a more attentive staff presence could have made all the difference. read more

Wow, I'm so shocked by how much I enjoy this. I've been spoiled by Japan and Italy for spas/bathhouses. This is a much smaller scale, but it was still incredibly impressive!! There are 3 thermal pools: cold, warm and hot. They also have a steam room, a Salt Sauna and a traditional hot sauna. There's also a nice salorian with water, tea and books. You can just lounge and read in there. I really loved the volume, scale and respect. It seems like everyone is so mindful of their surroundings and impact on other's experiences. A few things to be aware of before booking: I'm a larger women (20-24) and I fit in the robe and shoe, but I wouldn't say they're Uber comfortable or anything. Also, reservations are in 2hr blocks and additional services like massages, facials and energy work will need a 2nd reservation as well. Overall... I'm already trying to book another appointment! I got a massage here and it was great! The person checked in often that I was comfortable and she was providing the right pressure. I also do the hydrotherapy but didn't stay the full 2 hours as to be honest it was so crowded. At one point there were a total of nine people in one of the tubs with me and we were knee to knee. While there are signs to not talk pretty much everyone around me was talking most of the time in groups of friends. Would be a fun place to come with friends to hang out but it didn't quiet have the tranquil spa experience I was hoping for. read more

My friends and I had a 4-6p appointment on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all! The lady at the front was extremely nice and welcoming. She knew it was our first time and gave us a tour. This place is so clean and beautifully decorated. It's a small space.. but they did a great job with layout and high ceilings for the space given. I did take a star off because I wish they gave a little bit more space in the locker room for how many lockers they provide. When we first arrived, there were a handful of people in there and we were all bumping into each other. Other than that, highly recommend! Three soaking pools, 2 saunas, 1 steam room & a tea/relaxation room. This is a silent spa but we were able to talk quietly amongst the three of us. It was a wonderful experience. read more

Update - after going to a few more spas across Seattle, including the infamous Olympus Spa, I find that The Ladies Room is the best for quality spa. It's a little pricier but for all the right reasons. You'll have some spas without pool diversity or steam room diversity, or even a place to sit and relax. All of them have time limits, don't allow electronics, and most of them are women only. So, the fact that the Ladies Room offers unlimited time days, all-gender days, a salt room, and lots of breathing space without communal pressure, is already a lot better than all the other WA spas I've been to. Still not as great as CA, but it'll do. Plus, it makes me feel better seeing that they clean the place every few hours. I highly endorse this place, and for the first time, I joined a spa membership! The Ladies Room is still somewhat of a hidden gem and I hope it stays that way so it doesn't get overcrowded like the others. BUT... I have started to see large (6-10 people) groups come in after work hours so the future is uncertain. read more

I went for the first time today and spent almost 6.5 hours there and I haven't felt this great and weightless in a long time. I feel like I can even breathe easier, like there's more room in my chest for my lungs to expand. The tightness that I felt in my chest from the compounding anxiety of everyday life has been lifted. It's small and intimate and this makes it all the more relaxing. I topped off my long stay with an excellent facial with Amanda. I had booked the signature facial, but when I got on the table I asked her if there was a different facial that she'd recommend based on my DRY-ASS skin. She recommended the dermaplaning add-on which I decided to take her up on. I really appreciated all the tips she gave me for my ongoing skin concerns, and loved that she told me exactly what she was doing, when, and why. At the end of it, she even wrote down a routine for me based on products I already use and a new one she recommended. I am so, so, so glad I found this place and decided to give it a try. I will be a loyal customer here for as long as I live in Seattle. The only possible improvement I can see, and it's obviously minor bc I'm still giving it 5 stars, might be the addition of some reclining chairs for when you need to take a quick spa nap on a long Tuesday. 4 stars for soaking, three for the facial - so a 3.5 all together. Exciting to see this type of spa option more in Seattle, so I'll round up. First, I had a 90 min facial. It seemed a bit ... novice. The focus was definitely on relaxation rather than efficacy. No analysis of my skin, no recommendations after the fact (not even any product recommendations.) One small thing was that no spa headband was used so all the products ended up in my hair. That said, it was super relaxing and the massaging was great (took a lil spa nap). Second, I did the 2 hour pool rotation. I brought a book and like that that's encouraged here because I don't usually see it at some other spots. Pools are smaller than at somewhere like Banya 5, but the atmosphere is more luxe here, and it seems like they keep the numbers reasonable. The sitting room was a nice touch but people are at varying levels of wetness in there which is a bit off with faux fur on the chairs. Staff was attentive and super lovely. I went on the mixed gender day and although it was generally fine, I did see a man in the locker room while I was changing (there's only one). I would figure the policy would be men change in the restrooms, but I have truly no idea what men are told. Might be good to explain that policy further so you're not surprised butt-out with a dude. read more

The staff was friendly, and the spa itself was nice and the rooms were great. It was decorated very cute also. It was nice that they had kombucha for sale to drink afterwards. This is also a quiet spa, even though it's something you would want to do with your friends, they ask you to keep quiet so that others relax. This makes complete sense, however I was there during a 2 for 1 special where you go with your friend. So it was hard to stay quiet, and luckily there were other girls there with friends chatting too, so it wasn't just us. Luckily no one shushed us, but just keep in mind if you are going with friends. My main issues are 1. it wasn't that size inclusive. They only had an xl robe, however it fit more like a medium, even though it was stretchy. It was also pretty short, so I didn't feel that comfortable in it. Even my friend who is a spa expert, was shocked at how small they were, and she is a size small. It would be more inclusive if they had up to 4x which is unfortunately hard to find, and to my shins. But us plus size women would be very appreciative. We hate that we even have to ask... 2. We were in the sauna/spa area for 2 hours. I was shocked to find no water anywhere in the soaking room. I was so Dehydrated, and the only water they had, was across the hall in the sitting room. Since I had been soaking, I was wet, and so I felt it would have been obnoxious to walk across in the wet slippers they give, plus having a robe that didn't really fit. I would have soaked the velvet couches. I highly recommend putting a giant water cooler in the actual spa room, so that I can stay hydrated while I soak. read more

I understand (and appreciate) the desire for quiet, relaxing vibes, but being told that our whispers were too loud and we needed to be silent made me not want to go back. As a whole we had a really great experience! Everything was clean, nicely finished, and a great atmosphere. The folks that work there were kind. Only a few things that I think would help to improve the experience: - Different robes. Instead of a typical terry cloth towel-type material they were more of a cotton sweat shirt material, which felt really weird to put on over a wet suit. - Also, it would be awesome to get some more size inclusive options in the robes and towels. I asked for a plus size robe, which they didn't have. That said, the ones they do have are XL and were fairly generous, but just because it worked for me doesn't mean it works for other folks/bodies. Love that they have lots of different sized sandals though, that's great! As someone with big feet I can't tell you how often spa sandals don't fit. - It would be really cool if they did "quiet hours" or "quiet days" as opposed to being a quiet spa all the time. I'd say 90% of the groups in there were quietly chatting, which seems natural when you get a group of friends soaking together. But, totally understood some folks want to relax... maybe there's a happy medium? All in all I'll happily be back, maybe to try a service. read more

I LOVE The Ladies Room. It's such a relaxing oasis and gives me such a lovely break from the day to day. I've been a handful of times since they've opened and have had multiple massages and a facial there while also doing a spa pass with each visit. The staff is incredibly friendly and the services are top notch. I have only ever been by myself so I bring a book and spend 1.5 hours circulating around the saunas, pools and steam rooms and snuggle up in the relaxation room with my book until my service. I've never felt that it was too crowded and I've only experienced a loud talking group once. Every other time people seem to be quiet and extremely respectful. This is a 5 star experience no matter what but if there were any improvements to be made, I'd love to see a water station near saunas/pools as well as have bags to put your swimsuit in when you are done. I forgot to bring my own bag during my last visit and my husband picked me up to head somewhere and I had nowhere to put my wet bathing suit. Additional amenities in the changing area (dry shampoo, deodorant, hair ties) and an extra clock or two would be a big plus. I love this place and I hope they stay in business forever. read more

i wanted to love it sooooo badly! but the experience just wasn't there. it felt like i wasted my money a bit. i booked the 2-hour spa session for $60. the facilities were actually fairly good - they have a hot tub, cold dunk tub, a warm tub, infrared and traditional sauna, and a steam room. everything was clean and the people working there were nice. very well kept, and super comfy robes. the tea in the relaxation room was tasty! the huge negative for me was the very loud guests. the spa advertises that it is a silent spa (and has signs everywhere saying 'silence is golden' ) but there was a group of 3 women speaking at full volume the entire time i was there. like...never stopped talking. and several different spa employees were in and out constantly, so i know they were aware. it just didn't end up being relaxing, as i really hoped it would be. i ended up leaving early (and would've left an hour early if i didn't have a grocery pickup scheduled). i won't be returning, unfortunately. read more

I have come here twice now! One time with friends and another time with my husband on the all gender day (Wednesdays!). I think it's fairly priced - I have only booked the 2 hour spa pass but they have great saunas (one electric and the other infrared), a steam room, 3 pools and a sitting room with tea! I really like this place. I feel it's very welcoming, relaxed and just a nice place to occasionally go to unwind. The only thing I would suggest would be to put some low relaxing music in the pool area as I think it would add to the atmosphere. Other than that it's great! Went for my first time this last weekend. It was extremely relaxing and they really take care of the space. I felt comfortable the entire time and felt there was a good flow between spaces and never felt crowded. Everyone respected the no phones rules and to be quiet in the spaces. They supply sandals, a robe, and two towels to use during your time. They have showers and a little locker room to lock away your things, key provided and no personal lock required. I first came for a massage and enjoyed my service. The therapist recommend trying to get in a bit beforehand to relax my muscles before my next massage so when I returned for my next massage I booked a spa pass as well. I'm so glad I did! The spa was amazing, I was worried about filling 2 hours of time but got into a good rhythm alternating between the saunas (I enjoyed the infrared over the electric), steam room, 3 pools (even the cold one), and sitting room. Bring some reading material as phones aren't allowed in most spaces. After 3 glorious hours I left feeling like I was floating on air. The aesthetic is very nice, I went on an all-gender day and while it was fine, I'll stick to the other days. My only input would be for some atmosphere music in the pool area and an area to lay down or nap. I can't wait to come back! read more

Let me preface with the fact that I LOVE hydrotherapy! The space is laid out in a way that is easy to navigate with 3 clear zones-the hydrotherapy pools, the sauna/steam rooms and the relaxation zone (featuring delicious warm tea, cozy chairs and a fun selection of books to peruse). The space is beautiful with new fixtures and furnishings, everything was extremely clean! There are two different saunas with different sizes and features as well as a steam room and an additional cold shower station to use in the area to refresh between or after heat sessions. I often find steam rooms overwhelming but the L shaped layout allows you to position yourself where the flow feels good for you. All guest were extremely respectful and staff were lovely! Ventured here with high hopes to celebrate my wife's birthday. I dig the aesthetic and general ambiance. The lounge is great for relaxing and chatting. The locker rooms are a bit tight and there isn't any private changing area beyond using a bathroom stall. The amenities in general are nice, with several pools and saunas, though the pools are a smidge small for the volume of guests I encountered on a Saturday. The hot tub had some chipped tiles on the steps. I was disappointed by two things. First being the loudness of what's billed as a silent spa. Despite being informed at check in and signs being posted literally everywhere, most patrons talked at regular volume the entirety of my two hour visit. I said something twice to no avail, staff finally said something after hearing me and yet the talkative groups carried one once staff left. I struggled to relax and really enjoy the space because I was so agitated at the lack of consideration by others. My second issue was the lack of bathroom basic toiletries such as lotion and q-tips. While I wanted to love this spot, I won't return. Unless the business better upholds the silent spa and potentially limits groups (there were 12 folks sharing the space during my session, with two groups of four chatting and blocking the pool stairs). Having some soothing background music would have been nice. Yuan Spa will remain my go to spot. read more
